Review 1：Breakfast doesn't start until 7:30am.

Review 2：Great Japanese breakfast, excellent restaurant staff Private bath Outdoor bath Super-hepful Gaijin-friendly Frequent free shuttle buses stop right outside the front door and take you to Gala, NASPA, Naeba, Kagura, Jomo, and a half dozen other places I'd never heard of. Superb pizza just across the road in the station building

Review 5：From the moment we arrived, we enjoyed wonderful hospitality. Tea and a sweet in the lobby while the front desk prepared our paperwork was a really nice touch. The room was traditional and very clean and quiet. The restaurant was terrific -- wished we had ordered the dinner, because the breakfast was outstanding. Conveniently located a block away from the train station.

Review 6：Located just one minute from Echigo-Yuzawa station, this is a first class experience from start to finish. A cut above anywhere I have stayed in Japan (I am more a budget traveller) and the price was very reasonable. Only stayed one night as a kicking off point for exploring the region. Next time I will just stay here and shuttle to the ski fields. Included Japanese breakfast was a bonus.

Great location across the road from the station so easy carting our gear to and from hotel. access to all the ski fields as buses and shuttles pick up from front of hotel.

Review 13：As an English speaking visitor to Japan our stay at Hatago Isen was enhanced by having staff who spoke very good English. The location is very close to the station and the ryokan was very comfortable, the room was large and the meals were excellent.

Review 15：Lovely ryokan with large rooms and a great onsen on the top floor. Right opposite Echigo Yuzawa station and perfect spot to stay whilst skiing in Yuzawa Gala. Included free breakfast. Beautiful traditional place to stay

Review 16：The hotel is right in front of the echigo yuzawa station, very convenient. Guest service quite warm, the hot spring public bath(men and women separated) is clean and well equipped. As for the room, we stayed at the room "Kai", it is spacious, traditional Japanese atmosphere, with modern equipment. The breakfast was one of the best on my trip. Two styles to choose, both western and Japanese are very delicious. Don't forget to wear the kimono provided by the hotel to go to the public bath and the breakfast! Hope you enjoy as I did!
