Review 1：First, the owner Maria is very friendly and helpful! The room is comfortable and clean. There is a good selection of TV stations. The breakfast has a good variety of food and everything is fresh! The location is excellent.
Review 2：- 5 min to Botata Beach - a very small touristic one. So you have to go 30 min to the Meia Beach. - no staff-security at nights. - in the discription of the Hotel the shuttle service to the Faro airport was explicit mentioned. There was just public bus two times a day!
Review 3：Very clean room. I had a room black: big enough, very quite (because to small courtyard) with kettle in the room. There was everything in the room, that I needed: even a small clothes line for the beach towel.The kitchen on ground-floor could be also used.
Review 4：Only two small notices, just missing to be perfect: if there is a hanger in the bathroom, it would be more comfortable. And the blankets were a bit rigid, that is not too cosy if you travel in cooler weather.
Review 5：It was a clean and comfortable room, near the beaches and the centre as well, but in a quiet little street. Mary was a friendly and helpful host and she prepared a perfect breakfast with salty and sweet bakeries and different type of fruits. I would absultely recommend! (P.S. Mary has wonderful mirrors, they show you really tall and slim :))
Review 6：We were not told of the breakfast time which is 9 to 11 am. We missed breakfast one day as we had to catch the bus in the morning and were surprised to find the breakfast room empty at 8 am. The facility is not staffed all the time to answer any emergent questions or provide immediate help. You may have to wait on the street before checking-in if you did not provide accurate arrival time. Mediocre breakfast. Location hard to find. Hotel sign not very obvious.
Review 7：Big, comfortable room. We had the purple room which has a balcony with a little bit of sea view. It very relaxing to sit there after sunset.
Review 8：The ventilation in the bathroom was not optimal, but that was no problem because you can open the balcony doors. The Wifi worked perfectly up to a certain point and then again after restart of the router. ;-)
Review 9：The purple room has sun in the morning and you get a glance at the sea, which I liked a lot. Maria made me feel at home, and even though I didn't need her "emergency phone service", it was a great feeling that she would be available if need be. She assisted me promptly and in her lovely way with every request I had - I definitely recommend to be her guest!

Review 13：We stayed in the purple room, it was very large and nicely equipped with a refrigerator, coffee maker, teas. Room was also sound proof with a black out shade. There was a great view of the city and ocean from our terrace which was a great surprise. Everything is walking distance from room.

Review 20：Even though our room was at the back of the building, we really struggled to sleep with the room's window open as party animals getting drunk at nearby pubs were screaming and shouting until the early morning. Using the shower was a nightmare, as there is no soap dish, the shower holder was broken and no shower gel or shampoo was provided after the first night (we had to use our own soap and shampoo!). Every evening a horrible smell came out of the toilet from the sewage system, forcing us to close the bathroom's door and use the bathroom only for emergencies, as the smell was unbearable. We found ants running around in the bathroom and on the breakfast table. Breakfast could be improved with more fresh food and less processed and packaged stuff that was clearly bought from the local branch of a German discounter.
Review 21：Maria is a knowledgeable and helpful host, she gave us good tips and booked a guided tour for us. The furniture is brand new, the rooms are spacious and clean. The location is excellent, close to bars and restaurants as well as some of the best beaches in Lagos. Tea and coffee making facilities and a big bottle of water are always available in the room.
Review 22：Everything, really - the owner Maria was extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. the place itself is beautiful and the room size was generous and the location is central but still quiet enough. Excellent wifi at all times and free car parking close by. Comprehensive breakfast served with loads of charm.

Maria and her husband made our stay extremely comfortable and served a sumptuous breakfast each morning. Room was very new and clean, with each room having a different colour theme.

The bathroom was quite large and had a bath and a bidet. Every morning the hostess Maria served a luxurious breakfast. We had bicycles at our disposal and Maria (and her husband) literally went out of her way to help us. The location is very good, Merry's guesthouse is in the middle of the historical centre of Lagos and close to the beach.
