Reviews for Hotel Restaurant Rodenbach

Review 1:The bathroom curtain was very worn and stunk, the beds were separated, altogether the house is worn. The provisions in the room were poor, coffee and tea, I had to ask for a hair drier, I was told I can pick it up at the reception. After insisting it was taken up to the room.

Review 2:The restaurant looked pretty and sophisticated, pitty there was no business made the place feel abandoned.

Review 3:My bathroom had a CONSTANT smell of the sewers coming in and my room was only cleaned once in the four days I was there, my bed was never made... Not great for what you pay. Room looked great but these things put me off and WiFi was pretty non-existent

Review 4:Staff were very helpful - more so in the restaurant then in the hotel.

Review 5:Tricky to get in when arriving late. Not clear that hotel entrance is down the side. Difficult to get into Restaurant (I had to wait a while to be noticed!)

Review 6:Like the building history.

Review 7:Thought for the price we might have got breakfast

Review 8:I didn't see too much of the hotel, but it was very clean and the staff were very friendly to a dumb Englishman who doesn't speak any Dutch. It was a short ten minutes walk into the main square of Enschede, and had ample parking for free

Review 9:Room (201 ) was near a courtyard where the hotel guests were loudly playing and drinking. No great issue.

Review 10:Great staff - good place, excellent meal in restaurant

Review 11:It was a small bathroom, bit outdated, safe did not work, coming into the room the heater was not on. Restaurant and hotel seem to be different owners. Staff was helpful.

Review 12:I liked the location of the hotel, walking distance to the city centre.

Review 13:The hotel is in a very nice location, 10min walk from the cerntral station and the city centre. Polite staff, very clean and nice room and a nice building too. Restaurant definitely worth a visit

Review 14:It is a bit old and expensive

Review 15:The staff was nice

Review 16:Heating did not work in the room and wifi only in parts of the hotel. Lighting is very basic. TV had bad connection.

Review 17:Friendly staff, nice bathroom

Review 18:All super

Review 20:Loved the location..the ambience n artistic ancient Dutch feeling!!!

Review 21:Not much,

Review 27:As above indicated.

Review 28:Location

Review 29:At breakfast the service was quite poor.

Review 30:nothing

Review 31:close to town, good parking, balcony

Review 32:Nothing!

Review 33:Everything! Rooms plush and comfortable, food and restaurant outstanding, staff lovely in every way.

Review 34:Wifi access

Review 35:Location, friendly staff

Review 36:No room air conditioning. Was a bit uncomfortable.

Review 37:Having a good restaurant on site. Location good for my business need.

Review 38:Great location, room with balcony, a nice outside eating area.

Review 39:Not a nice room at all considering the cost.

Review 40:Locaation

Review 41:The price of the room is rather expensive but the price of the dinner is compensating this.

Review 42:The great dinner and friendly chef de cuisine. All staff is very friendly and helpful.

Review 43:The hotel is rather outdated, reception is open only for 6 hours per day (8 a.m. to 2 p.m.), breakfast is rather basic.

Review 44:Good location (5 minute walk from the train station, next to Saxion University), very friendly staff. Wi-fi Internet is available all over the hotel, nice meals (e.g. dinner).

Review 45:a little odd to have your vue on the parking lot premises are old but clean

Review 46:Next to the train station and no noise from the train traffic. Close to center of the city. Helpful and welcoming staff.

Review 47:We were unlucky to have a very noisy group staying there at the same time (a band, music event happening in Enschede) who were very loud and drunk until 5 a.m., so only got 1,5 hours of sleep :s

Review 48:Extremely friendly and helpful staff!

Review 49:Really bad service and bad attitude from the waiter

Review 50:The check in and the staff (older Lady) was really nice. The problems was the staff that served food. Young and not very experienced. And that is a shame because the food was fantastic. This has the potential to be a really good gourmet restaurant if they just had an experienced staff. If they could cut the dinner down from a 3 hour dinner to 1.5-2 hours the whole experience would be so much better and of course they could turn the tables around for more dinner guest

Review 51:the room looks a bit outdated, I think because of the curtains, and the tube TV on the corner of the room. The furniture is OK, it has modern taste in it, but the rest of the hotel looks a bit old, it looks on the early 80s deco. It was rather empty, as I believe I am the only person staying at the hotel on friday night.

Review 52:The staff were very helpful. This is probably the best hotel available in the Enschede City center.

Review 53:The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was very clean and kept up well. The location is right on a tram line to the train station or the airport. It was close enough to walk to the city center but quite to sleep. I enjoyed it very much.

Review 54:Do not book this hotel!!It is TOO EXPENSIVE: the rooms are small and the BATHROOM WAS SMELLING LIKE A SEWER. There were only towels present for 1 person, although we booked a double room for 2 persons. Furthermore, the room was noisy and one could hear people walking back and forth far beyond midnight. The average breakfast is not included in the price and is, like the room, too expensive: an additional E12,50 had to be paid for bread obviously of the day before. It is unbelievable that they dare to rent this rooms in the first place, and they should be really ashamed to ask E120,- per night.

Review 55:There are almost no hotels in the center of Enschede. This hotel isrelatively close to the center.

Review 56:Poor wifi No kettle/coffee/tea in room

Review 57:staff excellent, could not do enough for us!

Review 58:Old styled hotel, but lovely surroundings and atmosphere. We had dinner in the restaurant, great food.and friendly staff.

Review 59:Rooms are outdated. Could not see where the extra value for the money was.

Review 60:Outer appearance

Review 61:The hotel does not correspond to 4 stars hotel standard (as advertised upon booking and prices requested)

Review 62:Relatively expensive

Review 63:Friendliness of staff Good breakfast Location (proximity to city centre)

Review 64:Good location, big warm room and good breakfast.

Review 65:Restaurant - great food!

Review 66:Very nice Hotel and staff, also very Close to down Town and just 10 min walk from train station, will stay there again, if go back to Enschede,

Review 67:Too expensive.

Review 68:A bit pricey

Review 69:Very friendly and helpful staff, big room and everything clean.

Review 70:I didn't like the bathroom
