Review 1：Front desk staff do not think. They only follow rules. Management needs to set a standard that makes employees think primarily about their customers and not how they can make their own work easier. Synergy between Booking.com and reception staff is poor. After booking 3 nights, reception staff locked me out of my room after 2nd night due to their own misunderstanding (even though all our stuff was in our room)...of course my room was not cleaned due to their mistake. Poor performance considering the price and several primative mistakes by reception staff. Team needs polishing!

Review 4：Do not be negative about price - full pension is really full. Breakfast, lunch and dinner just really high-end kitchen. Very good thermen resort. Extremely clean everywhere. Employees are welcome style and polite and friendly. Impressive and beatifull natural park nearby. During morning walking we've met a forest deer just in 5 minutes from hotel - that was really awesome))))

Review 5：Air conditioning when switched on made no difference to the temperature in the room it just made a louder noise the higher you set the fan speed, made the room very uncomfortable.

Review 6：Very modern spa hotel. Room was large with a balcony unfortunately my room had no view. Meals were taken in a large dining room that had little atmosphere, its design and layout made it more like a cafe in a large department store. Selections from the buffet breakfast were good and plentiful while dinner was a section of 5 courses from a set menu. The location is away from the town centre but next door to a railway station so getting around was easy if you didn't want to drive/ride. Bathroom amenities were a bit thin on the ground for a spa hotel with 4*'s. The bar area was very clinical, seats played out in rows so very little atmosphere. There was a table football game available but located on level -1 outside the toilets a real after thought, not sure why they bothered with it.

Review 7：There is glass-wall between the room and the bathroom. From the bed you can see everything what to do your partner in the bathroom. Half pansion was good (4course+ salad buffet), but only the main course was chosen out of two.

Review 8：Extremly clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast with wide variety of foods. Free and unlimited admission to all areas at the Kärnten Therme spa (across connecting corridor) . In our room there were well-functioning wifi. and AC.

Review 9：Without a car you are somewhat limited in what you can do. It didn't matter much to me because I did what I came to do. I mention this so others will know what to expect.

Review 10：This is a hotel with an attached pool/spa facility to which those staying at the hotel have free and special access. I loved doing nothing much at all except playing in the various pools and laying under my umbrella reading. I believe this is a fairly new facility and everything works with your key card and 'chip' watch so you don't have to carry money to the pool. A large pool bag with towel, slippers and bathrobe is provided. They seem to have thought of everything! The breakfast buffet was excellent as was the dinner I had at the hotel. Many people simply book their dinner with their room at what seemed to be a reasonable price. There aren't a lot of other dining options close if you don't have a car. I really enjoyed my stay!

Review 29：Our room was in an annexe and we had to go outside to reach hotel, thepools and spa. This was not clear from the booking information and wefound it very disappointing as our visit was in the winter and we hadlooked forward to undressing, and dressing in our room before swimming.The pools areas were very noisy from all the machinery and dirty. Thehotel reception staff did not explain where to go and we were stumblingaround in the freezing cold and dark trying six different doors beforewe found where to go. There was no cork screw in our self cateringstudio room and when we asked for one from the hotel reception we had tofetch it and return it immediately. Not a good experience and we willnever go back.

Review 33：From the studio apartment, to have direct access to the SPA you have to walk through a small garden... not very nice in the rain or snow. Of course you can access the SPA normally, with clothes on, but you'll lose the advantage of being in the same structure.

Review 34：Studio was brand new, and very comfortably furnished. All was perfect. The SPA was reachable by the hotel, and the (quite expensive) ticket was included in the hotel price. Villach is very near, also; and parking is free. Entrance to the SPA is free also for the day of leaving, and this is convenient.

Review 35：Bus / train connections to Villach not frequent. A free shuttle (asother hotels have ) to Villach town / main station would be awelcome addition. Paying for bike hire - other hotels in Austria providethem for free. Although we were given a reasonable rate, so it's aminor concern. Huge balcony needed a larger table for family eating/ card playing Balcony needed a sun lounger / deck chair or two.

Due to maintenance work, the Kärnten Thermal Spa will be closed from 8 June to 17 June 2015. During this period, guests can use the spa and swimming area of Hotel Warmabaderhof or of the Urquellbecken Thermal Spa. The fitness area of the Thermenhotel Karawankenhof is available.
