Reviews for Dar Zman

Review 1:The host is friendly. Facilities are very nice decorated and clean. It is located on the south edge of the medina, 2min from main square. Nice breakfast. Best value for money!

Review 2:Room was a bit small, just big enough for 2 beds and our suitcases.

Review 3:Location was right off street, but still near to the main medina square. Fridge in room was a big plus. Pleasant staff, with the usual breakfast.

Review 4:We had no hot water for 3 days. The water was ice cold. We complained about it each day but it was never fixed. They just had us take our shower stuff to empty rooms to shower. (Why they couldn't just switch our room...I am not sure.) They had about 4 empty rooms. Our rating would be a 4 if it wasn't for this.

Review 5:The location is perfect! It is right in the Medina but also close to the main road. Breakfast was wonderful.

Review 6:We spent four days there and we stood in two rooms. Everything was ok except for the toilet of each room: the smell of the toilet (from the sewer).

Review 7:We liked the rooms the view and the position of the hotel.

Review 8:slighty noisy (due to bad windows)

Review 9:a lot easier to find than other places to stay in the medina room is small but the space is used very efficiently

Review 10:-You can turn on the air conditioner, but you can't control it. Set at 24C only, and it shuts off once it gets to 24C until it warms up to 27C. Cannot change the settings. With the way it is positioned over the bed, it gets either too cold or too hot at night. Did not have one good night's sleep. -The shower only has a few minutes of hot water. -The staff wasn't unfriendly, but not friendly either. -Wifi was slow

Review 11:-Economical -Bed was comfortable enough -Very good location -Breakfast was tasty

Review 12:Great location, very friendly staff, amazing room (though a bit cramped, but totally understandable), very helpful tips on how to get to akshour etc. We loved this place so much we booked an extra two nights.

Review 13:Nice small hotel, located in a historic building, a short walk to the main square. Small rooms, decorated in a Moroccan style, very climatic. On the opposite side of the street guarded parking.

Review 14:Nothing

Review 15:This is a quirky place that you won't ever forget. Omar is someone that touches your heart. The whole experience was wonderful and one day I will be back.

Review 16:Wifi was good but sometimes went down, hot water was also a bit hit and miss

Review 17:I stayed in three rooms, all were adequate but the big room on the first floor was really good. I got upgraded to it for the same price as smaller room. It's about 3 times the size of the smaller rooms with decent sofas, tables, desk etc, so try to get that if you can

Review 18:Everything was great. Location, breakfast, room, view from the terrace. Very charming place. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Chef.

Review 19:That we had to leave !

Review 20:Bouchera is a wonderful, young woman who runs the hotel in the day, she is very helpful, thoughtful and kind. The Zman is in the best location for kasbah and medina. The rooms are decorated well and with nice amenities, ie: fridge, shampoo. The breakfast on the top floor terrace is fantastic..love those Moroccan pancakes.

Review 21:It rained all day our second day, and the room and everything in it felt damp, no drying facilities (even for the Dar towels, which were hung over the staircase!). Margarine with breakfast, and never any eggs.

Review 22:Staff were friendly & welcoming, room was small but comfortable, fridge in room, breakfast good with lovely fresh squeezed orange juice, location great (close to secure parking and less than 10 minutes walk to main square), all in all a great value for money place, and we'd definitely come back.

Review 23:bathroom is very tiny but i am fine. i just spent 10mins there on shower time.

Review 24:it is near the main street and Kasbah. Easy to find it and access to view points.

Review 25:Room was small a bit

Review 26:Great location close to the entry to Medina. Friendly staff, nice breakfast. Traditional moroccan interiors.

Review 27:The staff were great. So helpful

Review 28:Breakfast poor and minimal. Shower tiny even for 5ft4 female.

Review 29:Well decorated. Good location. Helpful staff.

Review 30:Smoking at breakfast area allowed

Review 31:Helpful staff good location value for money

Review 32:Broken shower head holder.

Review 33:Accessible by taxi and only 5 minute walk to main plaza. Excellent wifi throughout. Great view from the terrace.

Review 34:Tiny bathroom and rubbish plumbing

Review 35:Location although rather difficult to find

Review 36:Staff are very good, location is very good to the main square and walking the town.

Review 37:Bit pricey for what you get

Review 38:Staff was very Nice and the location was also great!

Review 39:it's not possible to pay by a card

Review 40:nice people and stuff in the hotel, perfect location, easy to find

Review 41:Could have been a bit cheaper

Review 42:Clean, well located, good service

Review 43:very small room but for 1 night good enough, poor breakfast, no hot water available in the morning

Review 44:internet for free, good location

Review 45:WiFi access is limited - this is not assisted by the receptionist taking all the bandwidth to livestream football and to surf the web constanrtly.

Review 46:This is a gorgeous little hotel right on the edge of the medina. Hence it provides great access to all the sights of Chefchaouen. The rooms are tiny but very quaint and provide everything a budget traveller needs. It's beautifully decorated and staying there is like a fairy tale.

Review 47:Noisy, dirty, cats urinating and poohing outside the front door, gangs of youths kicking footballs against the hotel wall until 5am every night/morning ,smelly, toilet did not flush, shower did not work properly!

Review 48:Nothing, horrible place, very dirty, very scary, not nice at all!

Review 49:A minor inconvenience of the twin rooms that were shared we're that theywere al little small. There wasn't much room to move. The main issue at Darzman was that our shower only had a single trickle of water coming out of it rather than a spray. Often there was no hot water.

Review 50:The Darzman was very well located on the edge of the medina. It was easyto walk to everything. It was also quiet. It was nicely decorated andthe artifacts around the places added to the charm. It was a bonus having a fridge- it kept our drinks nice and cold. One of the staff very kindly found us a power board so we could plug in all our chargers.

Review 51:The shower head bracket was loose and difficult to direct the spray on to your body. There was a awful smell coming from the bathroom possibly the drain. It was shocking and marred an otherwise enjoyable stay

Review 52:Location was good close to the medina and Kazbah. WiFi worked well

Review 53:Staff was really nice

Review 54:Decoration details
