Review 1：I'm rather appalled that no one spoke English when I called twice to the hotel on different occasions to ask on meal info. There are actually some staff who speaks English. But the phone Operators of this hotel has no initiative to put you to another person who may be able to assist.. Quite disappointed with this.

Review 2：Nice scenery.

Review 3：The hotel is on a slope just outside Gero. From the train station you need to go up a steep slope to the hotel. Once i called i called the hotel to pick us up (as usual) from the train station, but at that time the receptionist was somebody who did not speak speak english ( except; Japanese only!!) and hang up. So that time we had to walk up the steep slope. Luckily this did not happen when we arrived and had to carry our luggage with us. So although the service to pick you up or bring you to Gero are in general good, language can bring you into trouble as not all staff (even at the reception) understands english.

Review 4：This is a very nice hotel and although the location is not that close to Gero center, shuttle busses provide easy access to Gero. Give a short call to the reception and a shuttle buss will pick you up from the central train station, not too far from the hotel. Or if you want to go the Gero, let the reception know and the hotel will bring you to the train station, which is near Gero center. The rooms are nice and clean. The dinner and breakfast are excellent. Lot's of choices and good quality.

Review 5：- We prefer dinner in Japanese style like in other ryokans we stayed before such as Japanese dinner set.
