Review 1：Some of the landscaping ( the driving range in particular ) need serious attention.

Review 2：The peace and quiet. The comfort of the rooms. The friendly staff. The gymnasium.

Review 3：Lack of attention to detail from staff - pool edges were gravel which hurt your feet!, poor gardens, breakfast quality was poor, issues with tv -all these problems were finally addressed by the hotel and we were told that staff training was being carried out during shut period in November to bring it up to 5 Star standards.

Review 9：Bed in the room was not a double but two small singles pushed together. The bed linen and covers were for small single beds and didn't adequately cover the bed. Area surrounded by derelict building sites.

Review 11：No cushions on the pool loungers as advertised in all their web site pictures. They have been removed from last year. When you come for a week of poolside sitting, cushions -as sold on the nearby beach - are a must have.

Review 13：Service at the breakfast buffet was very uneven. There seemed to be no system to the service. Sometimes you were noticed and attended to and sometimes completely ignored? I expected not to feel like herded cattle which is typical of a larger resort. Make a reservation for an outdoor table because they seemed to get all the service staff.

Review 14：Excellent location: quiet setting with a beautiful view of the sea from the hotel and the main pool. Front desk staff was friendly and very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and beaches and even provided umbrellas and towels. Rooms are very comfortable and clean!

Review 20：Resort facilities are excellent. short walk to great beach. Room was excellent, with sunbeds on terrace facing the pool. It was a special occcasion for us and we received a fruit basket and a bottle of champaigne when we finally got to our room.

If you are stressed and want to go and take a shower in your room this might be a problem but I can not reduce the score for only this... Yes, and its two beds and now a large double. However we put them together and they stayed together all the time... First time I have experienced this, maybe we were just too soft.

Review 25：The trip was for my wife's birthday. I wanted to treat her with all the spa amenities but they closed it the whole week we were there due to technical reasons. We couldn't even workout. We were very disappointed they didn't contact us ahead of time so we could make other plans. We asked to speak a manager about the closed spa but were told someone would contact us or revise our bill. No credit was applied nor did anyone contact us. Very disappointing birthday for my wife.

Review 28：Resort was beautiful, well maintained and the staff was friendly. The food was good in both restaurants and the bar area. The hotel lost power in a thunderstorm over a weekend but the apartments had power so the staff just moved everyone over to apartments. Loved it!

Review 33：Too far from Lagos city centre to walk, need a car if you want to have dinner in Lagos. Vast hotel area, no small shops or cafes nearby.

Review 35：The hotel just didn't reach a 5 star standard. The breakfast buffet was understaffed, and maybe 50% of the time we would be offered coffee or tea before leaving. It was disappointing that the resort is fenced in. It does greatly increase the time to reach the beaches east of the resort. The rooms were cleaned very late in the day, which means relaxing on the balcony in the room isn't really practical.

Review 36：We liked being close to the cliff walk and the beaches. (It took about 30 minutes to walk into Lagos, an easy walk along the main road.) The room was large and spacious.

Review 37：Resort completely understaffed. One waiter for the whole resort's pool. Rude waiters at breakfast (i.e. 'I'll get your cutlery when I get a minute" then never comes back). Spa closed with no prior notice. Kids and shouting at all 3 pools (including the closed spa's pool). Ants in the room + issue not reported to the manager. Gym nowhere to be found, almost in an abandoned building. Tennis overpriced: EUR15/hour ex-rackets and balls! 3-hour wait before the manager came in to hear our complaints. Golf course dry and not maintained. Overall a horrific experience. All we got was a 10% discount which clearly isn't enough to reduce the disappointment of paying EUR280/night for such an overpriced hotel. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED.

Review 38：The beach nearby (but you don't need to go to the hotel to go there). Food was nice.

Review 39：Being put in a suite very far away from reception - with view from Balcony over a road (sea-view we paid for obscured by trees planted by the hotel directly in from of the balcony). They forgot to bring our breakfast on the day we checked out - even though we asked at reception the night before and we hung the order out before 9pm. No refund offered on our charge which was inclusive of breakfast.

Review 91：Six days of broken AC is not acceptable for a hotel of this level. Even the nicest bottle of wine cannot change this fact. 23 C at night and a high humidity makes sleep a lot more difficult. Som kind of economic compensation could have been offered. The grounds are well kept, but maybe an electric lawn mower could have been used next to the pool area. If you leave the hotel area and just walk a few metres on the path either to the light house or take the crumbling dangerous steps down to the closest beach you will see lots of rubbish and dogs' droppings First rate establishments should lead the way when it comes to sustainability issues. Solar panels would improve the image a lot - there is ample space. The pool is not ideal for lap swimming and if another pool were to be added then a solar heated 25 m lap pool would be ideal.

Review 92：The design/architecture is very nice as is the interior of the rooms - tasteful. The staff speaks excellent English, is very friendly and helpful. The complimentary portugese lesson was an extra bonus. The gym staff were also very helpful making individual training programmes upon request, almost as having your own PT. The ambience is very relaxed, it is mostly very quiet and the resort has the potential for a perfect hassle free holiday.

Review 93：The air conditioning did not work for our entire stay. Made sleeping very uncomfortable and weren't offered anything other than a 'sorry it's broken' note. The bed was quite uncomfortable as well. The restaurants, while nice, have a fairly limited selection.

A special mention to the bartender at thebar in the hotel - he made us exceptional drinks, especially the oneswithout alcohol which my husband absolutely loved. The room service tookvery little time to deliver the food. There were many, many sportactivities to do. We tried golf and table tennis and really loved it.Thedistance to the Old City of Lagos was just 10 mins and around 8 euros bycab. All in all, we had a very good experience here.
