In the secluded Spartaia Bay, half a mile from Procchio, Hotel Désirée has direct access to a stunning private beach, as well as great sports facilities and hotel services.
Use of Désirée’s private beach, where you can find a lifeguard as well as lounge chairs and sun umbrellas is included in the room rate. Enjoy water sports here or go for a swim in the hotel’s large outdoor pool instead.
In the hotel’s 18-acre private park you can also play tennis or work out in the outdoor gym. Children have their own playground at Hotel Désirée, as well as a kid’s club, where they can enjoy a variety of games and activities. Sports lessons can also be organized by the hotel as can trips, boat rides and much more.
Hotel Désirée puts on a free shuttle service to nearby Procchio town center and shuttles can also be organized to La Pila airport, 2 miles away. Portoferraio harbor is a 15-minute drive from here.

Review 1：Dinner only ok. Food precooked and not hot and service absolutely rushed with plates taken before you had finished and the next course placed immediately in front of you (having been covered by a plastic stacking container-not nice) Not particularly good with limited choice and odd Germanic influenced dishes. Less authentic seaside Italian than anticipated. Very Disappointing.

Review 9：American coffee here, as in other places in Italy, is actually instant coffee (powder coffee dissolved in hot water). Whereas we prefer the long(ish) coffee from ground beans that one gets at breakfast in Germany, Austria or the Swiss "cafe crème". However, the restaurant staff suggested an alternative - the "espresso lungo con latte caldo aparte" :). Sorry for not being an espresso drinker in the Land of Espresso :)

Review 10：Great staff - at the reception desk, in the restaurant, on the beach. Of course, as in any other country, perhaps trying to speak the local language a little bit does help. Clean rooms, common areas, beach. Nice view from the balcony and the room.

Review 11：I booked a room advertised with a sea view but was given a ground floor room that overlooked the bar area, I paid extra for this so was very disappointed. Rooms a little basic

Review 12：The hotel was in a great location with a nice beach and pool You really do need a car to get around though as there are no easy walks from the hotel just along the busy main road. The food was excellent and the staff could not do enough.

Review 17：This hotel is not a 4 stars hotel. The Classic rooms are poor, anciemt and noisy.

Review 20：The is something weird about this hotel. Everything seems to be controlled. Totally disfunctional is their beach chair reservation managed by some wanna-be lifeguard. First row is 10 EUR extra. On our day of departure we were given 3rd row with no apparent reason ("second row is all reserved"). We left at 2pm with noone in the 2nd row. We felt also mistreated by management regarding pricing. We had a EUR 1100 confirmation by booking.com and asked for a add-on person. We were confirmed the addtional person for EUR 160 per day, i.e. 1460 EUR total. We ended up paying 1514 EUR. Breakfast staff is sometimes a little rough, maybe it's a language thing. Overall, the location is fantastic, the place is clean, but the experience misses the wellbeing factor that I would expect at this price. We will not return, but instead go to the Hotel del Golfo next door.

Although Procchio is less than 2 km away, you need your own means of transportation as the steep, winding, poorly lit road is not the ideal place for a pre or after-dinner stroll.
