Review 1：Apartments are in a fantastic location. They are very spacious, immaculately clean and contain all you need for a comfortable stay. The children loved it in the indoor pool. A big thank you to the management for the New Year Bubbly. Customer Service was excellent. We will definitely stay here again.

Review 28：The poolside bars were closed from 8th Sept onwards due to 'end of season' according to the rather snooty male receptionist. The 8th September is hardly the end of the season.

Review 31：The complex is beautiful. Well kept and up to date and great facilities for families & couples alike with a separate adult pool. It is clean and the staff work very hard every day to make beds, empty bins etc - we were only there 4 days and the came in every day!

Review 32：Bed was too hard. No beach towels in the unit, they had to be rented at the reception desk, a minor issue. Not on the beach, a 5 or ten minute walk down fairly steep roads. Children allowed in the bar, often until quite late, something we were not expecting, especially since their parents seemed oblivious to the noise and rowdiness.

Review 42：Adult pool was full of children and this issue was not dealt with. Sunbeds were not patrolled and people put towels on nearly all of them by 9am and most were not even used until afternoon.

Review 43：Incredibly clean. Excellent maid service. Close to town, beach, supermarket. Kitchen extremely well equipped. Huge bathrooms with baths as well as showers and 2 sinks in each. Fantastic space.

Review 44：The double bed had a very hard mattress which made for uncomfortable sleeping. The apartment was on 2 floors with rather wide open risers between each step providing a daily workout. The apartment B3C (a 2 bed 2 bath) had a small balcony with a view of the sea between buildings but it wasnt big enough to sit out only for hanging out washing. If you are lucky you might get an apartment with up to 3 balconies each big enough for alfresco dining. We will return next year but not to this apartment.

Review 45：The apartment complex and facilities were excellent having a well equipped gym, sauna, indoor pool and 3 outdoor pools. The complex is only 5 minutes walk of the town with a superb range of restaurants and a bus stop which took you straight into the bigger more touristy town of Lagos. The beach and promenade were less than 10 minutes walk from the apartment. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. The apartment was cleaned around 2-3 times a week during our 2 week stay with towels changed each time. A welcome pack of milk tea and coffee was much appreciated as was the well stocked kitchen equipment, crockery and utensils.

Review 62：Me and my boyfriend booked this hoping it wasn't too good to be true. But with very high expectations this resort still went above and beyond. From the moment we booked the holiday the customer service has been wonderful, helping organise and book taxis from the airport, keeping the kitchen open later than usual upon arrival and ensuring a double bed as opposed to two single beds. The apartment and every facility was spotlessly clean. Great cooking equipment and a dishwasher meant it was enjoyable to cook meals. We had a sea view from our balcony even though we hadn't requested or expected one. The friendly and sincerely helpful staff helped make our visit as easy as imaginable and the apartment complex was simply beautiful. Perfect from start to finish. Five stars.

Review 63：The last couple of nights/early mornings were disturbed by a child next door whose rapid pattering of feet on tiled floors was transmitted to our apartment. 6am was too early for our sleep pattern.

Review 78：The apartment at Estrella da Luz was first class. It contained all that was needed for a self catering holiday and the added bonus from our apartment was a sea view. The complex is superb with family friendly swimming pools, indoor and out and also a health spa but with a beach close to hand we didn't have time for that. The grounds and building are maintained to a very high standard and would highly recommend this accommodation. A very nice touch was the free gated secured car parking facility. The beach and town bars and restaurants are all walkable and there is plenty of choice. There is so much to see and do in the area. Will return.

Review 84：We have booked a studio for 4 nights keeping in mind excellent reviews on the comfort in Estrella da Luz. However, to our surprise, the studio proposed to us (A0G) despite a rather large surface had the sleeping compartment, which was very poorly organized. This compartment had NOTHING but bed – no light for reading, no wardrobe, no nightstand to put watch, cell phone, book or glass of water … And there was no place to cram anything beside the bed. As a matter of fact, the space around the bed had nothing to do with the image of studio depicted on the internet site of the hotel (everybody can see two nice nightstands with night lamps near the bed), which we liked very much. We complained about it at the reception, and one hour later we were moved to another room (upgraded, one bedroom apartment), which was extremely comfortable – well furnished and organized bedroom, nice terrace, etc. So, of course, we were very happy, but the problem for the next booking is how to avoid rooms, which are nothing to do with images on hotel internet sites.

Cleaned twice a week with fresh towels etc. the pool area was very well maintained and a lovely area for sunbathing. Indoor pool and sauna were lovely and the gym had top quality equipment. Food in Hugo Beaty bar was good and very reasonable. Free and secure underground parking and free wi fi. Overall would highly recommend.

Review 98：Our appartment was lovely, the staff were efficient and professional. We were there to attend a wedding and my parents also stayed there in a different appartment. The pools were lovely. Rooms were clean and there was a little restaurant beside the reception was very reasonable and handy for breakfast or Lunch. It's was out first time to Portugal and loved everything about it.
