Reviews for Luz Ocean Club

Review 1:Luz is a beautiful resort a little taste of paradise. The apartment and the apartment complex were immaculate with stunning views excellent facilities and a fabulous view of the sea oh and the sun was shinning too what more could anyone ask for, many thanks

Review 2:We were in an apartment that was outside the resort. It was a second floor in an apartment building. Nevertheless, the apartment was big with good views of the beach and the beds were reasonably comfortable. We had to walk 5 minutes to get to the swimming pool area. The apartment did not have Wifi. Overall, I think the price we paid for it is expensive but it seems that Luz is a very demanded place. If we come back to the Algarve I will investigate more for cheaper lodging

Review 3:The apartments are privately owned and so it is a lottery as to the furniture and conditions/commodities offered. In our case the 2 bedroom family apartment (Bloco 1 - appartment I) was dated and the furniture extremely uncomfortable. The particular the 4 single beds were the most uncomfortable and dated. An experience we never wish to repeat ever! Apartments were only cleaned ever 2 days - Mon, Wed, Fri. We had no TV during our 10 day stay - the technician only arrived on the last day of our stay. There was no wifi access in the rooms (only free wifi is in the public areas such as pools located 400m away with slow internet access). Balcony furniture was plastic chairs without covers and very uncomfortable. The view from our bedroom was to a car park, although we did have a semi obstructed rooftop view of the ocean from the living room.

Review 4:Friendly reception staff. Else extremely disappointed. We later discovered that very much better conditions were available nearby.

Review 5:Apartments are just too dated. Firstly having no wifi access in the rooms is not acceptable in 2015. (The free wifi in the public areas such as pools is terrible) The furniture in the apartments was worn and uncomfortable. Balcony furnatures was metal chairs without covers and so very uncomfortable. Two CRT tvs only had 3 channels. Staff at pools were hit and miss, often more interested in continuing their own private conversations than serving. The apartments are privately owned and so there is a little luck as to the furniture, etc.

Review 6:Location is good with pria de luz being preferable to the more crowded locations. The town could do with some development and improved facilities such as restaurants. Self catering facilites are great. Well equiped kitchen. Staff on the reception are very helpful. Close to Lagos which offers a whole lot more and yet isnt as busy as the more popular algarve destinations. Not sure where the rating 5.8 comes from as given the choice I would have given it a 5.

Review 7:Nothing maybe the shops a bit too far away. Ten to fifteen mins walk and push on the way back with small Hill and we were on third floor no lift so bit of an effort also.

Review 8:We had a wonderful relaxed holiday from start to finish. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The apartment was top class with the best of everything in it. It is a very quiet relaxed area within easy access to the beach. The pool was really clean with trees for shade and breeze from sea. The bar had good choice of drinks from smoothies to bear. Toasted sandwiches to fries and v reasonable. Happy with everything will definitely return hopefully for longer.

Review 9:No air conditioning Poor service at pool bar/restaurant Pool very cold

Review 10:Good location for beach restaurants and shop. Apartments great. Ocean and pool view lovely

Review 11:No wifi in the apartment.

Review 12:The apartment was within walking distance of the beautiful pool with restaurant, and of the beach. Sea view and big balcony! Really comfortable apartment. Village is lovely.

Review 13:It's not a resort. It just rents privately owned flats in the village. Location is totally arbitrary. They can put you at a flat completely far away from the location you see when booking, or at Google maps, thus tricking you to pay more for a great location that really is just a reception desk/real estate agency. We felt like we rented a private home from Arbnb, at the wrong adress, but with a cleaning lady and access to the swimming pool (after a huge walk). Although Aldeia da Luz is a great place, you might end up more than 500m from where you think. Beware!

Review 14:The sea.

Review 15:Just returned from a fabulous week.. first time in the Algarve and could not fault it at all . Ideal for families and those looking for quiet holiday will definitely be going back I will say the photos on website do the club no favours at all much nicer when you see it !!

Review 16:the family pool was great for young children and the bigger pool was great for teenagers! A very quiet place so found it relaxing! The beach was lovely n not too far away!

Review 17:Woken each morning by water pipes knocking when adjoining apartments used the water

Review 18:Apartment in great position with sea view. Use of pools and a short walk to the beach

Review 19:The apartment we had was very nice, good location about 10 min walk to the beach, parking just below, terrace with nice view of the sea

Review 20:friendly staff, nice choice of 4 pools, food very good, great location, would definitely recommend.

Review 21:Towels could have been changed a bit more often

Review 22:Bit far from pool if travelling with young children

Review 23:Not a huge selection of restaurants in the area.

Review 24:Great pool and self catering facilities. Great location & nice and quiet.

Review 25:I liked the location I liked the location. our apartment was very good value. everything was within easy walking distance.
