Review 1：We stayed in the Peony studio in Villa Monti and had a lovely view of the pool, neighboring Villa Capressi and Lake Como. No balcony, but we sat at the outside terrace which has a large number of tables and lounges and had it entirely to ourselves. Diego gave us very good area information - in particular he recommended restaurant Crotto di Pino which we loved and was our favorite, although all the restaurants in Varenna were superb. Liked the location of the Villa on the edge of town and it was an easy walk to adjacent village of Fiumelatte which has an excellent bakery/store. We were visiting during a rainy spell in early October and we had a craving for warm fish soup which we ate at Borgovino. Excellent soup, entree, wine recommendation and lovely atmosphere. Sofabed in our studio very comfortable. Villa Monti beautifully decorated.

Review 4：Communal staircase/ apartment doors of villa not very sound proof - comings and goings through the staircase echoed loudly through the apartment. But definitely not a deal breaker, more a reflection on people not being aware of shared space and acceptable noise levels.
Review 5：Amazing views and private terrace incredible. Christian very helpful and genuine in his approach - refreshing. We stayed in studio apartment - very comfortable and good size for a studio. Sofa bed was comfortable. Kitchenette had everything needed to cook to a decent standard. Swimming pool although small is all you need, grounds are kept immaculate, but the views are the real winner! Great proximity to centre as well. Beautifully restored. Loved it.
Review 6：Absolutely beautifully and patiently restored building housing several apartments. Our rooftop apartment had a beautiful view of the lake. Lovely pool with sunbeds. Varenna centre 5 minute stroll with tons of lakeside restsurants. Just a great location!
