Reviews for Eco Inn Puno
Review 1:Pretentious restaurant is grossly overpriced. Pay taxi 10 to 14 soles and go 15 minutes into town to get equal or better food.
Review 2:Quiet, spacious, well-designed rooms with good WiFi and hot water, heater available. View of reed beds and Uro islands in distance from room. Staff was helpful. Included full breakfast.
Review 3:In the room there were two big tween beds rather than a king so I could not sleep with my husband. Despite the rate per night, there was no fridge in the room and it was not possible to open the windows even if we were ground floor. The hotel was very noise in the early morning ( like at 7am). No gym in the structure ...
Review 4:The room was very clean. Beds was actually very comfortable. The view on the lake was amazing. Coca tea free all day long and a very rich buffet for breakfast!!
Review 5:Corridors can be noisy if tour groups depart early.
Review 6:Extremely comfortable room with good views, lots of space, wonderful bathroom. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The gardens made a nice addition. Breakfast was varied and ample. Lovely quiet and peaceful location with nice walks and an easy collectivo ride to town. Open fireplace and tea is very welcoming.
Review 7:It was the second time we were in Puno. The first time we stayed in a not so good hotel downtown Puno. This time we choose the Eco Inn because it was a little outside the center. What a surprise! The reception was friendly, the rooms extremely comfortable, the restaurant had great food, and when one of us had some trouble breathing because of the altitude he was immediately given 15 minutes of oxygene for free. All the people working there were friendly and efficient. The surroundings were quiet and there was no noise to disturb our sleep. We highly recommend the Eco Inn
Review 8:Nothing
Review 9:Big rooms, quite and very clean. Room had details I havent found in other hotels: nice towels, big beds, nice comforters, hot water and wit lots of pressure. Great staff, helpful and friendly. Good breakfast. I would come back!
Review 10:Dinner in restaurant was a bit disappointing. If you like your meat less than well-cooked make sure the waitress understands. Avoid the live band nights unless you enjoy having you ears blasted. Early morning departures can be noisy when people wheel their bags along the tiled corridors.
Review 11:Spacious, comfortable rooms, with view of lake. Friendly staff, good buffet breakfast. Nice gardens with herd of alpacas. Short taxi ride into town.
Review 12:Outside of the city center- taxi prices varied from 10-15 soles, not near anything
Review 13:Very clean and comfortable hotel Great restaurant for dinner Helpful staff arranged tours
Review 14:nothing.
Review 15:location.
Review 16:1. Wifi is very weak. You can only use it in the reception area. 2. Breakfast is very uninspiring. The meals served by the restaurant at lunch and dinner are wonderful so breakfast could easily be improved.
Review 17:Cleaning staff waking up very early making noise. But i already told this to the management and they promised that it wont happen again.
Review 18:I highly recommend Eco Inn if you're looking for a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced Hotel in Puno. It's 5-7 minutes drive to city center. If you take a taxi, you pay 8 soles and by minibus it's only 1.5 soles. The location is very convenient. Most of the rooms overlook the lake and also spacious and light. The restaurant is excellent serving Peruvian dishes as well as international cuisine. The service is always very fast and they try to do the best they can in a friendly approach.
Review 19:The reception staff is very friendly, but I would ask for confirmation in writing if you book another night, as we were assured that booking was made, but found on returning to the hotel that it hadn't. The hotel is out of town (which may also be viewed as a positive in the case of Puno) and a taxi ride to town/bus station is 10 soles (£2).
Review 20:Eco Inn was one of the most comfortable hotels we stayed at during our two weeks' holiday in Peru. If you stay in Puno for a short time I would advise to eat in the hotel restaurant as it serves food far better then you can possibly find in town. You can see the food being prepared in an open kitchen and the dishes look impressive and taste great. Breakfast was also the best we had in Peru. We went on an early lake trip organised by Casa Andina which is nearby and it was an excellent location to stay at for us. Having also stayed in one of the Casa Andina hotels on our trip, we found this hotel to be much better value for money whilst offering similar comfort and having more genuine staff. We stayed in two different rooms on two different occasions, one of them (double room with a lake view) was slightly better than the other one. The hotel offers a storage facility free of charge.
Review 21:-breakfast offerings not the best -wireless internet does not reach all parts of the room - signal goes in and out
Review 22:-great location on the lake, a cheap cab ride from the city -friendly, helpful staff -clean rooms in good condition -great value for money
Review 23:Staff not helpful we could not check out the night before we left even though we were leaving early, it is not an Eco friendly hotel I don't know how it calls itself that. Walls thin and could hear neighbours having sex, claimed they could arrange taxi's for 8 sole but the hotel taxi always charged 10
Review 24:The view was amazing , good breakfast
Review 25:Very pleasant setting on the lake and comfortable clean rooms with extra large beds. Staff particularly helpful when my husband became ill and could only eat a restricted diet. Would definitely recommend it.
Review 26:The EcoInn was just across the street from Lake Titicaca. There was abeautiful garden on-site as well as llamas, sheep and guinea pigs. Thebreakfast buffet was delicious and offered a wide variety of differentoptions. They began serving at 6 am which was nice since we were headingout for an early morning tour. The staff was always helpful. Theyprovided oxygen if needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
Review 27:Great value for money. Particularly suitable for those who are looking for a quiet environment.
Review 28:Everything was great!!! A wonderful breakfast and all staff really friendly!!!
Review 29:Loved the location and the wonderful facilities.
