Reviews for Phi Dao Hotel

Review 1:Resturant a bit expensive and service a bit casual.

Review 2:Central location, decent bed and shower. Table and chair in room and fridge. Fresh bottled water daily.

Review 3:There were ants (red ones) in the bathroom but also in the room near the bed. There were a lot of them - some were coming in the bed...! The hotel was aware there was a problem in this room with ants as when we arrived a lot of them were dead in the sink due to insect repellent. The staff gave us a spray to kill them...but I think you should not rent a room with such a problem - especially considering the price!

Review 4:Staff is nice and can speak English. The location is good in the main street.

Review 5:Very decent sized triple room, big bathroom, comfy bed. In a pretty good location, across from a supermarket. Fresh and crispy baguette with good coffee (breakfast was not included in our room price) at decent price. Really value for money as we paid S$38 only for the room!

Review 6:The wifi did not always work, and did not work much in the rooms (only really in the lobby), which was a problem for my work.

Review 7:The hotel rooms were clean and new. The fridge was in my room, which was very helpful, and the AC worked well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was very convenient.

Review 8:Basic but nothing not to like.

Review 9:Nothing fancy here but a spacious high room with natural light ,quiet effective aircon, ensuite wet room and clean sheets& towels everyday was fantastic for the money. Also very central location.

Review 10:Ants in the towels on our first night. Very low door to the shower

Review 11:Good size room, comfortable bed. C.lose to restaurants. Value for money. Has a bit a hostel feel to it.

Review 12:Phi Doa is surrounded by many quest houses and hotels. Yes, it is quiet, however, if you wish to see a life of people in Pak se, going to local fresh market, watching what people eat and surly try traditional Lao food. You should find a room near Dao Reuung market.

Review 13:Quiet

Review 14:Staff in restaurant extremely rude. More so than usual! Took one drinksorder then wandered off.

Review 15:Lovely hotel. Great value for money. Rooms done to a high standard.Lovely bathroom. Easy to find. Receptionist had very good english andwas helpful.

Review 16:The valances on the beds were a bit grubby- I don't think they are washed regularly, but that would be my only criticism.

Review 17:The young bloke on the reception desk. He is always very friendly and helpful.

Review 18:We found the food and the coffee a bit expensive.

Review 19:The hotel is situated in the centre not far from the market. There are plenty of good restaurants along the same street.

Review 20:Internet slow

Review 21:Clean room, fresh bedding, towels and toiletries every day. Pleasant restaurant with inside and outside sitting area, good for breakfast and for a drink on returning from a days trip

Review 22:We booked transport through this hotel, and it all went pear shaped. Eventually got it sorted, but there are cheaper and better agencies nearby.

Review 23:We had a big triple room, and it was excellent. Everything works and the facilities were good value for money. We walked everywhere we needed to go. Our favourite restaurant, Doi An, is a biggish walk, but there is a great supermarket nearby.

Review 24:The TV signal is shocking in all the rooms but no big issue really.

Review 25:The room was clean and spacious, cheap price compared to other hotels in the area. The restaurant serves great food, try the mango yoghurt shake. I will book again when I return to Pakse.

Review 26:Nothing major. Only wish bathroom is separated between wet and dry section

Review 56:Nearby guests are very noisy in the hall during midnight.

Review 57:Very clean. Good location with a supermarket across the street. Light in the ceiling.

Review 58:Everything was good about this hotel

Review 59:The staff were not very helpful when asked for a street map we were told they didn't have one.

Review 60:Rooms were big and clean

Review 61:The road in front of the hotel was very dusty because of the ongoing road construction

Review 62:Room and bathroom were spacious clean and comfortable. The food from the restaurant in the hotel was good.

Review 63:Our first impression was not so great. First, the road immediately in front of the hotel was being dug up, leading to noise, mess and unsightliness. Not the hotel's fault, but it inevitably coloured our perceptions. Second, one of our rooms was really, really small. Almost the entire floor area was taken up squeezing in the double bed, with barely any room to move around. There are no lifts, which can be an issue if you've a lot of luggage and are on the top floor. All the bathrooms have rather unpractical showers - basically a low-budget version of the "wet room" concept of an unpartitioned shower. As a result, you'll almost certainly end up flooding the entire bathroom if you use it. The reception staff seemed to be both non-communicative and a bit clueless. They either couldn't or wouldn't help us with directions to a popular nearby restaurant, for instance.

Review 64:We stayed at the Phi Dao twice; on our way to the Four Thousand Islands and again on our way back. We took two rooms both times. On our second visit we had better-sized rooms: in particular, the one on the corner of the building (with three beds) was very spacious. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. Breakfast is okay. Bear in mind this is only a two star hotel, and it's good value for money. So, if you're on a tight budget, and come with realistic expectations, it's probably fine for a night or two. Internet was good.

Review 65:During my stay I barely left the room due to previous food poisoning and fever. A very clean and basically quiet room even though traffic was heavy in daytime gave me rest I required. Lovely staff and central location with nice lobby restaurant.

Review 66:No elevator and we had heavy suitcases with us. Halls and stairs need a little revamp.

Review 67:Loved the rooms they were beautifully decorated and the french style windows reminded me of the south of Frsnce. Bathroom was fabulous too really clean and it had an excellent shower. Food in the hotel was lovely and reasonably priced. Hotel staff were fast efficient and really friendly.

Review 68:wifi on the floor in room not good

Review 74:Noisy at night.

Review 75:Staff is nice.Location is great.

Review 76:Good hotel in very central location. Large, clean rooms. Very good value for money.
