Review 1：We enjoyed our Christmas holiday at Baia de Luz! It was a wonderful deluxe 2 bedroom apartment. The kitchen was spacious to make our holiday meal, but was lacking in a few key items such as wine opener! The pool was advertised as being heated, but was freezing! A disappointment. Staff was accommodating, but didn't really help as far as restaurants in the area. Overall, a wonderful place to stay, and we highly recommend it!

Review 2：We loved the spacious apartment, it was well outfitted and comfortable. We made good use of the tennis court. Good choice of restaurants but with a balcony like this one, why bother going out.... Perfect for the 5 of us.

Review 3：The welcome package did not worth at all, expensive with cheap products. If you stop by at a gas station coming down, you will spend less than half for the same or better products. 2 big pools, but one has an age limit and cannot be used by people younger than 15 and was almost never used by the adults that was sitting around it, but the pool was warmer than the other, so we with kids that want to swim had to use the other pool that was a lot colder. Maybe in lower season, this rules should not apply.

Review 23：The only downside is the public areas, which aren't any almost for kids to play.. The pool area is not below the apartment and requires a bit of a walk - not long, but it's not "just below". The kids looked for some area to play with the ball or just to run around and play outside, but there aren't.

Review 24：The place is the top notch of holiday appartments in terms of comfort, appartment facilities and cleanness. We got the 3 bedroom + 3 bathroom duplex. Amazing apartment with everything a family needs. The apartment has washing machine & dishwasher and you get few tablets for each, so no need to buy. The kitchen is fantastic and very well equiped. There is a large table in the porch and another one inside in the dining room. Luz is a charming village with many great restaurants and beautiful (but cold-water) beach.

Review 25：We had a few issues with getting in to the apartment on 2 occasions which was a pain. Also I was very wary about the fact theres no proper lock on the inside of the front door and had visions of my 3 year old letting himself out at night!!

Review 26：Booked a 3 bed apartment but on arrival we were allocated a 4 bed penthouse apartment with amazing views of the sea!!. We ate at the onsite restaurant on the last night and it was amazing as was the takeaway service we had off them one night. Apartment very well catered and the maid service midweek is excellent!!

Review 60：Charge for local call. My wife was hospitalized and called the hospital everyday. I was charged more than22 Euro for this local calls. Telephone did not work for two days and had to drive to the front desk to tell them the problem and use the telephone - extremely inconvenient.

Review 101：The Internet is appalling and would be a big problem for a lot of people. Before booking we were told the Internet had bee upgraded from the previous year and therefore hadn't downloaded lots of movies etc for the kids. When we arrived it was worse than the previous year and couldn't load a web page. I was told by the hotel director the Internet was in the process of being upgraded and would be done within a few days. During the last two days it got better but still not great. Why wait until the leak season of August to upgrade when it was a known issue! The some of the staff at reception can also be a bit short but as you don't need to deal with them often it's not an issue.

Review 102：This was the second time we have been to the Baía da Luz. The apartments, pool and Alloro restaurant are all great and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a good holiday with or without children. The staff at the Alloro during the day and night are very helpful, smiley and quick and the food is really good. The pools are nice and the baby pool is just the right size and depth for small children. The town of Luz is nice and small with many good restaurants.

Review 103：Couldn't check in until 4pm - no flexibility on this. Only one bathroom despite being duplex apartment. Awful balcony as tiny with 2 large air conditioners blowing out air and overlooked wall. First time ever that I never used a balcony on holidays.

Lovely touch to have milk, water, tea, coffee available on late arrival. Pool area although small was in no way over crowded. It was well maintained and very clean. Pool supervisor always ensured sun loungers were available. Pool side food was of excellent quality and good value for money. Ideal location for families with younger kids as it is so safe and secure. For travelers who prefer the quieter resort look no further.

Review 106：The only problem we experienced was with the amount of traffic, in the resort itself. My mother-in-law was worried walking towards the beach area, as there are a lot of cars. But apart from this, the resort is ideal for families.

Review 107：We were a family of six people, including older children and a pensioner. We were delighted with the beautiful accommodation we were given. It was spacious, comfortable, modern and very clean. We had two large balconies, which we used frequently. The staff were friendly and very helpful, always smiling and attentive. We also liked the fact there was two pools, one for children and one for adults only. We would definitely recommend Baia da Luz.

Review 108：GATE- there is a metal gate to the apartments which EVERY time makes a big bang noise (when closed). Terrible, especialy in the night. LACK of safe in the apartment.

Please note that an EUR 250 deposit is requested upon check-in and will be refunded if there are no damages caused to the apartment.The resort provides a maid service and towel change twice a week.
