Reviews for Lankham Hotel
Review 1:The staff is really flexible on the arrival time , we could check in even in the morning 8 am and we don't have to pay for the night we dint stay even already booked.
Review 2:Internet very slow -Beds and shower poor. Also strange amounts were taken from my Mastercard account prior to arrival. As stated on Booking .com form some Hotels can charge the full amount at anytime and in any currency.Yet all Hotels wanted the full amount to be paid at reception stating that no deposits had been made (At least according to the staff at the reception desk.) I am currently looking at 5 bookings with Booking .com in Asian countries as we have had 4 disputed amounts taken from our credit card with no traceable reference on the deductions. Some Hotels did not respond to Booking.coms emails either when asked were deductions made. It appears that Booking.com gives your credit card details to these hotels. Booking.com and my bank are investigating these extra charges that have been made against my credit card heres hoping for a satisfactory resolution. I have had to cancel my credit card and seek a new one if it has been compromised.
Review 3:Location in Town.
Review 4:We had a superior room. It was clean but it smelled bad. During the night, ants even colonized my camera in the room!
Review 5:Close to center, restaurants and travel agencies
Review 6:I stayed one night in a double room which was overpriced for a very basic room. I also stayed one night in the dorm which was cheap but had a cold shower and hard bed mattress. But in both cases the bedsheets and towels were not clean and had several stains on them.
Review 7:Central location
Review 8:Clean, comfy, in a good location by all the restaurants, airport not far and nearby to motorcycle rentals for a trip to the waterfalls. We aren't townies so don't like being in town, this was purely a stop over before the airport and to see the waterfalls. So was perfect for that.
Review 9:We stayed for 3 nights, and during this time the room wasn't cleaned. Would have been nice if the bin had been taken out/ fresh towels. Staff on reception not overly warm/welcoming.
Review 10:Comfortable room, and great shower.
Review 11:Booked for one night to see what it looked like. On arrival found outthere were other rooms available for cheaper rate but decided to keepours after seeing the other rooms. So we booked for 7 nights. Bigmistake. Bed was horrible!! It was as hard as concrete. Internet workedfor first night, then was off for 3 nights (but ok in the lobby). Theroom stank the whole time we were there.
Review 12:I liked the look of the rooms. That was it. They looked nice. Theyweren'T. Staff was extremely good.
Review 13:No elevator, so It's difficult for carry big luggage and inconvenient for elder.
Review 14:Great location. Reasonable price. Big bathroom. Comfortable bed good quality bed-sheets. Money Exchange Booth at the hotel.
Review 15:It very Good place & Friendly place to stay spend small amout, nice beef noodle ,sandwich & easy to ride motorbike to tourist extrection points.
Review 16:We booked on booking.com on advance and were on given the option of a deluxe room. This was not very deluxe and was much more than the other rooms. All rooms should be offered on the website. Also s bit grubby.
Review 17:Good location in centre of town next to all hotels and restaurants. Currency exchange in hotel useful.
Review 18:Bit of a maze to get to room. No wifi in room Backpackers sleeping in corridor but no real hassle
Review 19:Excellent value for short stay, friendly staff for budget hotel
Review 20:They don't speak English. The bathroom was smelly. The sheets were dirty. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. The rooms are old and just not nice. For that price --> NO WAY very very bad!!!
Review 21:Tge location of the hotel is in the city centre...
Review 22:No complains for this price
Review 23:The staff is very friendly, they have cheap breakfest, the room is spacious. Great value for the money, I was very satisfied. Simple but good.
Review 24:The only negative was not having good WiFi in the room. Have to go to the lobby for it.
Review 25:We had the deluxe double and it was very good - clean, very comfortable bed and a big bathroom with a separate enclosed shower. We enjoyed staying there and went for a second stay so that is a recommendation!
Review 26:Bed clothes stained. Towels dirty, we did get them changed. Bed clothed not big enough for the bed. Lots of noise from the restaurant below very early in the morning.
Review 27:Nice bathroom.
Review 28:This place is located on the Main Street, but the room was quiet. The WC on the first floor gives the place a bad odor, but the rooms are neat and clean. Very convenient location. Banks are nearby and motorbike rentals are close.
Review 29:Onward transport is not competitive compared to others. Not hotel related, but there is virtually nothing of interest in Pakse - would recommend only for transport connections.
Review 30:Located within 5/10 min walk of 'tourist' bus stop Good wifi (available in our room on 3rd floor) Good selection of cafes within 2 min walking
Review 31:Size and solidity, bit like a frontier hotel. Noodle bar ,as used by army officers! Staff were very kind, helpful with excellent English and gave us 2 baguettes for lunch because noodle bar had shut by 15.00 A deluxe ac room at the back was basic but had a fridge best TV choice yet and a great view of mountains It is NOT posh, but great value and opposite the friendship store which is cheap for stuff before heading to countryside- Bolaven or 4,000 Islands
Review 32:There are no windows you can use. They are either overlooking the corridor or the public balcony walk thru area.
Review 33:Comfortable room with modern design and appliances. Good location. Check in is supposed to be at 12 but because I requested an early check in thru booking.com they accommodated us at 8am with no problem.
Review 34:I was told hotel airport shuttle costs same as Tuk-tuk but that wasn't the case (60,000 vs 30,000) so you are better off finding your own transportation.
Review 35:Right on the main street, helpful staff, room was newly refurbished so very clean and comfortable. Good WiFi and aircon. Rooms in the back have no street noise. Walking distance to everything.
Review 36:Clean and good rooms.
Review 37:wifi in the lobby.
Review 38:good location ,near the centre.
Review 39:No elevator, our room is on the 3rd floor.
Review 40:Location.
Review 41:Staff get a little confused, but still nice.
Review 42:Room was very nice. Good location.
Review 43:very dirty room, bad staff (they suggest me to go to buy clothes hanger if I need it...), noisy, smelt like moisture ...
Review 44:nothing
Review 45:No wifi in room only in common area downstairs
Review 46:Very modern room and comfortable - appears recently renovated,
Review 47:WiFi was very spotty. Front desk staff was mostly indifferent/impatient.
Review 48:Very clean room with AC and fridge, good location.
Review 49:Clean and spacious room. Great value for money. Wifi works well in the room.
Review 50:Noisy Basic No in room wifi
Review 51:Good location. Big room with AC.
Review 52:Service and staff were bad
Review 53:Room in the back was quiet clean and nice.
Review 54:Staff not very friendly, not a cosy place to stay. Phi Dao just next to it offers more for about the same price
Review 55:Located very centraly, well organised
Review 56:Nothing on the Hotel, it's Pakse that isn't much interesting, and is mainly just a stop for going to the 4000 islands, and finding food around the Hotel can be challenging (well at least for me)
Review 57:The new rooms are nice (deluxe iirc), and clean, nothing to say about it. My room was on the opposite of the main street that was being reconstructed from A to Z, so not much machine noise and all.
Review 58:The lobby looks dreadful, but persevere as the rooms are actually very nice. Could not get on the wifi when we arrived, but it was fine in the morning. No breakfast, but a nice Indian restaurant , Nazim, around the corner and they do a nice omelette and pineapple shake!
Review 59:Great room, very light and spacious. Twin beds as the last room, one was very comfortable, the other was ok :). Nice bathroom, fridge and flat screen TV. Good hanging space. Great location
Review 60:The lobby area and corridors are very run down and could be off-putting to some but if you can see past that the rooms are good.
Review 61:We spent one night in one of their newly renovated Deluxe Rooms. We saw the other rooms and it was definitely worth paying slightly more. It was very clean and staff were very polite and helpful. There was an issue with the water in our room and they were very apologetic offering us a swap straight away but in end we had two rooms one to use the bathroom in the other to sleep in! Was great! Haha. Location was excellent. Right in the centre of everything. Very basic but fine for one night. Although the Phi Dao Hotel where we moved to was much nicer and only £2 more for a much higher quality room.
Review 62:No wifi in room
Review 63:Room was in good condition however loads of other rooms we sawdidn't have windows.Clean, tv, close to restaurants, It's cheaper if you don't pre book!
Review 64:old hotel
Review 65:closer with everything
Review 66:Everything is good, I enjoyed my staying in this hotel!
