Impossible to get even a bottle of water during your stay in the hotel to don't speak about a coffee or tea in evening it's a pity it's makes the whole stay different if you have these basic things which even hostel are likely to have these days.

Review 42：Due to the big trade show the hotel was over priced. 820 euros for 2 nights! I would have paid the gladly since the location was good. The quality of the service and room were really bad. The first room had a hole in the bathroom door and the access to the room was through a messy balcony. I got another room after complaint and that was not good either. Review 46：Taxi driver was annoyed that I ordered a taxi when apparently (?) the hotel is within walking distance of the station. Having booked my overnight stay (10th Sept.) way back in April I had expected to be staying in the main part of the hotel and not in an adjacent building.

Almost shouted at me by the man at reception, when Ivery politely attempted to present my booking confirmation.I was asked to show my passport which I handed to him, who he then almost threw it back at me, telling me that he couldn't find my photograph, in a disguntled and cold manner. I am absolutely appalled by that rude behaviour which I have already voiced to him. No single apology was offered. His reaction was that 'he was also a guest in this hotel, implying that he didn't owe me any courtesy whatsoever' when I mentioned to him his rudeness and appalling customer service. It was upsetting and really not worth the bargain price. I noticed that he was also not being more courteous to other customers.

Review 49：Room was in very bad status. There were holes in the walls and doors. Furniture was very old. Double bed where two single bed-boxes put together covered with a sheet. So 5cm wood in the middle. Beds where very old, wooden box with a matress on top. When one sit on the bed, the tables of the bed-base underneath the matress where falling off so you end up in the floor. When pulling up the matress to fix that we discovered it was full of dirt, very disgusting. When showing pictures and explaining this at reception they where not caring at all, not helpful at all. It does not deserve not even a single star. Specially at that price. This hotel is a robbery.

Review 60：First of all , I was staying for 5 Nights with my Family in 1 Triple room and 1 Single room in the Extension beside the main building of the Lobby with different entrance to this building. I didn't like the following in Hotel CityInn : 1- People in Room Service are not professional at all , It seems that they are casual team ,as I asked them daily to put shampoos for my triple room and single room ,but If I don't ask them and remind them , they don't put. Also , When they put Shampoos for my triple room , They put 2 Only !!!!!!!!! 2- There is no Telephone to Contact the Lobby in my room or to receive any phone call from anybody outside the hotel !!!! The Only telephone was as an intercom beside the door of the room in order to open the Entrance door. 3- There is no WIFI in the extension Building . I had to go to the Lobby to use internet. 4- The Lobby is Closing 10:00 P.M !!!!!!!!!! So If I wanted any help after 10:00 P.M , No body will rescue me in case of Emergency. Also , I might be sick ,so to whom I gonna ask for help especially I am a Foreigner and I don't know what can I do in Emergency Cases. Even , There is no Security Instructions mentioned in my rooms. Also , If I wanted to use internet after 10:00 P.M , I stand beside the Lobby Door in the street to send my mails which is very dangerous at Night. 5- The Furniture in my room was very Old , It seems that there is no Maintenance for the Rooms. 6- There aren't any Plugs or Switches in the rooms except the plug of the TV , So If I wanted to charge my mobile , I have to switch off the TV. The Owner and manager of this Hotel must work on improving the above mentioned points in order to attract the guests.
Review 61：First of all, The Location is perfect near from Shopping center and Cologne Cathedral DOM. The Lady in the Reception ( The Receptionist ) was a polite and resposible and helpful.

Review 85：Het personeel van het hotel waar we door City Inn werden ondergebracht. ( Hotel Lorien Hollweide) , was vriendelijk en een enkel tramticket van stad naar hun hotel werd terugbetaald. De andere kosten echter niet.

Review 100：The setup between the receptionist and the location of the rooms. The rooms were in an unprotected area on the backside of the hotel (entry door broken). In addition, the rooms were filthy and filled with stench. What was advertised as a King bed, was actually multiple beds scattered throughout the room. Getting to the top room was dangerous with no lights and spiral staircase that had no landing.

Bed was awful, would of been more comfortable sleeping on the floor. Bed sheets had stains on them also urine stain on the duvet. We went to complain, but the reception man disappeared. Nobody answered the phone number that was left on the desk. AVOID unless you are a smoker and dont mind staying in the above conditions!!! We paid approx €45/50 per night. There is much better rooms out there!!

Review 108：Room was along the road 30 metres. Entrance was a fire door that banged when people came in at night. Lights in the wrong place. Noise travelled along corridors. Walls were paper thin. No towels on two of my four days. Soap from a pump container with 5mm of soap at the bottom. Breakfast indifferent in an underground room. One knife for three different cheeses. i hate to tell you what I paid £150 per night. I am utterly disgusted.

Review 112：We arrived late -at 11 p.m.- and we called to the number they gave us. We found the room and it was not the right one, it had been used and not cleaned. We had to call 5 times to the person in charge with our phones, instead of being phoned by him, what would have been the logical thing to do. First, they wanted us to stay and sleep in that room -with dirty sheets- but then they gave us the right bedroom. That bedroom was OK, but beds were not comfortable at all. When we did the check-out, they didn't offer us any discount and the receptionist blamed the person we talked to the previous day because "he was new and had no idea". Moreover, there is no wi-fi in the bedrooms. Not a good choice to make.

Review 131：I got a single room, which was very small and uncomfortable. It was located just besides the sidewalk, where the window was partly below and partly at walk level, therefore very noisy and not possible to open the slides. The bathroom was small, and the water flows into the room when you take a shower. The personnel was not communicative and it seems that the rule is that a individual traveler gets a single room.
