Reviews for Picton TOP 10 Holiday Park

Review 1:Great location, clean and tidy standard cottages with small citchenette.has everything to explore the milford sound even with a baby. We would always come back

Review 2:staff more welcoming..didnt even get a thanks or goodbye when handing in key (encountered 1 or 2 lovely staff though, others just ignored you) cabins over priced

Review 3:location very good

Review 4:Facilities were standard campsite affair. It was fully booked when we were there, so shared facilities were busy, but acceptable.

Review 5:Close to town. Free NY BBQ. Staff were friendly & helpful.

Review 6:Nothing

Review 7:Had fab stay. staff were super friendly location was great cabins were comfortable. Toilets n showers were spotlessly clean even had a pool n spa would definitely recommend

Review 8:very helpful, friendly staff Handy to town. very clean , self contained cabin. I had car and trailer. Staff helped to find suitable location to park both.

Review 9:No light milk available for diabetic elderly mother - only long life when asked from unfriendly woman. Lack of comfort in lounge; especially for TV viewing. No couch or easy seating chairs - just a dining suite in kitchen and single bed in lounge.

Review 10:The price is right and we loved being able to just stroll along the marina and a short way toward the snout in the early evening. cooking facilities were quite adequate and the bed was comfortable.

Review 11:Having to get up in the morning to catch the first ferry out. Not the holiday parks fault.

Review 12:The ambience was lovely people were arriving back from dinner in the township, on their decks having a quiet drink... people were enjoying themselves

Review 13:Having never stayed at Top 10 before, we were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable accommodation, which exceeded our expectations. Having daily room service was an added bonus, and the friendly, helpful staff added to our enjoyment.

Review 14:$80 a night for a port a com with no running water, TV and poor ventilation is a rip off. Noisey children playing on trampoline with adults until late at night next to hovel we slept in annoyed many other hovel dwellers as well as ourselves. Top ten is a very over rated and expensive place to stay anywhere in NZ. It is NOT economy accomadation.

Review 15:Location

Review 16:No toilet in cabin but not that big an issue. I also thought that the wifi should have been free.

Review 17:Relaxed friendly atmosphere and relatively quiet. The facility is well maitained and so handy to the wharf and tour opperators.

Review 18:It was just on the edge of town and within easy walking distance from town and the ferry. Facilities are great for a family as well as just adults. Kitchen is huge with plenty of places to sit and eat. Play area and swimming pool is great and plenty of space. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. I would definitely go there again - without a doubt!

Review 19:* We were not impressed that the fee for our stay was taken out before we actually booked in! We wished to use a different credit card to pay, and had decided to stay only one night, so there was a bit of fuss to refund the other night's fee even though your company stressed that all c/c numbers are for confirmation of booking only. It didn't work this time. *Smokers next door too close to our entry. Smoke entered our room.

Review 20:attractive short walk to get to city centre

Review 21:A little smaller than hoped. But was only for a night so that was fine.

Review 22:Beds were ready, close to shared toilets. Glad we could get somewhere that could accommodate our size family without having to get two separate units, but was a little snug. (But did book at last minute)

Review 23:Only thing I didn't like was the spa was out of order. STAFF couldn't really help that.

Review 24:The kitchen is well stocked with utensils. The kids play area is awesome along with the pool. The family bathroom is very nice. Staff are super helpful and friendly

Review 25:Was looking forward to a cuppa after a long journey, there was three of us had one tea bag each and a small carton of milk would be better than those little milk things.

Review 26:Nice and clean good location friendly staff.

Review 27:There wasn't any saucepans at all, no masher or big spoons etc.

Review 28:Lovely staff, nice small facilities that the children were happy with and a good location.

Review 29:I felt that the advertisement for this unit, which was called a bungalow was misleading. The accommodation was a tiny studio unit, totally unsuitable for 5 people as there was inadequate ventilation for night time. A most uncomfortable 2 nights.

Review 30:Really clean, great location, good facilities for kids.

Review 31:A bit cold in the night

Review 32:The location is very convenient.

Review 46:Very easy to find from ferry. Clean and comfortable bed

Review 47:Large house excellent value for money, nice clean park, great pool and games/playground for the kids. Nice location great view of the marina.

Review 51:walk to toilet...

Review 52:easy, helpful, no hassle

Review 53:Too small to eat inside. Single beds.

Review 72:WiFi - which I paid for - not good, until early hours of morning!

Review 73:Great staff, right by marina.

Review 74:Lock on door didn't work, but hadn't been reported

Review 75:Turned up without bedding given clean & comfortable duvet & towels for only $5(NZ)

Review 76:Easy walk into town

Review 77:Not having an Ensuite

Review 78:Clean and tidy rooms but too expensive for solo travelers - not good value for money. Amenities block was immaculate.

Review 79:Very low toilets. Would have liked a handrail as two of us were of the elder generation and had difficulty getting off the toilet.

Review 90:Loved the stay. Excellent all round:) Very nice spa.

Review 91:Friendly straff, good location, very nice studio unit.

Review 92:Exactly what we booked; the staff were very helpful.

Review 93:They went the extra mile when we realised we had put the wrong date in for our booking

Review 94:Road noise

Review 95:Friendly staff, very high standard of cleanliness. Overall a good facility and close to town center.

Review 96:Close proximity to town centre, individual cabin and very helpful staff.

Review 97:lack of cutlery in kitchen

Review 98:cleanliness, friendliness

Review 99:As our ferry was delayed with poor weather conditions (and did not get in until 4.30 in the morning) the staff left instructions on where our cabin was on the door of the office. The bed was made up and it was a huge relief to be in it after a long day. Thank-you to the staff for this. They also helped us find out about road conditions and which roads were open.

Review 100:We were surprised how comfortable the accommodation was as we normally don't stay at Holiday Parks. The kitchen facilities were great and everyone very friendly.

Review 101:Reception on arrival - evn though was late and she was tired, still a poor welcome. Thought the extra charge for blankets was a poor idea.

Review 102:Excellent ablution block - the cleanest I've seen in a whilst.

Review 103:Our cabin was spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. On arrival we were immediately given directions for walking into Picton and were delighted to discover what a short distance it was - great location. While there we had a swim in the pool and used the laundry facilities which were both well maintained and clean. Usually we stay in Motels but Picton Top10 was our favourite accommodation this trip - to all the staff, thank you and well done!

Review 104:Only used this as a quick overnight stop after getting off the ferry from Wellington. Great place to stay - comfy beds, clean toilet and shower facilities, easy walking distance to Picton centre.

Review 105:Getting a bit expensive now. Previous stays more reasonable.

Review 106:Excellent location. Easy walk to the marina and town. Good facilities for all types of travelers. Very clean and great staff.

Review 107:The internet is not working inside the unit. It is not as promised in the hotel description. We found out that it is because they have not tested the availability of the signal inside - only outside.

Review 108:The beds, the room and the kichenette were fine - and clean. It is placed a bit outsite Picton but that suited us fine.

Review 109:We had a stand alone unit, which was separated from other units, so nice and quiet. Good parking in front, they have late check in and overall great facilities available. Friendly reception.

Review 110:ANTS!!!! They were over all my bags :( Ordered a double bed and got bunk beds! Not great, but it was a busy weekend in Picton. Just wish i'd known.

Review 111:Warm cabin, nice and clean, close to town

Review 112:The only thing we found were the lights were quite bright at night and when the drapes were drawn your room was quite light but that is small price to pay when the rest of the camp was so nice

Review 113:The staff were extremely helpful, our room was comfortable tidy and very clean as were the toilets and shower blocks the whole place was very clean and tidy nicest top ten that we have stayed in and the bed was amazing

Review 114:The extra 5 people who arrived at 2am next door. They were extremelynoisy continually walking heavily backwards and forwards along thewooden deck outside our unit taking in their bedding etc. the continuousshowers and toilet flushing from 2.30am while they settled in. Someonemay have been sleeping in car, don't know but they paced all throughthe night until they left at 7.30am. No sleep. Was had by us or our twofriends were were also in our unit. Office new the people were havingextras for "breakfast" but not to stay through the night. Igave office their car registration number and they were going to checkup with them as they had not paid.

Review 115:Modern unit.
