Reviews for Grand Hotel Angiolieri
Review 1:The bathub/jacuzzi was old and uncomfortable to function even as a simple shower
Review 2:Almost everything. The view over the sea and the surrounding hills from our terrace was superb. Room was very comfortable and spacious and the staff was very friendly helpful and kind. Breakfast was excellent, especially the home made pastries with a lot of variety, looking at a perfect view while eating. The one Michelin starred restaurant at the hotel was wonderful, and we ended up eating there twice
Review 3:We waited a long time until we were able to park.the restorant was very expensive and did not meet the michelin standart at all.
Review 4:The view from the room was beautiful.
Review 5:Be careful you don't miss the signage from the road if driving. Poorly signposted from the roadside.
Review 6:Really clean and well run. Beautiful grounds with fantastic views. Staff are helpful when you need them and don't bother you when not.
Review 7:The staff were charming and helpful andworked really hard. The views from our room from the bar and the restaurant were stunning. Such a beautiful location. Michelin starred restaurant is very highly recommended. Lots of luxurious extras to treat you.
Review 8:Staff were excellent. hotel was very clean and chic. Try the restaurant...fabulous food! Location is a short distance from Sorrento, but local attractions are easily accessible by train which is a five minute walk away. Ask for details about shuttle bus to the beach, station and Vico Equense on arrival...avoid taxis if you're watching the pennies!
Review 9:Small bathroom but great shower to compensate!
Review 10:Fantastic hotel with stunning views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Michelin star restaurant. Hotel and restaurant on the expensive side but worth every penny!
Review 11:The ramp to the underground garage, which is quite narrow...
Review 12:Unique situation with view on the Vesuvio and the bay of Naples The best room is number 506, with view on two sides Very courteous and helpful staff Excellent breakfast buffet and room service (we didn't try the dinner cuisine)
Review 13:Terrific views of Vesuvius Junior suite Xante Really helpful staff Tea and coffee facilities in room Michelin star restaurant Free luxury shuttle to local towns
Review 14:Neighbourhood is a bit scruffy and beaches not the best. Room small but we were on a budget deal. (Guests reserving empty pool beds early on was a feature on one day)
Review 15:The staff were really friendly and helpful. The restaurant was tremendous and again absolutley relaxed unlike some Michelin star level establishments. Proximity to station a bonus. Fantastic views from dining terrrace.
Review 16:Liked everything but rooms a bit small for the price. Not sure anything could ever be done about that.
Review 17:Everything, including the superb restaurant. Staff are phenomenally efficient and pleasant.
Review 18:The Hotel Angliolieri has a great location on top of the mountain but it is a 53 Euro cab ride from the Sorrento train station. Guests should be aware that this hotel is not in Sorrento and be perpared to pay for the expensive taxi ride up to the beautiful site. The hotel is a 5 star. The food is 5 star but not all of the rooms are 5 star.
Review 19:We had a horrible room and the toilet was to close to the tub. The pool shut down to early.
Review 20:The staff worked hard to make it a good sray
Review 21:daily changes to breakfast menu can be implamented
Review 22:Perfection in all ways!
Review 23:Nothing
Review 24:Beyond excellence
Review 25:the views, location ,staff, food, drinks
Review 26:Location, facilities and view were awesome.
Review 27:leaving
Review 28:staff, location. view , peace and tranquillity, breakfast, pool and jaccuzi
Review 29:Rooms are small and old. only the suits are modern.

Review 31:i was not hapy whice the room dhis is not a sveta
Review 32:A very peaceful and beautiful location with wonderful staff.
Review 33:Amazing view, great staff, luxurious small hotel
Review 34:lovely hotel, very helpful and efficient staff. we had a very romantic and enjoyable dinner in their restaurant on the terrace, which has very good view of mount vesuvio.
Review 35:Not too much food in breakfast, small rooms, only one restorant inside hotel, if you want another one you must go by car, no shops near. Beach - about 20-30 min. by foot
Review 36:Very nice stuff, view, restorant. Free shatle in cities arrownd.
Review 37:The standard rooms were a bit small, but no big issue. Beds and pillows harder than scandinavians are used to ;)
Review 38:The most amazing scenery from the terrasse, very helpfull and smiling staff, good food and service! We would definately go back :)
Review 39:it was a little problem with locks and handles they are seemed a bit tight, and no any hanger for shower in jacuzzi
Review 40:Excellent staff, the greeting was fine. So much helpful and friendly staff although the english language proficiency is not enough at the front desk. They have strived to resolve our problem fastly and at the proper manner. We booked double standart with a sea view, but the two bedroom suit was courtesy of the hotel for the same price "as a gift". Outstanding view on the Etna Mountain and the Vesuvius! So the calm and peaceful atmosphere all around. You might hear birds singing at the morning while lying in your bed, you get a great service and lovely breakfast out there. Room cleaning 2 times per day and complimentary sweets with wishes from the hotel every night. Highly recommend.
Review 41:Excellent staff, gorgeous corner room with views over the village and crashing ocean. Inspiring modern design in a centuries old setting. We stayed in late November and though the restaurant was closed for the season we had a deLicious breakfast and got great recommendations and directions for dinner close by. Would highly recommend the Grand Hotel Angiolieri.
Review 42:Restaurant is closed in winter, only restaurant nearby that theyrecommended was not very good. Also hotel is very difficult to find, gpssends you into very small street where your car gets stuck
Review 43:Good hotel...
Review 44:The Michelin star restaurant provided a limited and expensive evening menu. We would have appriciated an alternative restaurant at the hotel to eat in. We had difficulty finding other restuarants when returning from day trips as it is dark at 7.00pm in October. The snack menu was poor Lack of a small comfortable indoor area to sit in - when dark and wet!
Review 45:Spectactular view. The hotel is actually located in Seiano which is a good location for visiting all the tourist sites by train.
Review 46:Some noise intrusion. Lack of overhead shower fitting in bathroom
Review 47:Size of hotel. Personal. Greeting and overall service by staff. Good rooms including public areas and pool. It is hard not to mark everything as excellent.
Review 48:-Wifi doesn't seem to work properly in rooms despite our room having its own router -A little further from the amalfi coast than some might like (only 20-30min from positano), but this is the tradeoff vs price.
Review 49:-Great value for money -Great view -Excellent staff
Review 50:The hotel shuttle is limited and you do need it to get to train for Sorrento etc.
Review 51:Staff was great, facilities incredible. Really beautiful but also quite expensive.
Review 52:Difficult to find. TV system had no DVD, only italian sky, and very small screen. The hotel was overpriced. The resturant was a One Star Mitchelin standard,so the food was very overpriced, with small portions.Good wine list and reasonable value.
Review 53:We were advised the suite was the best in the hotel. The views were great, and the decor very good modern italian. I do not like jacuzzis, especially small both sized ones, they are possibly unhyiegenic, uncomfortable and noisy when other guests use them in the neighbouring rooms after 23.00 hrs! I would have preferred a quality shower unit.
Review 54:Location bang in the middle between mount vesuvius, Herculaneum, Pompeii and Sorrento from where the Amalfi Coast is easily accessible. Its quiet location and the easy access to excellent restaurants two michelin star retaurants within easy reach, seaside and train.
Review 55:Could not get the shower attachment to work for the life of me
Review 56:Staff is very attentive, facilities are modern and efficient
Review 57:If you didn't have a car you would be stuck in a particular remote location with nothing near by, bars, restaurants, shops ect
Review 58:The stunning views
Review 59:they personnel were very kind and helpful, the views from hotel were outstanding and the location also. I surely recommend this hotel
Review 60:Perfect stay, great view and a fantastic restaurant. I will return for sure.
Review 61:It was the best hotel in my trip: confortable, good room, good breakfast, excelent services
Review 62:Close to sorrento
Review 63:Room was a bit small
Review 64:Fantastic hotel staff, could not do enough to make your stay as relaxing as possible
Review 65:Staff , Accomadtion excellant , service was superberb , idealy located . would stay again .
Review 66:Bathroom and shower cabit in very small in standart room.
Review 67:Great location!!!!! Fantastic view!!!!!
