Reviews for Suites Antonios

Review 1:On two occasions the internet didn't work. But as soon as the lady on reception was aware of the situation it was resolved.

Review 2:The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I travelled to la paz for two days. The hotel was happy to keep my luggage until I returned. Infact my bus wasn't leaving until 10.00pm so I left my luggage and went out. This wasn't an issue. The breakfast was good. I was offered eggs every morning. (Read previous reviews) overall I would recommend this hotel.

Review 3:For whow are allergic maybe it is not the best choice. You have carpet, courtain, etc.

Review 4:It is very well located, the staff is very friendly, you have coca tea and coffe whenever you want, and it is a good price. The breakfast is excelent, best in Peru with 5 differents kinds of fruits, eggs, cheese, etc.

Review 5:Barking dogs next door, only heard them at night and not every night.

Review 6:I really liked that they pick you up when you arrive on a bus, as it was late at night when I arrived. The hotel has many rooms on 4 different levels. My room was on the second floor. I had a TV, storage closet, desk, one bed, my own bath with hot water, toilet and sink. The room was clean and a nice size. The bed was a little on the hard side, pillows were comfy. It was fairly quiet (except for the neighbors barking dog one night). They serve breakfast in the morning, and it was one of the best buffet breakfasts I had in Peru. Nice dining room. They have a few different places where you can sit - in the lobby they have two computers for your use. Wifi was free and I had good reception. Some of the staff speak english. The front desk staff helped me with a day trip to the islands in Lake Titicaca. The location was very convenient to the central part of town as well as many restaurants. Taxi’s are everywhere and pretty cheap! They have “tea stations” on every level where you can help yourself to hot water and make tea or coffee. For the breath challenged, they also have oxygen in the lobby for use if you need it. This is high elevation, and can be cooler than some parts of Peru. Lake Titicaca is beautiful!

Review 7:Stained bedspread. Rooster & dog noise in morning.

Review 8:So many pros: Great staff - very responsive with e-mails, booking transport, tours, ordering from restaurant for delivery. Laundry service, water for sale in lobby, tea, coffee, & supplemental oxygen available if needed. English spoken, good breakfast served early which included egg cooked to order, fresh fruit, bread, avocado, etc. TV in room, good hit water in shower & sink! They store luggage. Daily room clean and fresh towels. Decent wi-fi in rooms. Rooms were good and plenty.

Review 9:Nothing

Review 10:Read the other reviews and then booked based on the excellent scores - and they were right. I can't say place enough about this hotel. Pickup from the bus terminal went smoothly as did the check in. Room was great. Computers and printer provided free of charge. Breakfast was fantastic. Located close to the town centre and the many restaurants. Staff were very helpful. Overall one of the best value for money hotels we have stayed in. We will certainly stay here again - it just takes the stress out of travelling to Puno.

Review 11:After dropping off our luggages in the room, we left to get dinner. Two hours later we returned to a smelly room. The smell came from the toilet, which we only used once and flushed before we left. Luckily there was a window in the room so after airing it, it was better. From then on we made sure to always keep the bathroom door shut. Even then it was still a bit smelly. Our room was on the second floor near the stairs. Through the thin walls we could quite clearly hear people talking and walking through the corridor. If you're a light sleeper perhaps try to get a room at the end of the corridor.

Review 12:During the initial stage of my trip-planning, the hotel replied promptly and courteously to my email enquiries regarding trip suggestions, transport, and booking. They also offer free shuttle to the hotel. When we arrived at the Puno bus station the staff was already there waiting to drive us to the hotel. Excellent service. The room was spacious enough. The shower was good with decent pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good, with lots of selection including egg, fresh fruits and sliced avocado.

Review 13:Wi-fi is weak in room.

Review 14:Free pick up from the bus station, staff is friendly and helpful. Very good hot shower. Breakfast was really nice, lots of choices!

Review 15:The only negative is that the only power point I could find in my room was in the bathroom in an awkward spot for charging things (no countertop or bench go out things on)

Review 16:Friendly staff, excellent location, clean comfortable rooms

Review 17:My sheets had stains on them.

Review 18:The location was relatively central, quite a quick walk to the square and the main road for something to eat. Breakfast was good, there was quite variety at breakfast for those who like fruit for breakfast there was a wide variety and it was regularly replenished. The rooms are basic but fine, private bathrooms, hot showers with good pressure, spare blankets and pillows, towels and complimentary toiletries. There was wifi throughout and tea and coffee stations on each floor. We only stayed for one night but I had no complaints.

Review 19:Wifi worked well. Shower was hot. Coffee and tea were available at all hours. Among the best breakfasts we've had in all of South America (tons of fresh fruit!)

Review 20:There was a rooster that crowed every morning very early. The shower was either hot or cold with no in between.

Review 21:The front desk was very friendly and accommodating. They helped us recover a lost hat from a restaurant the was closed at the time we needed to leave Puno.

Review 22:-wlan signal not everywhere good but we could change rooms

Review 23:-really helpful stuff and sooo friendly!! - outstanding breakfast with lots of fruits -cosy rooms

Review 24:We only had an overnight stay in Puno unfortunately but this place was great value. It was close (5 minute walk) to lots of restaurants and shops. The room was cosy but has everything you need and very clean too. Breakfast was nice, the usual eggs, bread, fruit, cereal etc.

Review 25:Directions to the property are not clear when driving your own car - had difficulty navigating many of one way streets in the city; no hair dryer in the room - had to ask on reception; basic equipment in the rooms; can be very cold - ask reception for a heater. Generally, my comment would be that you always have to ask reception - they wouldn't explain what's available, will just hand in your keys.

Review 26:Cleanliness, very good value for money, good location - a few minutes walk to the city centre, helpful staff, free teas/coffees on each floor

Review 27:The place is a little dark inside and was noisy. We found the stairs were a bit hazardous in places...uneven. Place could do with a little brightening up. It got cold at night.

Review 28:The staff, especially Victoria, made up for the discomfort of being on the second floor as we were struggling with altitude sickness. Breakfasts were generous with lots of different exotic fruits. Wifi good in lobby.

Review 29:The beds and pillows need to be updated.

Review 30:Hotel staff was excellent and went out of their way to help with tour bookings etc. The location was within walking distance to the square and quality restaurants. Hot tea, coffee and coca leaves were made available 24/7 on every floor and if needed oxygen was available at the front desk.

Review 31:We were impressed with their Great Customer Service. My husband got sick in Cusco so we had to stay an extra 2 days in Cusco. The hotel called me while I was in Cusco to ask me to modify booking so that we do not get charged an extra night. I could no longer modify my booking in Booking.com because it was past the modification deadline. The hotel modified booking for me so that we won't be charged an extra night. Hotel booked our Lake Titicaca Tour and Colca Canyon tour which was cheaper than what I could find on the web. When my husband got sick in Cusco, we had to cancel the Lake Titicaca tour the day before. The hotel did not charge us anything for canceling the Lake Titicaca tour. Staff is so friendly and efficient. Great customer service. They also provided recommendation on where to go and where to eat. Someone from the hotel came to the bus station, got a Taxi for us that took us to the hotel at no charge. We are very happy with the Colca Canyon tour booked by the hotel. Everything went smoothly on time as planned. I wish we could have stayed an extra day and got to see Lake Titicaca. We booked 2 double rooms. The rooms were big and clean. There were heaters in the room which came in handy because it was very cold in Puno. The private bathrooms were very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with lots of choices from fresh fruits, freshly squeezed fruit juices, cold cuts, eggs, cereals, yogurt, bread. We would definitely recommend this place in a heartbeat. Great value for the money. I was corresponding via email with them prior to our stay here to book tours with them and they responded very quickly to all my emails and patiently answered every question I had.

Review 32:You can hear the discussion from the ail to the room.

Review 33:Good location just a few minutes walk away from the shopping street. Clean, comfortable room with duvet! Good breakfast with plenty of fruits. Extremely helpfull lady in the front desk; she will book you tickets to anywhere without an extra cost and even bargain the taxi prise for you!

Review 34:They asked us our arrival time and collected us without any charge. We went on a two day trip and they kept our luggages and allowed us to stay in the hall until our bus departure.

Review 35:Extremely helpful staff who organised our trip to floating islands and our bus to bolivia within 5 minutes of arrival. Free hot drinks always available as self service. Hot showers always.

Review 36:Everything. This is literally the best stay of my 2-month trip in South America. They have everything you need. There are coffee and tea provided 24 hour. The breakfast!! I can't begin to describe it. Eggs, fruits, bread, cheese and great selection of many things. The location is super. It's 3-minute walk to the main square. The room is clean and comfy.

Review 37:Very good location, close to the main square. Good choice of fruits for breakfast. On every floor there was a tea station (coca leafs, mate de coca and selection of teas and infusions).

Review 38:- the hotel is quite old and the room inside is dark - the electric plugs are loosened which are dangerous to use

Review 39:- the location is just two blocks away from the main sqaure - the receptionists can speak good English and are helpful - coca tea & hot water are available anytime just outside your room - breakfast is good with a lot of fruit, bread, tea and omelette - the room is clean and tidy with hot water

Review 40:Shower water pressure wasn't great, but it was hot!

Review 41:Room was huge and very nice. Bed was king size and comfortable. We couldn't figure out how to work the heater but the blankets on the bed kept us very warm. The front desk was awesome about letting us leave our luggage while we went on an overnight tour to the islands (which we booked through them) and then called us a special airport shuttle that was way easier than taking the bus to Juliaca and way cheaper than a taxi. We also had some laundry done which was a little pricey but well done and simple to arrange. The location was very close to the main plaza where all the restaurants were. We were just sad we only got to stay there one night! Also breakfast was above average. Definitely recommended.

Review 42:- the room is quite old which needs to renovate - some electric plugs inside the room are loosened which are dangerous to charge mobile / camera.

Review 43:- the location is just two blocks away from the main square - the breakfast is good with a lot of fruit, omelette and milk etc - the receptionists can speak good English and very helpful - the room is clean and tidy - wifi is strong inside the room - it provides coca tea anytime outside the room

Review 44:Very comfortable warm rooms. Coca tea available outside in hall. Great breakfast with eggs. Cheap laundry service. Organised a very good and inexpensive tour of the Uros Islands.

Review 45:Staff were excellent. Offered to pick us up from the bus station without being asked. Our room was very spacious, clean and well appointed. There are facilities to make a hot cup of tea on every level. Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of fruit.

Review 46:Puno is not a very nice place, the views from the window were not nice. The whole town smells of drains, so you can smell it everywhere including the hotel but it is not the Studios' fault.

Review 47:For South America standards the Studios were clean and had quite a good breakfast (lots of fruit and eggs). Ladies at the front desk were always happy to help and we did ask a lot of questions. Our bus from Puno was at 10:00pm and we could stay in the lobby and have as much tea as we wanted to :)

Review 48:The walls are a little thin, so earplugs were helpful on my second night

Review 49:Lovely facility, super friendly and helpful staff that help you arrange tours, transport, whatever you need, easily and safely walkable to food and shops

Review 50:- hotel offers daily trips organized by local travel agencies, always ask for full list of items included/not-included and name of the agency you are going with. Sometimes these agencies tend to promise stuff they never deliver to. We did not enjoy a day trip we booked at the hotel because we were handed over from one guide to another one, changing groups and transportation means 3 times during a single day trip!

Review 51:- great location - breakfast available early in the morning - large rooms - helpful staff

Review 52:rooms are simple and a bit dated, make sure you have a heater in the room, ask for it, you need one !!

Review 53:good breakfast, convenient and central location, free pick-up from bus-station (Cruz del Sur)…all in all a simple but very friendly and helpful hotel with accommodating staff. very reasonably priced

Review 54:Very helpful staff. Al spoke very good English. We booked a lake titicaca tour through the office, they also suggested reputable companies for travelling by bus onwards to La Paz. All in all a great stay, highly recommend!!

Review 55:Only downside sort of was the wifi. Didn't work in the room at all however in the common areas, kitchen/lobby is was super quick and really reliable. All I needed so not really a negative in my opinion!!

Review 56:Had a lovely stay at Antonio's! Staff we helpful and room was great. King single beds and both bedroom and bathroom really clean! after having been staying in basic hostels for aroundt he same price, the breakfast here was FANTASTIC!! So much variety and all delicious food. Best bread in SA to date!!

Review 57:Suites Antonio's was the best place we stayed in peru! The staff is more than friendly, they did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They picked us up from the bus station in the middle of the night and we could go directly into our room even though it was hours before the normal check in time. They arranged all the tours for us and having breakfast earlyer because we had to get our bus was no problem. We can highly recommend this place, especially because of the lovely staff!

Review 58:The woman at the reception was very nice! She booked my bus to Cusco and also my trip to the islands! I could put my luggage there until late in the evening because my bus was at 10 pm! And I could stay there and use the internet and coffee or tea!!

Review 59:Staff is really outstanding! I was sick for 2 days and Marcos, the man working in kitchen, went out to but something and prepared supper for me! Perfect position, Great breakfast and nice, confortale room. In EU or USA i'd paid 4 times the price for a weaker service! Thumbs up!

Review 60:The staff was very attentive and friendly. They offer you in an email a free pick up from the bus station. breakfast is varied and have plenty of fruits. They ask you how you like your eggs straight away, you never have to wait to be served. Great great value , a Home away from home.

Review 61:Wifi only in common area but this was sufficient.

Review 62:The staff were vere very helpful and supportive. Tour pick up didn't arrive and they followed this up for us. Great location near main square.

Review 63:The location near the attractions, the staff nice, what was wonderful was that there was possibility to make ourself coffee or the on each floor every thing was disposed for use anytime

Review 64:- located at center of Puno - very helpful staff - organization of tours if you ask (competitive prices) - hot drinks (tea, diffrent types of mate) on all floors - comfortable rooms

Review 65:Breakfast in limited, one egg per person. Wifi is working rather closer to reception area.

Review 66:Staff is sympathic and helpful. Hot shower was a blessing. Not far from main square and tourist area. Walking distance or 5 minutes taxi drive to the port to Lago. Staff helped us ordering and arranging transportation for us (bus ticket to Copacabana, taxis to bus station and pickups).

Review 67:I liked everything about this place!

Review 68:Extremely helpful staff Handy central location Clean Comfortable beds Self serve tea and coffee available Great breakfast Reliable wifi Responded to emails prior to my visit promptly and organised tour/ bus trips for great price Free pick up from bus station on arrival and departure

Review 69:It met our expectations

Review 70:Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were large, not luxurious but very functional. Location was good for seeing centre of the town, but some distant from lake Titicaca (although this is mitigated by free transportation offered by most tour companies). Hotel offered quality transfers to Juliaca airport.

Review 71:While I have more tolerance than most, I would say some folks might not like the location, which is actually close to the main plaza, but the little street is kind of dark at night and not very attractive. I had to go near the wifi antenna in the hall to get a signal and while there is a closet with blankets, there is no place to hang your clothes!

Review 72:I really liked that the hotel provided pick up service for free. They were there holding a sign with my name when I got off the bus. The room had a built in safe, which I thought was good, and the room was very quiet, maybe there were not many guests on the 3rd floor. Plus the breakfast spread was very good, and each floor had a table with hot water and tea fixings.

Review 73:Signage on the street non-existent - arriving from Colca Canyon, our driver took ages to find it. Accept the email offer to pick you up on arrival in Puno.

Review 74:Really helpful staff. Tea on every landing. Good breakfast.

Review 75:Upon booking our room at Antonio's suites they immediately emailedus to see if we needed to be picked up. The gentleman who picked us uphad very good English, was super friendly, and told us the best placesto eat. Very friendly, decent breakfast. The room was nice quaint, thetowels were a little starchy as we're the sheets. But overall, veryclean room and we were quite happy for the price.

Review 76:Good location and breakfast, comfortable beds, and very nice staff. They offered us a free pick up service from the bus station, we didn't get their email in time so couldn't use it the day we arrived, and they offered us the free transfer the day we left. And they have computers and a printer in the lobby.

Review 77:Staff arranged a great one day trip for us to the floating islands. We had an early departure and they had breakfast ready early for us. They also helped with bus tickets. We were very pleased with our stay there.

Review 78:Your average budget hotel. Rooms are very clean and spacious, and the breakfast was quite a bit better than many of the other free ones we had on our trip.

Review 79:Being picked up at the bus station. The hotel is located within a 5 minutes walk of the main square. The breakfast is exceptional, with plenty of fresh fruit served from 06.00 which is good for tours starting at 07.30. The eggs are excellent. Rooms are clean and very comfortable, the staff very helpfully.

Review 80:Walking up three flights of stairs was tough, but staff always willing to help with bags.

Review 81:Easy walk to town but away from the night time noise. Very helpful staff. Spacious rooms with comfy beds. Beds were made and towels replaced daily. Excellent buffet breakfast - superb fresh fruits with eggs made to order and freshly squeezed juice.

Review 82:towels were very stiff.. not soft at all. maybe too much starch?

Review 83:walking distance to plaza de armas. staff is nice. free pick up from bus station. the man who came to get us is super sweet and kind, speaks english well (lived in the states for some time). very safe. hot shower. included breakfast was great. lots of fruit selection, olives, bread, yogurt, eggs. stored our luggage while we did a homestay on amantani.

Review 84:It's certainly not a high class hotel but we weren'texpecting that anyway.

Review 85:The staff were wonderful. We were picked up from the bus station and delivered to the Hotel. Next day while we went touring the islands other staff went to buy our bus tickets for futher travel. They were very accomodating. Breakfast was adequate.

Review 86:Good communication although they offered to pick us up from the bus n=but didn't arrive. They remedied this by paying for our taxi on departure. Rooms clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee available both in foyer and on second floor. Wifi good especially in lobby. Computers available to use in lobby also with a printer foc awesome. The best breakfast we have had in 6 weeks of travelling in SA-even made scrambled eggs to order and lots of fresh fruit. Would love to come back again. Thanks

Review 87:Internet on the room could be better.

Review 88:Staff was excellent! First we had a free pick up and later they helped us to book several tours with discount. Perfect service.

Review 89:noise from disco next door, but was not too bad.

Review 90:The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff gave excellent service and was very helpful in making local arrangements and pick up service, breakfast was very good. wifi service excellent,

Review 91:The staff was so friendly and took great care of us. They picked us up from the bus station and even let us hang out at the hotel into the night after our trip to Lake Titticaca. We will return next year!

Review 92:Location is great. Literally 5 mins walk to the main Plaza. Stuff is very helpful and friendly. This place is really good value for money. The breakfast is really good! The great selection of fruit made this hotel the best one I have had in all my trip around Peru compared to other hotels at the same budget. I recommend this place 100%!

Review 93:TV didn't display all the English stations I've found at other hostels in Peru. Room was incredibly cold at night so I was diving under rug-thick blankets by 7:30 every evening! At least my hand-washed laundry was dry following morn.

Review 94:The staff was very helpful in arranging small tours and a collective bus to the airport. Free breakfast was above average, with hot plate of scrambled eggs. Urn of coffee too. I didn't mind walking to nearby Plaza de Armas, pizzerias on Limon Street, even the lake pier further away where you can get cheap boat fare for visiting the "Floating Islands" of the Uros.

Review 95:Staff arranged overnight tour on the lake at a cheaper price than agencies in town. Rooms were clean. Facilities were the best I for the price in puno. Staff was very friendly.

Review 96:rooms were a bit too chilly, lobby and breakfast room as well

Review 97:The staff went way out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. We had altitude sickness and they went to the pharmacy for us, later called a doctor and checked lots of time on us. Very helpful with organizing events and transportation

Review 98:Coming from a 3-days trek in Colca with one of us weakened by physical problems, this place provided just all the comfort we needed to restore ourselves: clean, spacious room with a comfortable bed, with hot water and infusions available all time on the floor. The staff has been extremely kind and helpful all the time. Good breakfast, the most rich and complete in out trip to Peru.

Review 99:The rooms were very comfortable, more a hotel than a hostel. Great value for money and the staff were very helpful and booked our bus tickets, laundry and tours.

Review 100:None.

Review 101:Extremly friendly staff, everything was well organized (you can easily let them organize the trips), and no problem to make calls or print boarding passes. Rich breakfast, flexibility. Good advises with alltitude sickness.

Review 102:The shower was cold and there was a wedding or something going on next door and so it was very loud.

Review 103:The staff were friendly and the breakfast was very yummy.

Review 104:Our room #208 is right beside a karaoke bar. We stayed here Friday and Saturday nights. Did not hear anything Friday night, but the karaoke was very busy and loud Saturday evening from 9PM until probably 2AM early morning.

Review 105:it is close to the central square. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Offer free pickup service from the bus station. Good breakfast and wi-fi is pretty fast in room and lobby.

Review 106:Very helpful staff, lovely big room and in great location

Review 107:Great location and staff

Review 108:Wifi hardly works.

Review 109:Location & Staff

Review 110:Position and staff

Review 111:Rooms were a bit dull

Review 112:The Helpful staff

Review 113:Rooster's crow was very noisy and annoying

Review 114:Breakfast, price

Review 115:can be noisy due to neighbouring disco!

Review 116:LOCATION, frendly staff, excellent restaurant opposite the hotel

Review 117:Moquette on the floor of the room

Review 118:Tea available at each floor Super breakfast with lot of tropical fruits

Review 119:central location staff very helpful and co-operative arranging tours always available
