Review 1：Rooms are not noise insulated which is a big issue for me. Therefore, although I really liked the hotel, I will not return there again.

Review 9：Room was dark. Food was poor. It was buffet style in the restaurant. The entertainment when we stayed was poor not enjoyable. Think this accommodation is for more mature couples from the age profile 50 plus. Location is a distance from centre. We had a car.

Review 23：Booking.com and villa gale had a mix up with our booking. We booked for full board but villa gale received confirmation that it was b&b. I had confirmation that it was full board but the receptionist didn't care as they received b&b and didn't try and resolve it. So we had to call booking.com to rectify this problem.

Review 25：I would prefer to not being contacted by any marketing and sales persons during my stay. The air temparature at the garage was extremely high (certainly above 50C). Something was not working properly. I could not stay there for more than a minute.

Review 33：No walk-in shower. Only a bathtub. Twin room with two beds next to each other. No king size bed. Huge hotel making it loud and somewhat uncomfortable. Indoor pool smell in the hallways. Plastic cover under the sheets making it very uncomfortable and noisy.

Review 34：Great outdoor swimming pool. Huge and with several chairs and decent space to move around. Right next to beach. Rooms are a very decent size with a also quite large bathroom. Each room have a balcony.

Review 35：We weren't thrilled with the time restrictions for children to use the indoor pool. I can understand the necessity during the high season as the property is so big, but during our low season visit, it was very quiet so pool hours might be more flexible then.

Review 36：The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our room was very spacious and the views from the Sea-View room were terrific. Good location, an easy walk down to the beach or to the Marina. 10- 15 minutes from town center.

Review 37：Only on one occasion was there a misunderstanding regarding the white wine on offer, resulting in the waitress pouring a glass of white at 2.80 euros and saying it was free but giving me the cold shoulder after that. Maybe a better choice of white wines may help. All other staff were friendly.

Review 38：Couldn't fault the hotel, staff, cleanliness and services. Grounds and gardens etc were beautifully kept. There seemed to be different varieties of food to cater for all nationalities, but could have been hotter, maybe due to low numbers of guests and food not being used!

Review 47：This is not a complaint but a suggestion on general observation: 1. Excellent breakfast Buffett but layout could be improved to aid flow better and avoid potential scald/ burn in jury's at the tea coffee. Suggestion to move tea and coffee to end section where cereals are located. Also place condiments such as butter near to bread to limit the extra traffic caused when attempting to reach the butter. Maybe an age limit on children accessing and running around Buffett on their own. 2. We had a very relaxing stay but we did hear a number of guests complain about noise in their rooms. The furniture in the rooms tends to screech on the floors a simple felt pad on the ends of chair legs beds etc would limit this and prevent the complaints! Overall we had no complaints and look forward to staying again as soon as possible:-)

Review 48：Fabulous location on the beach. Excellent staff who were polite, friendly and approachable at all times. Especially would like to thank the pool staff for their excellent maintenance of the pool area and I agree with the rule to remove towels after the stated time period which is visible for everyone to read at the pool area. Overall great place to stay and will return as soon as possible.

Review 49：The playing area for children is very exposed to sunlight, during the day it is impossible for kids to play there. Hotel management should consider to protect the area from sun exposure. The dinner buffet is extremely busy, not sure what's the solution here, maybe consider inviting guests to book for 3 different time slots and thus divide guests in 3 groups. Indoor swimming pool staff was not flexible: once we wanted to go there at 17:10 and were informed that the swimming pool was closing at 17:30. The other time we were told not to take our children to the jacuzzi but could not really understand what was the danger.

Review 50：Vila Gale Lagos is a typical Algarve hotel to accommodate groups with package deals. The hotel is relatively new, all facilities are still looking new. Meia-Praia is wonderful and the access to the beach is a 15 mins walk, though you need to cross a busy road. The swimming pool is fun, children loved it.

Review 51：Quite isolated and not at walking distance from Lagos. Very full on the high season. Sometimes there's no sunbeds available. For several times we had to wait in line for breakfast. The isolation between rooms is very bad. We can listen everything on the rooms next door. The food in the buffet restaurant is nothing special. Lot's of people on the restaurant and quite confusing. Music all day on the swiming pool.

Review 52：Location to the beach (3 min walk). Very nice swiming pool. Good for families with kids, but not for relax or romance at least on the high season (July and August). Lot of facilities, such as a small store, a mini library, a nice bar, spa, games, activities.

Review 57：Wi-fi costs extra and there is constant signal interruption or poor signal. No answer at room service. Recetion informed me room service would only be available the next day. Breakfast is mayhem.

Review 111：Many of the staff, although obliging were not very friendly and welcoming. On check-in we were not given any information eg. 10% discount card, map of area. The rooms and corridors were dark. The acoustics in the rooms was bad. Being on the ground floor the scraping of furniture was heard all day long whilst the cleaners were working and at night for some unknown reason!

Review 112：The hotel was modern and nicely designed. The rooms were spacious. The air conditioning worked well. Close to the beach but you do have to cross a road (not a busy one), walk thru a car park, cross over a rail track and thru a short winding path. Relaxed atmosphere.

I am aware the hotel cannot do much to control children during the food service but constantly a challenge to get food from Buffet counter without having children running into you. Review 119：The hotel appears to have been marketed to German tour bus operaters ,We had many of these arriving and leaving .Whilst I am sure this is good for business. It made staying there an unpleasant experience especially in the buffet restaurant.
