Reviews for J C Village

Review 1:Some of the property could do with some updating, especially the room bathroom.

Review 2:Location and friendliness of the staff. Lovely gardens and pool. Loved sitting outside the room watching the birds, chipmunks and monkeys. JC's is an ideal base whilst touring around the sites.

Review 3:The network and WIFI here is not very good. Not all the rooms have WIFI.

Review 4:JC village is like a small forest with lots of trees and lovely animals. It has such a peaceful environment. The service and breakfast are also good here. Although we arrived late that day, they still opened the swimming pool for us. We enjoyed the seasonal rain there and lightflies in the evening.

Review 5:The pool could be cleaner. Also the area around doesn't have wi-fi which is a shame. The wi-fi is only available in the restaurant.

Review 6:Good location, very close to the Cave Temples.

Review 7:Awful rude staff. Old dirty horrible rooms

Review 8:The room we were moved to (the one we had actually booked to begin with - one of the most expensive) was beautiful. Dont even bother booking the cheaper ones they are a disgrace.

Review 9:Be careful with the dangerous dog! Bit far from Dambulla city centre.

Review 10:Spacious room Nice terrace Clean swimmingpool Friendly staff Good restaurant! Good location to visit the golden triangle

Review 11:There were some wild animals in cages right next to our room which made a lot of noice during the night. The whole place could do with a little renovation, and a bit more attention to the way it looks..

Review 12:We liked the swimmingpool and the staff was friendly

Review 13:Wifi not available in our room. Rooms are not fancy, bathroom would need some refurbishing. For us was OK, but you need to know.

Review 14:Friendly and flexible staff and manager Overall simple "jungle type" atmosphere of bungalows, with front room chair areas, merged in nature and trees. Swimming pool is good. Possibility to have rooms for 6 (3 double beds) Takes good care of drivers if you have one

Review 15:It was quite a way out of town so getting on a bus to Pollonuwara was difficult. After waiting for about 40mins we ended up getting a tuk tuk into Dambulla and jumping on a bus from there.

Review 16:The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We arrived late in the evening and someone was waiting to show us to our room. They were also very helpful in assisting us with transport both to Pollonuwara and for our onward journey. Our room was enormous, clean and modern - complete with an aquarium...!! The rice and curry was spectacular - one of the best that we had in all of Sri Lanka.

Review 17:The place would have been nice 20 years ago. It´s worn out. The pool needed cleaning and the room were smelly. You need taxi or tuk tuk as nothing is in walking distance.

Review 18:Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 19:Room was not very clean, different kind of insects in both room and toilet, shower water pressure low, wifi not working (due to rainy water they say)

Review 20:Nice garden, wide pool, big room, dinner at restaurant was really good (we suggest rice curry)

Review 21:Late monsoon flooded everything.

Review 22:Very good dinner. Particularly appreciated, considering that the hotel is out of town. Late monsoon flooded everything. Luckily it did not flood the hotel !!!

Review 23:Payment could not be made by credit card as the machine was not working

Review 24:Location, facilities, food and service

Review 25:Bathroom.

Review 26:Nice location, green surroundings and antique feel.

Review 27:Not anything.

Review 28:Enjoy Pool area & Food with my family.

Review 29:Helpfull staff. Nice restaurant and pool. Good for resting after Sigirya and the Cave Temple.

Review 30:the bathroom not good, and the shower not good.
