Reviews for Domus Aurea

Review 1:There's a small rock bar in a nearby building that opens up in evenings. One, who seeks complete and utter silence should be aware, but a closed window will clear any noise. It didn't bother us, not a problem at all

Review 2:Great communication, very opened staff. Breakfast is awesome, good food, varieties every morning. Very good location, near the main street, but in a quiet place in the old city, quite romantic feeling just from being there.

Review 3:The fact that we had to leave so soon!

Review 4:What did we like? Everything! The hosts were extremely warm, hospitable and helpful; the facilities excellent; the decor charming, the beds comfortable, the showers superb, and the breakfast absolutely delicious. You won't regret choosing to stay here.

Review 5:Nothing

Review 6:We loved the warm, welcoming atmosphere, in an elegant house in the heart of town. Easy access to everything. All this with a private, secure car parking space. Lovely breakfast. Can thoroughly recommend staying here.

Review 7:Domus Aurea – located in the historical centre of the city - is a great place to stay for visiting the beautiful city of Saluzzo and to make trips to the mountains nearby (e.g. Vale Varaita). In the B&B itself you can feel everywhere the personal touch given by the owning family. Patrizia, the owner of the B&B, helped wherever she could from the beginning of our stay. We will for sure return to this wonderful place, once we are visiting again this part of Piedmont.

Review 8:After writing to the Ba and b and asking for specific directions, thereply came that I was to call. I do not have a cell phone for Europe, sotht option was out. After driving around aimlessly trying to follow themap, I finally found a freindly poliiceman who used his cell to call theb and B. Luckily I speak a little Italian and was able to get the ideaacross. About a half hour later a young woman showed up and directed usto the b and B. The facility was apparently being run by two sisters, Idon't know if the family was on vacation as it was never explainedto us. They were couteous but distant. The parking arrangement wasbehind a gate, the mystery of the opening known to the proprietors butnot to us. It cost 5 Euros a day, but parking on the street wascertainly not possible as the b and b is located in a maze of narrowalley ways. It developed we were very close to the main square andSaluzzo is a very attractive town. I would not recommend staying here onthe basis of it is impossible to find without help from the proprietorsand with the difficulty in parking we left the car for a day as wedidn't think we could find the location again. The service wasadequate but impersonal, the breakfast lovely.

Review 9:Breakfast was outstanding. The room was clean and neat and the commonarea had local information.

Review 10:The whole concept good to spend a long week end.. To relax & do some tour in the city. I will recommend it to family & friends.
