Reviews for Le Ancore Hotel

Review 1:The bed is uncomfortable by US standards, but not less comfortable than any European beds we have slept on.

Review 2:Great staff, attentive to our needs, and a typical European breakfast. This was the only hotel at the marina open during the winter of 15-16. My understanding is that the hotels in the area rotate on who is open and who is not. I think all of these in the area would be equally as comfortable Le Ancore. Because of the season, I believe we were the only other guests in the hotel.

Review 3:Seaside location on small harbor well situated for exploring Naples area, easy access to town and public transport if you dont mind a bit of a hilly walk though beautiful spaces, wonderful restaurants nearby, neat as a pin.

Review 4:Restaurant is shut down now, which is unfortunate.

Review 5:Location is lovely, very quiet. Great restaurants nearby, but not a lot to do in this area. Rooms are great with a balcony, and staff were more than friendly and helpful! Loved the private beach area!

Review 6:Nothing.

Review 7:Wonderful small hotel, in a quiet part of Vico Equense, ideal for exploring Naples and the Amalfi coast. Friendly, professional and welcoming hosts. I cant compliment them enough.

Review 8:Wonderful stay at this hotel, in a lovely location… Breakfast was simple but absolutely delicious (best croissants we've ever tasted) everything very fresh… Extremely clean… Great Bar area… Staff were very helpful and always very pleasant… Excellent stay, couldn't have asked for better :)

Review 9:The restaurant was a bit disappointing compared to the other ones around there. The road outside for a piazza at the end of a little road was very busy.

Review 10:The views are amazing from every room. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very informal.

Review 11:Rooms are well designed but very small and a little noisy due to poor insulation. However this is very minor negative points that I'm listing

Review 12:Very cute little hotel directly on the water front of the almalfi coastline. Staff are super relaxed and there are nearly no rules. This is a breath of fresh air compared to other 4 star hotels. There is also a dog who is part of the furniture who brings a lot of warmth and family comfort to the hotel. The breakfast is out of this world with a r age of daily home baked cakes for breaky!!! Make sure you have some discipline or you will find yourself stuck at the breakfast table:)

Review 13:There was not anything I didn't like about the hotel itself which was truly wonderful.. Things that were not optimal were the distance from the Amalfi coast and the somewhat expensive and/or challenging transportation options to get to neighboring areas... and the few number of really excellent restaurant choices near the hotel.

Review 14:Sabrina, the owner, and her staff and have built a wonderfully relaxed and helpful culture at the hotel. They go out of their way to so whatever is necessary to help you or provide guidance on any logistical issues. The breakfast was delicious and varied slightly each day....which was nice. The decor in the hotel was gorgeous, and homey and welcoming and very current with a beautiful color palette and quality furnishings.

Review 15:The noisy construction right in front of the hotel. Requested refund, rejected by the very unfriendly owner saying, it is not my problem, wehave a contract. She did not keep her side of the contract as the hotelpromises on website an oasis of peace and magical panorama, well wecertainly missed that! She did nothing to compensate.

Review 16:The restaurant just down the road, Mustafa, saved our stay. Excellentfood and very friendly staff.

Review 17:Incredibly rude owner and staff that spoke and understood English poorly. The room is significantly smaller than what's chown in the photo. Breakfast was poor. Do not change the sheets. Sometimes no warm water. Very loud music at the night time. Notice if you want to sleep at night.

Review 18:The hotel informed us their was no dining or restaurant on site but had we been informed we would have spent out money on site!

Review 19:Great location right on the marina with access to Capri Sorrento & Amalfi Coast

Review 20:The hotel was in a small town quite far from Sorrento even though when we booked it described the hotel as being in Sorrento. Rooms are quite small.

Review 21:Beautiful, new facilities. Attentive staff. Nice view of the Bay of Naples.

Review 22:A beautiful small hotel in a lovely seaside location with very friendly and welcoming staff. Conveniently located for visiting Pompeii, Herculaneum, the Amalfi Coast and Naples, but away from the melee and authentically Italian.

Review 23:The shower was a bit small but serviceable, standard rooms are not large but sufficient. The (small) road can at times be a bit noisy.

Review 24:This is a nicely decorated Boutique Hotel with a lovely view. We most enjoyed the evening meal and cocktails in the Hotel restaurant. We also received very helpful suggestions for sightseeing and other things do do in the area.

Review 25:Trickey not to miss turning down to the marina, and plus and a minus is Friday party night in the marina - we loved the atmosphere but others may not!

Review 26:Our experience couldn't have been better! Unexpected surprise was the dinner menu, so much effort gone into all the dishes which looked beautiful and tasted delicious. Shame not more people eating here! We loved the cabana's and jacuzzi which made the very best of what is a busy little harbour.

Review 27:The location in the port, not at all a tourist hotspot, local restaurant frequented by Italians. The ferry to Sorrento/Capri came into the port every morning, literally on your doorstep. You can escape the throngs of tourists which the history and beauty of the area naturally attracts. Might need to be fit for the steps into Vico but good for working off excess calories. Hotel took us to the airport bus on final day free of charge.

Review 28:nothing

Review 29:- varied, quality breakfast - staff made us feel very special - staff provided great advice about thing to do/places to eat in the area. - the location is unique. it's secluded from mainstream tourism on the sorrento coast, so the village kept a very old style local marine athmosphere, very uncommercialized and getting more upmarket. Mount Vesuvious right across the bay, visible from the balcony of each room a true beauty in daytime and at night

Review 30:This small family-run hotel definitely has an atmosphere with the hand-painted tiles and the balcony with nice views of the sea. We also liked the cakes for breakfast. The owner was very friendly, flexible and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Review 31:The location and view was nice but the house itself is near the road which is quite noisy at night, you cannot sleep well. The private beach of the hotel is in the port where you can't swim or personally, I don't want to swim. Additionally, only 2-3, maximum 4 couples can be there comfortably, the beach is very small. There is no shop or supermarket close, you have to walk 15-20 mins to get to the center, but mostly you have to walk up on stairs.

Review 32:The lady with blond hair at the reception was amazingly kind, we really liked her enthusiasm and kindness. Breakfast was OK, there were many choices of cakes. The beach was cleaned almost every day. We could park near to hotel, without paying any fee.

Review 33:classic italian breakfast with many pastries, shower cabin its way to small, a bit noisy but that's probably because our room was near the stairs.

Review 34:good wifi, very clean and helpful staff, has its own beach/bar, near other beaches, the bus stops right in front of the hotel. Price/quality in the surroundings is TOP

Review 35:Nothing at all!

Review 36:We spent a week there in June. Cordial, service oriented staff, very friendly lady as landlord, absolutely clean; excellent windows to close when the marina gets sometimes lively in the evenings; very decent breakfast; with a lot of passion gorgeously equipped hotel; rooms with amazing views! Good location for excursions to Sorrent, Neaples and the archeological excavations as it is not situated at the entrance to the peninsula; ferry stops to Capri nearby; parking is ok; restaurants and bars close; not our preference for beach holidays rather for visits of the peninsula, therefore you shall have a car. however we knew that! SO WE LOVED IT THERE!

Review 37:Beautiful view, excellent location, very friendly and accomodating staff. A perfect view of Vesuvius from the bed

Review 38:out on a limb

Review 39:very good standard boutique hotel

Review 40:N/A

Review 41:Very friendly, helpful staff. Good location.

Review 42:The room price is not in linear proportion to the room services, comparing with other locations.

Review 43:friendly staff and home spirit

Review 44:Wish it had a pool- private beach was in the marina.

Review 45:Hotel lounge/bar had great food which was convenient :) good for a 2 night stay

Review 46:Just grate!!!
