Review 1：They would not prepare a vegetarian meal even though we asked a month in advance.

Review 2：Friendly staff who could speak some english, offered some recommendations for places to eat in the area. Clean.

Review 3：Look at pictures of bathtub. Construction going on above us until 10:30 pm. First picture, shoji square was not secured and came off. Light over sink was blinking and then went out. Staff(Harubo) notified and stated hotel book and could not change rooms; even though people checked in after us.

Review 4：Breakfast was decent. Good location, able to walk to Gasho village.

Review 5：Great view on the river, one of the best possible in Gero-shi, clean and very spacious room, onsen temperature was just right for me. Very nice hotel interior. Highly recommended.

Review 6：However, even the hotel knew that we booked 2 rooms for 6 people, they prepared only 1 futon bed for 1 people in a room. Though they apologize for mistake and prepare new futon beds, the beds are quite dirty and a bit worn-out. My aunt got a very dirty pillow. The hallway under the ground floor was quite old. We have to walk like 5 minutes from our room to the onsen bath. And the Building we have stayed are an old one, which is not so impressive.

Review 7：Good service. Big Ryokan/Hotel. Very nice place to stay. Breakfast was very good. The souvenir shop in hotel was very cheap !

Review 11：No character, just a big hotel. The onsen was just a simple large public bath. I was travelling through Japan visiting a lot of traditional Japanese towns and onsens. Gero Onsen is a very heavily developed town, much of traditional Japan is lost here.
