Review 1：The stay at this pension was great. A few weeks after we did the booking online we received an email from Yuki giving us some suggestions on what to do in Yakushima. She also suggested that we rent a car to go around and visit Yakushima. She offered to arrange the booking herself. Renting a was a great idea, since visiting Yakushima with a car gives you great flexibility. We have also ordered dinner and packed lunches from Yuki. The food was genuine and delicious. I would recommend ordering the food from there since the food options on the island are limited. I would definitely recommend booking this stay.
Review 2：Yuki is the loveliest host and she made our stay on Yakushima so memorable. Before we arrived she was incredibly helpful in arranging a hire care, transport to and from the island and just generally being a sweetie. The accommodation is so beautiful and peaceful and we loved the stained glass windows made by Yuki herself. Yuki is also an amazing cook. She makes her own bread, grows much of her own fruit and veg, and the sashimi she served us was freshly caught by her husband that afternoon. The packed lunch (picture included) was the perfect meal during our hikes around the beautiful island. Pension Blue Drop and Yakushima itself were the highlights of our two weeks in Japan. We can't wait to return, and to visit Yuki again who we now consider a very dear friend. Thank you so much for your hospitality Yuki! xxx

Review 4：I love here so much!! Blue drop is the greatest one in Yakushima! Yuki really helped me a lot like booking the ferry tickets and sightseeing recommendations, she knows everything about the island and loves to help her guests to arrange their travel. The delicious food surprised us again and again~~~And don't worry about the transportation without renting a car, you can go everywhere by bus if you arrange your schedule well. And also don't worry about the size of your room, Yuki will make it warm and sweet, make you feel home! Since you come to Japan you should try the Japanese style like tatami, and Yuki prepared some futon mats to make you more comfortable. Everything was perfect here, Pension Blue Drop won't let you down!Trust me!

Let`s start with Yuki: She`s fulfilling you every wish that you might have.She is such a wonderful person, full of love and goodness.She has a great humour, is a very interesting person and interested in her guests. It is a small cozy place, so you will meet and also hear other people, but this is what makes it different to a hotel.You feel very much at home, it`s warm and cosy-just a pleasant atmosphere.Yuki and her husband work a lot, but whenever you meet Yuki, she`s taking time to answer you your questions, giving good tips or telling you funny and interesting stories :-) She is a tresor!Also her husband is very very nice and friendly, unfortunately there was the language barriere-but we felt confortable and welcomed also bye him! Eat there!You`ll get always surprises like delicious desserts or something special to drink.Yuki loves to cook and this you can taste and see immediately in her creative meals! You`ll have a wonderful stay with them in this unique place "Blue Drop", i promise!

Review 9：Yakushima, a must visit when you around the south side of japan. Our stay at the blue drop pension was great and certainly contributed to our great yakashima experience. We find the blue drop pension a lovely and cosy place with a wonderful host, Yuki. She helped us a lot to make the most of out during our stay in this island, like booking the ferry tickets, arranging car rentals and sightseeing recommendations and not to forget the home-made tasty food ( sashimi, a must try!). Review 10：Yuki was the loveliest host and helped us with everything! Booking the ferry, a rental car and provided us with all the information needed. She even came all the way to the ferry port to bring is our breakfast boxed at 6 in the morning because we've forgotten them!

Between her amazing cooking, knowledge of the beautiful island and meticulously clean pension, a trip to yakushima becomes much less of a ordeal and more of a pleasure. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful island and staying at the blue drop made it all the better.
Review 12：Basic rooms with bunk beds that are difficult to get into. No place to sit! Showers available only for a short period of time in the morning and in the evening. Day curfew between 10am and 4pm.

I was worried prior to the arrival about the idea of a shared bathroom, but there were multiple bathrooms and sinks available in the home so this was never a problem - anytime I wanted the bathroom to myself, it was available - even with multiple guests staying in the house.
Review 15：I loved everything about this home-stay. Yuki quickly became a friend, and her home and food were the best experiences I had in my week long adventure in Japan. Yuki helped us plan our visit even before we arrived on the island. Her English is excellent and she strikes a balance between giving you space to interact with your partner or with her if that is what you are interested in doing. My husband and I loved her company so invited her to join us at dinner, which made for excellent company. Her home was spotless and her island is a dream come true! She even walked us around her farm so we could see where all her delicious food came from that she kept providing each night. I 100% recommend Pension Blue Drop to anyone who is comfortable staying is a simple, sweet Japanese style-home and who loves good food and good company. We love this place and plan to come back with our whole family next time!

Review 20：Want to spend a perfect vacation in Yakushima ask Yuki. Before, during and even after your stay Yuki will be your best friend and advisor in all matters. Honestly, I have never seen such caring and kind hostess. Long before we arrived to Yakushima Yuki contacted us proposing her help and for a few weeks tried to arrange a ferry, a car and plan a route for us. She will do everything possible and even impossible (that's what she did for us with her magic) to make your stay unforgettable. Her beautiful hotel Blue Drop is simple and elegant, with only three rooms you immediately feel like you are visiting a home of a friend. Yuki cooks herself all meals and she does it with love and joy. And then special matcha party comes. The Blue Drop is located near the outside sea onsen, the place you definitely don't want to miss while in Yakushima. Ask Yuki about her friends' restaurant Kotobuki, another magical spot on the island. After you leave Yuki's place carrying a lunch box with delicious sandwiches and a lovely message from Yuki your heart will for sure overflow from joy and gratitude for meeting such a beautiful person as Yuki and finding a new home in Japan.
Review 21：It takes some time to get there by bus from the ferry harbor; but on the upside, it is close to great sightseeing spots.
Review 22：The host Yuki is a great cook and uses mostly self-produced products from her garden and freshly caught fish by her husband. She had great ideas what to see on the island, and even perfectly organized how to get there by public transport, so we could enjoy great hikes, sight seeing and the amazing ocean onsen which is close to the pension. There is a busstop close to Blue Drop.
