Review 1：This is, a functional hotel. Well placed in the centre of Franz Josef. The room is well appointed with kitchenette. The hotel does not serve any meals, so take you breakfast food with you and make it in the room. Cutlery and crockery are supplied for three persons. There is a laundry on site for you to wash and dry clothes. There are bars and restaurants in walking distance.

Large shower recess with non slip base. Hanging hooks in bathroom. Heated towel rack in bathroom. Mixer tap in bathroom sink. Small garden patio with outdoor seating. Large coffee mugs. Fresh milk provided for guests on arrival.
Review 5：One of the best motel I have ever stayed in. the decor was lovely, they had thought of the smallest detail, little cute patio of the lounge nice and private, the bathroom and excellent, just can't say enough. Would got back in a heart beat....
Review 6：The room was advertised to include a spa which was why we chose to stay there and pay the extra amount, however there was no spa or bath in the bathroom. We were very disappointed in the false advertising.

Review 9：Would benefit by offering a breakfast service, even a prepackaged continental breakfast. The town is quite small so not much around for breakfast choices.
Review 10：Reception staff were very helpful, suggested restaurants to eat at, provided a map with places of interest and even suggested an alternate route for driving to Queenstown.
Review 11：The bed was saggy and soft, and some of the dishes weren't clean. The spa bath is an unnecessary feature in a motel of this calibre and just makes it difficult to shower in it. The shower temperature is very difficult to regulate as it's either too cold (with some pressure) to too hot with little to none.

Review 15：The spa bath. Nice idea but yellow soap-scum like scunge came out of the jets which was pretty gross. Good thing the shower had excellent water pressure (well the whole place had very strong water pressure) so we could clean ourselves off afterwards as we felt more dirty after the bath than before.
Review 16：I particularly liked Chris on the front desk. She was great. She showed us all the different places to eat in town with a good range of options. She also pointed out some great tourist attractions for us to visit. All the other staff we saw greeted us with a smile too. This motel was very easy to find and an easy walk from the township.
Review 17：The owner was very lovely and so helpful about what we could do locally, her recommendations were spot on, the best place to eat, great things we could do. We stayed 3 nights and felt so comfortable and relaxed.

Review 22：We had booked online and upon arrival were a little shocked about the renovation being carried out. But the owner, Chris, gave us an upgrade to an appartment at the back end. This was very good and we did have no problems with the workers at all. The spa bath was great!
Review 23：The big spa bath took up too much space in bathroom, very poor design. I didn't like the fact that our room wasn't made up because I left a newspaper on bed. Apparently that is the rule, frankly never come across it before in my 40 years of travel.

Review 29：Lack of places to hang clothes when using the shower/bath that were up off the floor. Would have been a welcoming touch to have had the heater turned on low so the room was a bit warmer on arrival on a cold winter day. Another motel in Westport had done this on our arrival a few days prior.
Review 30：Elements to cook on in unit. Adequate utensils to cook and microwave with. Unit heated up quite quickly. Warning in info brochure that a local siren may go off and explaining what it was. Crockery that was colourful and not white. Room colours and not bland.

Review 99：We arrived late that night, and I called to let them know. When we arrived, we were met by the staff member who was helpful and friendly. There was plenty of space (extra space) for 3 adults in out unit. We stayed only the one night, but the unit seemed well equipped.
