Review 5：There were two people working there that were very professional, Danielle and Nono, (I hope his ame is spelt like this). These two people were excellent, however there was one character who appeared and who had done Hotel school or something similar and I found him very amateurish...

Review 6：No bad experience, just that the mattress was rather too hard for me but suited my husband well. However this was remedied by a mattress topper which was put on the bed by the cleaning ladies, much appreciated!

Review 15：Pretty location, but a bit out of the way. Have to drive to the town for most things. You can walk to a beautiful cliff area, but it's not easy to walk down to water. Breakfast is served quite late.

Review 19：A few minor points that can be improved: The kitchen equipment should be extended a bit more. Knifes should be sharpened. The wifi coverage is relatively poor and has multiple SSIDS. They will change this soon. The breakfast could also be extended a bit more by having for example different kind of bread available.

Review 20：We were pleased to be in Vila Luz, a well-located hotel with medium-sized apartments. Because the hotel is relatively small, the atmosphere is nice and peaceful. Surrounding the apartments a beautiful garten is maintained allowing to go a for small walk from the swimming pool on. The staff is very helpful and kind, in particular the manager himself helped us in more than one occasion. Breakfast was served everyday on a nice terrace with staff serving scrambled eggs and coffee. Especially the coffee is quite good and we were always asked if we wanted more.

Review 22：The staff was so pleasant and accommodating. NuNu, Daniella and Miguel were awesome to us and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. The unit and hotel in general was very well maintained. The housekeeping staff did a great job everyday in our unit. It was left spotless. The breakfasts were delicious. The croissants the best I have ever had. Eggs cooked to your liking, bacon, fresh fruit, cheese, ham, toast cereal. And the best coffee with milk. Yummy!

Review 27：Very friendly staff from arrival to departure. Ground floor room was a very good size and a big balcony with 3 steps leading to pool . Only stayed 0ne night and exceeded our expectations. Beautiful pool area, a bonus having soft mats on them for extra comfort. Breakfast was a big surprise ! Expected it to be continental , but was also offered scrambled eggs and bacon with toast.

Review 28：Not a big problem as such, but breakfast is now served only from 9h. As we were going every day to another beach (the beach of Luz is not particularly pritty, but quite OK)' it was a bit too late for us. If you need to leave earlier you can ask Miguel at the bar to prepare a basket that you can take for breakfast at your room, but it obviously doesn't contain all the goodies. Another thing is the location- i didn't like Luz- it's very Brittish, no good restaurants. Wasn't a big deal though as we made a lot of trips by car to Lagos (12 mins) and further. Hotel on the other side was frequented by Portuguese, which i found was a good sign!

Review 29：A great place to relax and discover Algarve! Staff is extremely nice snd helpful. The views from our room on the first floor were amazing- just above the pool snd the splendid garden to the see. Rooms are very big and so was our terrace where we had our own dinner sometimes. Some people stayd at the pool during the day, but i wouldn't say that it was crowded, swiming in the afternoon/evening was in any case no problem at all and we were often alone there. The hotel is small- only 2 floors, so very quite! Inside large parking space free of charge!

Review 38：The room was very pleasant and airy with a balcony overlooking the pool and the sea. The rooms were cleaned daily. There was a wide assortment of food for breakfast. The staff were helpful and friendly.

We were not able to check out an hour later than standard time which meant waking up our baby in the middle of her nap... the staff should explain to people that really nice clean showers are available in the hotel for people who have flights in the evening so that they can spend time by the pool with a drink instead of at the airport - not every hotel offers this!!

Review 40：We stayed here last year and although it was excellent, a couple of things could have been improved, and they have! Now the hotel offers wifi everywhere rather than just the lobby/restaurant and breakfast is part buffet and part table service which works a treat. The rooms are very clean, the staff friendly, and the hotel is quiet in a good location.

Being an aparthotel gave us the benefits of having self catering facilities combined with the luxury of a hotel. The room was made up daily with the beds made and fresh towels provided. We had selected breakfast inclusive, this is a must as it is excellent. Well done the Vila Luz team!

Review 52：Our very favorite hotel in Portugal! Located on a bluff overlooking the Med with beautiful views of the sea and gardens, our apartment was very spacious with bedroom area, sitting room and balcony. Kitchen was well equipped if one wishes to cook. Breakfast was included and varied with eggs, cereal, meat, cheese and fruit. We walked to town in 15-20 minutes and we also drove as parking was no problem. Luz is delightful and has a very nice beach along with a terrific restaurant, Fortaleza. We recommend this hotel most highly and would return again on a trip to the Algarve.

Review 53：We loved the stay at this hotel. Our room was on the second level with a beautiful view of the ocean and the pool. We also had some beautiful pink flowers on our balcony. The rooms were huge with a small kitchen and seating area. The only downfall were the two twin beds pushed together as we were on our honeymoon but overall it was not a big deal. Good toiletries and well stocked. The breakfasts were amazing!!! You could have so many options and all were delicious. Wished we booked another night there! Great value for money!

Review 73：Very friendly and helpful staff at this well equipped hotel. It was a little out of town (15 min walk) but this didn't detract from it at all. It had a great large bar area with a pool table. The pool area was lovely , we enjoyed a filling breakfast outside on the terrace. The rooms were large, tastefully decorated and comfortable with a spacious balcony with table & chairs. The studio had everything you could possibly need. Would highly recommend and was great value for money.

Review 74：Limited kitchen facility - 2 rings, no conventional oven but with m/wave. Erratic WiFi - some rooms ok others not. In our room, Apple iPhone connected, Apple iPad did not (but did in reception). Guests connection issues were common. In fairness, IT engineers were called out, but made no obvious difference.

Review 76：I believed that they gave us a room with 1 double bed instead we had 2 single beds attached together. Concerning breakfast every morning one member of the staff make a list of things that you can order and they serve food to the table. In my opinion it would be better to have a buffet breakfast. They have basic things, everything is premade, any homemade products and this is a pity for a 4* hotel. Wifi doesn't work very well into the room but they told the technician was working for an improvement. Around the hotel there is nothing, it is a residential district without shops, just nice and new buildings for foreigner people. Anyway it possible walking for 20/25 minutes to reach Luz that is very nice (3 minutes by car)!

Review 77：Our room was very beautiful, comfortable, well furnished and clean. Beds were really comfortable, i slept for 9 hours per night for the first time in my life. We had a really amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean and the swimming pool of the hotel that is very quit and discreet. The breakfast is served in front of the swimming pool and the area is fully sorrounded by the green vegetation. Our room at the first floor also had a big terrace in which it was possible have a dinner or simply stay relaxed. Night area and the bathroom are separated with the kitchenette by a half glass panel. The kitchenette is equipped with the most important things and there are a table, a sofa and a tv screen. The room is really really nice with its pastel colours. At the reception Daniela gave us a warm welcome: she's young but professional and kind, she also speaks a perfect english. Anyway also the rest of the staff is nice. I heartily recommend this Aparthotel for your holidays in Luz!!

Review 86：Facilities very clean. Beautiful overview to sea and horizon from east to west. The hosts were very very friendly and service minded. They even did our room dishwashing every day!! There were about 15 minutes walk to the centre of Luz and beach that for us became a daily routine with great health effect and long talks over a cup of coffee at the many coffee shops and bars. We could have hired a car or bicycles from the reception but found it better to use our feet. Public bus to Lagos is very good and cheep, with air condition.
