Reviews for Conde de Lemos Hotel
Review 1:While the park was nice to look over during the day, it appears to be a local drinking spot and congregation spot, so it was a little noisy into the early hours of the morning.
Review 2:Great location, nice clean facilities and large spacious rooms. Is centrally located and overlooks a nice park and church. Breakfast was also good and staff were very friendly.
Review 3:big drawback was the balcony with corrugated roof and with the heavy rain it made a lot of noise. oh and it was leaking a bit...
Review 4:good wifi. charming staff. decent breakfast. location overlooking the cathedral is fantastic.
Review 5:WIFI was intermittent and extremely slow. The restaurant we went to - La Casona - had far superior WIFI, we were able to upload photos in about 15 sec there, but not at all - not even 1! - at the hotel
Review 6:The location was very good, close to restaurants and the main square. The room was very spacious with a small lounge and the toilet and shower were in separate rooms and each had a basin.
Review 7:We were trying to get some information about taking a boat to uros island and the receptionist just kepy trying to sell us a tour.
Review 8:The staff went out of their way to get us a bath plug so we could take a bath.
Review 9:We had a room on a 6th floor and had problems with water... Every time we needed to flush the toilet we had to call the front so they increase the water pressure..
Review 10:Great location by Plaza de Armaz, could get little noisy from the square.
Review 11:Desk staff pleasant, stored our luggage for 3 days, it was in our room when we returned. Don't recommend the dining room at night but the breakfast was just fine. Would stay again.
Review 12:Noise outside, bathroom ventilation, hot shower would take a while to be hot, bathtub for shower not the best idea. Thin walls when other guests were coming back I could clearly hear their over enthusiastic conversations in the middle of the night. Also wifi was not very reliable, it was on and off all the time when I stayed there and I was there for two nights.
Review 13:Location, very kind staff at the hotel who were always ready to help, heater in a room in case of cold and it was cold, thick blankets to keep me warm at night. Availability of tea for the room as much as you want. Access to. Very good restaurant, their trout was a bingo.
Review 14:Shower never got hot! And the hotel is nice looking, but starting to show its age (peeling paint, cracked windows, etc)
Review 15:Great location right by the central plaza. But the lake is why people come here, and it is not close to the lake. Staff was helpful, and helped us set up our taxi to our lake visit and our return bus to the airport. They also stored our luggage overnight while we were on the lake, for free.
Review 16:The room is nothing special, the bathroom in particular.
Review 17:The location. From the room you can see the cathedral. Everything is walking distance. Good breakfast.
Review 18:Very clean and good breakfast buffet with many chioces. Location is not too far from the main square. Like 5 to 10 minute walk depending on where your going. Good hotel and helpful staff.
Review 19:Their laundry service is very very expensive and not very good. We paid 3 times the price we paid in other hotels (per kilo) and the cloths were not very clean and smell weirdly.
Review 20:Very helpful and friendly staff with very good English. Bed very comfortable. Great location close to the Plaza de Armas, lots of restaurants and shops.
Review 21:Friendly and helpful staff. Great location at the main square. Great variety of breakfast and hot shower. The room was spacious with great balcony view of the square.
Review 22:It was a little bit noisy since the plaza has quite a bit of traffic and the wifi was a bit slow.
Review 23:Excellent location close to the plaza de armas and several central attractions in Puno. Staff members were incredibly helpful and they arranged pickup for us from Juliaca airport. They always made sure we were taken care of. The view from the hotel was beautiful. Great value!
Review 24:We arrived to a dirty room, stains on the floor and bed, so we went back to the reception and got a different room, which wasn't much better, but decided to stay since it was already late. Wouldn't recogment this place!
Review 25:Breakfast was nice!
Review 26:There was only one hair dryer for whole customers.
Review 27:It was the most satisfied hotel on my journey this time. It has excellent location, and with nice view, helpful staffs.
Review 28:Safety deposit box and complementary tea at the reception instead of in the rooms, broken hair dryers, the staff could be more helpful (but they're always polite)
Review 29:Very central location, view of the cathedral from the room, specious room, nice breakfast served already from 6 am
Review 30:Puno is overall a gritty, ugly town, which makes the Conde de Lemos a valuable oasis.
Review 31:Great location a half-block from the Plaza de Armas. Friendly helpful staff eager to please.
Review 32:They could not charge the room with the card on file, and I had toprovide a card for them to charge or pay cash.
Review 33:The staff was very helpful. They held our bags and allowed us to stay ina comfortable lobby while we waited for our room (we got there at 5:30am). They were always answering the phone and gave us the bestsuggestion on a restaurant we had through our entire trip in Peru (LaChoza del Oscar).
Review 34:Nothing to complain about.
Review 35:The reception staff spoke good English and couldn't do enough to help, especially Karin who was so kind and friendly to us. She made us feel at home. Our room was large and had an attached glassed-in balcony and comfortable lounge. The hotel is well located to the side of the Cathedral, just off the Plaza de Armas. Breakfast was reasonable for Peru - bread, ham, cheese, juice, coffee. Our room was heated in winter, perhaps a little too well! We had to ask reception to send someone up to adjust it down!
Review 36:The hotel common spaces are due for a makeover
Review 37:Central location close to Lima Street and the Plaza Major; the staff was extraordinarily friendly and competent; bathrooms as good as I have seen in Peru in a hotel of that class
Review 38:The internet only worked in the common area on the second floor which was not overly inconvenient as there were couches. But would have been nice to have in our rooms.
Review 39:Staff was friendly and carried our bags since the elevator was broken. Room had heaters which was so wonderful to keep us warm. Breakfast was good and offered lots of options.
Review 40:Some what worm out interior, would not hurt to freshen up a bit, especially the restaurant part.
Review 41:Superb location in central Puno. The most helpful and attentive staff (reception) during our 3weeks travel in Peru! They spoke good English and were most informative suggesting options for travel (taxi) without even asking. That's service!
Review 42:everything was great!
Review 43:Great hotel, excellent value for money. Staff was great, it is centrally located with reliable wifi. Clean, plenty of hot water and good breakfast. Recommended!
Review 44:Some staff members were not too comfortable with speaking English. The bathroom wasn't too clean and we didn't have warm water at the beginning.
Review 45:Very nice location: right next to the Cathedral and close to bars and restaurants. Our room was overlooking the church, which was very nice. Rich and abundant breakfast.
Review 46:The walls are very thin so we could hear everyone in the rooms either side and below, but everything went quiet after 11pm so it wasn't too much of a problem.
Review 47:Nice hotel, can't really say much about it as we were stuck in bed with altitude sickness but staff were very helpful and understood so made sure we had tea.
Review 48:The location was great, over looking a small park, close to the main plaza and to plenty of restaurants. In the old part of town, plenty of interesting locations to look at and explore.
Review 49:Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The room was at the top floor, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the main square. Hotel has an elevator. Great hot and clean shower. We arranged our lake tour through the front desk. Breakfast starts early enough to catch it prior to tours departure times.
Review 50:so so so loud Barely hot water Staff that aren't in any way attentive and don't really want to be there. Too expensive for what it is / once upon a time this plaeay have been ok now it's crumbling round all the edges
Review 51:It's in a great spot near/on the plaza armas Big breakfast selection
Review 52:The two triples on the fifth floor must have been forgotten. The bedding was old, no shower curtains. It looked run down. Some of the beds were uncomfortable.
Review 53:The looks of the hotel outside. The breakfast room had a great view and good breakfast. The remodeled double was very nice with a nice sitting area. The staff were very nice and location excellent.
Review 54:Couldn't block early morning light from the sky-light. Street noise in the early hours of the morning.
Review 55:Location Big room with extra sitting area and balcony. Staff. View from our upper storey room.
Review 56:WiFi dropped out regularly We booked at short notice and had a room on the south side of the hotel which became very bright early in the morning at sun rise.
Review 57:The location on the main square is the highlight of staying at Conde de Lemos. Be sure to ask for a room overlooking the square. The hotel is dated but very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was tasty. The staff were really excellent, very friendly and helpful in providing local knowledge, booking tours and helping with general enquires. They made our stay in Puno much more smooth and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Hotel de Lemos for a stay in Puno.
Review 58:There was a live band outside which was nice but they carried on playing up until midnight. Not the hotels problem but the noise was pretty loud which made it difficult to sleep.
Review 59:The location of Conde de Lemos is perfect, just a short walk to the main area. The staff were really friendly and professional.
Review 60:- Windows not soundproof - In the night a bit cold but heater available in the room
Review 61:- Location in the center - Size of the apartment - room, terrace, bathroom, toilet and something like small living room - View - cathedral, hills and lake - Self service tea stand next to the reception - Breakfast
Review 62:The staff were very helpful especially when I needed to get some oxygen for my friend who had altitude sickness. The location was good and near to the centre of Puno.
Review 63:Cold industrial feel, nothing to inviting about it
Review 64:Close to the center of the town, breakfast was good, service good as well. For US standards it was fine.personally I would of picked Hotel next door Plaza de Armas on the main plaza.
Review 65:Sometimes, the room was a little hot, we didn't figure out the heating Outdated, but great value for money
Review 66:Nice hot water Warm rooms Great breakfast selection Room service good
Review 67:Restaurant - cold (no heat), slow service, did not have many items on the menu. Electrical plug would not support both a CPAP and the electric heater. Shower drained too slowly. Hotel was a bit worn. Charged for a day we did not stay there.
Review 68:Location Helpful Staff Nice view.

Review 74:Just the expectable iffiness of the wi-fi connection sometimes .
