Reviews for Villa Phetsamone
Review 1:Family run guest house Everyone made us feel welcome and made a big effort to attend to all our needs. The food was excellent and very good value. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and very clean.
Review 2:unfortunately for the second half of our stay we were surrounded by noisy people and the sound from the bathroom and the room really carries into our room, this made our stay a lot less relaxing, also the shower was intermittent
Review 3:The owner of the property is very helpful, the room is big and the breakfast is simple but good
Review 4:bit far out from town and you have to walk or tuk tuk into town to pick up a motorbike
Review 5:The owner was very nice and friendly, nothing was too much for him, he invited us to his New Year's Eve party and plied us with free food and drink, wifi is ok, shower is hot, rooms are cleaned every day, breakfast is simple but nice
Review 6:It is 2.5kms to the town. At 20,000 kip each, one way, by the time you have travelled in and our twice, you could have had another room for he night in town. It's a shame, but we tried walking...hot, sweaty and half an hour, all along the main road. We only did it once.
Review 7:The owner is pleasant, helpful and has excellent English. The place is lovely. There is a shared veranda and lots of lovely teak. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are large. Everything is clean and well maintained.
Review 8:It is 3 km outside of town, a tuk-tuk costs 2.5 USD each. The walls of the rooms are so thin that I was able to hear the neighbor's conversations and snoring at 3 a.m. Not a very good night's sleep!
Review 9:Very nice staff.
Review 10:Nothing. All great
Review 11:Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast and food. Probably best value for money you can get in Pakse. They securely kept our luggage while we went on a 3 day trip to the jungle
Review 12:The location, like everyone has said, is far away from the rest of the city. This is good if you want to just work for a few days, but it can be isolating if you want to explore more. Also, the walls are thin and is easy to hear other people in other rooms above.
Review 13:The staff was very accommodating and friendly, and the wifi was good for my work. The food was delicious and homemade, which was very much appreciated after traveling for a while. The room was clean and big. They helped me get a van for when I wanted to visit Champasack for the day, and helped me get tuktuks for my rides into the city and the airport.
Review 14:Rooms have thin walls and voices carry, minor problem.
Review 15:Very friendly and helpful family. Rooms are large with good ensuites. Located off the main road (quiet) and away from downtown. Nice outside seating area.Good breakfast.
Review 16:You need a bicycle, scooter, tuk-tuk or taxi to get into town...it is too far to walk.
Review 17:Very nice and clean room. The owner is very friendly and helps you with all informations you need.
Review 18:3km from the city centre and you need to take a tuk-tuk (one way $4).
Review 19:Friendly staff. Comfortable and clean room. Quite area, however far from the city centre.
Review 20:Put simply, I've travelled to many countries and stayed in many hotels but this was my favourite place I have ever stayed. The hospitality of the owner and his family was so kind and they were such lovely and humble people. They'll do anything to help you, and can also arrange tours to the surrounding areas if you ask. I checked in very late and they were not only fine but offered to make me a dinner as I was starving. Room = perfect. The breakfast from the hotel is the biggest I have ever been given! I can't compliment this place enough, honestly. There's no way anyone could regret staying here.
Review 21:It was a bit out of town down a bumpy laneway. There was no fridge in the room.
Review 22:The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and generally well equipped.
Review 23:What's not to like.
Review 24:Wonderfully helpful owner and staff. Booked Tuk-Tuks for us, took us to the airport on departure, arranged three days of excellent and very reasonably priced private tours. Superb.
Review 25:The only downfall is that you need to get a tuk tuk ride to the centre but the manager happily rang a tuk tuk to pick us up from the front of the hotel and it's not costly either.
Review 26:Me and my friends stayed for only one night but the staff was so accommodating. We needed laundry doing for the next day and they did it all for us for that evening (10kg worth!) we also needed to store our luggage at the hotel as we were doing the Bolaven Plateau and they happily looked after them for us, free of charge. The manager even printed off maps for us to take for the journey! The rooms was clean, decent size and the beds were so comfy compared to the beds we've stayed in, in South East Asia. And in the morning we slept in, and missed the breakfast but they insisted on still cooking us one. Overall this hotel was brilliant and needs a lot more recognition than it gets.
Review 27:It is 2km from city center and restaurants but if you rent a bike or a motorbike it's not a problem and the place is more quiet than the guest house located on main street
Review 28:The owner speaks a good english and is very helpful. The villa is nice and the garden is beautiful. When we left Pakse for Ban Nakasang and Don Khone, the owner arrande everything for us (ticket and pick-up at the villa)
Review 29:Location was a bit far out of town, but if you want to come and relax for a couple of days while seeing the waterfalls nearby, it's perfect.
Review 30:We arrived really early in the morning, but when we got there, we were greeted by a friendly host. He let us check into the room early. We only stayed for a night, so the owner asked if we had onwards bus tickets. We said we didn't, so one of his staff members took us to the bus station to get the tickets booked. This was something that went above and beyond our expectations. He also gave information about tours and got quotes from tuk tuk drivers for us. The morning we left, the owner also gave us a lift to the bus terminal, which was really kind. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are clean and modern and there is a garden with hammocks to relax in.
