Reviews for Takeshi Inn

Review 1:We do not normally need ac, but this time it would have made our stay more comfortable. Not so many restaurants nearby, so you have to walk 10-15min for the dinner.

Review 2:Our room was clean and spacious, the owner was a great help.

Review 3:Nihal and family were incredibly sweet and gracious. A fun family to hang out with while doing research (and practicing my Sinhala) in Dambulla. Will definitely come back again!

Review 4:Nihal and his family are wonderful, friendly people. Always smiling, giving advice, helping out. They stopped the local busses to Sigiriya and Kandy in front of their guesthouse for us to hop on. The breakfast option was a good and delicious start in the day. Keep in mind, it is a family owned guesthouse, not a luxury hotel. We are backpackers, we really liked the place and the people there. The price-performance-ratio at Takeshi Inn is excellent.

Review 5:No wifi in the rooms. The shower water pressure was very weak.

Review 6:Location on the main road was good but a little bit out of town and away from food. There is a pub/restaurant next door though and you're not going to spend long in Dambulla so it's ok. Big room, mosquito net, comfortable bed and lovely hosts.

Review 7:wifi is a bit slow like in many places in .lk

Review 8:good location. Busses to Sigiriya or Kandy pass directly in front of the inn. 100 m from the place is a pub with good food, beer and a pool table. Owners are friendly and helpful.

Review 9:Not much

Review 10:Simple but very good value for money! Breakfast was good. Owner went out of his way to make our stay as pleasent as possible. He picked us up from the busstation. He also showed us other interesting sites then the usual around the city.

Review 11:The place is very clean and the location is great. It is within 3 km distance to the caves. The room is clean .but little bit mould in the wall. The owner is very nice . The food - breakfast and dinner - is good. We also went for Safari arranged by the owner for decent price. It was one of our best place during our traveling in Sri Lanka.

Review 12:A little outside Dambulla and hard to get there by feet. Can be noisy because everyone is using their horns everywhere all the time.

Review 13:Very friendly and helpful host. Coincidentally as tuctuc driver perfect to plan trips with. Tries to make every pick up possible. Organised safari perfectly. Good breakfast in the morning. Bus stop right infront of the door.

Review 14:Its a friendly guesthouse with a ideal location to visit the dambulla caves temple.the host was very nice person and got advise from him.the room was basic and very clean.nihal (the host) had prepared delicious food for us. The local bus stops just in front of the door to sigiriya ,polonnaruwa and kandy. All in all I can recommend this guesthouse.

Review 15:the host was very nice person.he prepared for us delicious dinner and breakfast.the room and bath rooom was very clean.he brought us to the caves temple without any charge.and we went to the sigiriya with a reasonable price from nihal's (the host) took took.i recommend this place to anyone

Review 16:Nothing

Review 17:The owner of takeshi in is extremely friendly and will help you with anything you need. I went on a daytrip with him in his tuktuk to polonarruwa and Sigiria. Of course you can do this by bus as well, but you will never be able to see both in 1 day ( for those who don't have a lot of time it's a great option.)He can also arrange other trips for you. He was very patient and took me to authentic singalese places for breakfast and lunch. I would recommend anyone to stay here, it is good value for the money you pay.

Review 18:The owner and his family were really nice and helpful. The wife made us pretty good dinner. In front of the house is a busstation to sigyria, just 35 rp. They helped us finding the right bus. One of their friends, a tuk tuk driver, would arrange tours if you want to. Rooms are basic, but with clean bed and bathroom.

Review 19:Have had a great stay here for a one night.the host was very lovely and made us feel at home from the start. The room and bathroom was very clean and lovey breakfast and dinner Thank for every things hope to come again.

Review 20:we just stayed 1 night there.nihal was an amazing host with lots of great tips and advice. after we arrived ,he greeted us with a cool drink.the room was very clean and its worth for the price. we could go the caves temple easily.just 3 km from the guest house.and its easy to take the bus to sigiya no need to go bus station. We would recommend this place to anyone.

Review 21:The air (or its absents). The whole day the room was closed and the ventilator didn't work till we came, so it was really impossible to stay inside the room, not even thinking of sleeping. The owner said it should be okay. Anyway, when we went to sleep we realized it was impossible. I felt really dizzy that night and the air in the washroom was just a hell, we simply had to soak the sheets in a shower and to sleep like people in Uzbekistan do=)))). If you come late be aware of this problem

Review 22:Clean rooms and toilets, a nice owner which gave us tea and wanted to pick us up (but we couldn't check our mails so went by foot)))), the place is nice if you want to go to Sigiriya the next morning as we did (the bus stands just across the road)

Review 23:Nice and friendly staff, clean rooms with hot water and mosquito net.

Review 24:Friendly host, bus to Sigiryja stops across the street, good, big breakfast.
