Reviews for Best Western Hotel Inca

Review 1:not sure if it was implied when I booked, but Parking is not included- 15 Euro per day at a secure garage you can access 24/7. street parking is only good for 4 hour periods.

Review 2:Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast had hot items (eggs/sausage etc) which is always welcome in Europe as it's not always standard. The location is within walking distance to downtown (1/2 mile or so) and it's all downhill from the hotel, so it could be a long walk 'home' at the end of busy day.

Review 3:Good location in city centre, in a quiet square but very close to downtown area. The hotel has a 70's, 80's vintage feeling. Wood furniture, carpets and a warm ambience in general, which we loved (some may find it 'old'). The staff were very nice and helpful.

Review 4:The Hotel did not seem to be 4 stars, pretty normal with not large rooms and extra facility. Small elevator was also problematic.

Review 5:Breakfast was great, clean rooms, nice staff, well-located.

Review 6:there were many varieties for breakfast but nothing was good and it was not at all good.

Review 7:room was really good and in walk able distance to all tourist places

Review 8:.The weather was disappointing

Review 9:The staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was plentiful, with gluten-free bread being available. Wi-Fi worked well in the room. By booking late, I got a very good deal

Review 10:Wood door was not a dense wood so noise passed right through it. I had to go out into hall and ask people to keep noise down. Seems Europeans like to talk in hallways. I also had ants in my room. Reception wasn't as friendly but spoke English.

Review 11:I liked the size of room. My view was good as well as I was on upper floor.

Review 12:We booked a cab to a wedding venue via the hotel in Braga and were charged €130 . We later realised we had been overcharged . We were charged €100 for the return trip from another cab company

Review 13:Staff were very helpful

Review 14:we asked for quiet room, and we first got 1 nicely renovated room at the front on first level, so we asked for another more quite room and got one at 6th floor (not renovated) but much more quite (so we were happy)

Review 15:very close to everything (and taxi was around 5euro if did not want to walk after dinner / porto)

Review 16:- WiFi works only good at the ground flour - a recptionist forgot to hand-in a message left for me - the hotel is old

Review 17:- location - breakfst is ok, but not variation

Review 18:The hotel was so old it was original from the 80's or somethingnothing like the ones back in Sydney and Australia Wouldn't adviseanyone to stay there port value for money especially with decor internethopeless wifi dropped out every 2 minutes Worst hotel of our month longtrip around Europe dont stay here !!!

Review 19:Service was nice and in a quieter location not far from the main actionThat we only stayed 1 night

Review 20:Wi-Fi was acceptable but doesn't fast enough most the times.

Review 21:Staff were very helpful, Good location, close to the city centre and not far from the metro station.

Review 22:The Wifi didn't work well in our bedroom. They couldn't give provide us with a double bed, but with two single beds.

Review 23:The hotel is well located, good breakfast.

Review 24:The second room we received had a peculiar smell, very small, mattress with bumps, wifi very poor, furniture obsolete, depressing. In the first room we received the water from the air conditioner was leaking and a bucket in front of the bathroom door was collecting the water! The pictures one can see are misleading.

Review 25:Polite staff.

Review 26:The style of the room, the bath room, the furniture is getting old style. It is needed to have foot healthy because it is into the center but a bit high hill.

Review 27:People at the reception is helpful, all into the hotel is quite comfortable. There is a large place onto you can park your car in front of the hotel... Practical. Really close to streets with nice bar and restaurant for summer evenings...

Review 28:The receptionists could smile a bit

Review 29:We have got a room we requested which was very important. It is absolutely good value hotel. The furniture is outdated which did not bother us at all as the room was big and clean, closed by nice bars and restaurants, still within 15mins walking from the station, good breakfast

Review 30:Room WiFi was unreliable on my tablet and my wife's iPhone. The other WiFi in the foyer worked very well.

Review 31:Staff were helpful. Close to town and sights.

Review 32:Nothing, had to pay 15€to park, but that is standard in a big city

Review 33:Everything. Excellent staff, clean comfortable room, excellent breakfast. Very affordable. Good value for the money

Review 34:Nas Fotos ele parece ser melhor do que aparenta... hotel e acomodações antigas (como tudo em Porto) e o quarto que pegamos fedia muito a cigarro.

Review 35:Do café da manhã.

Review 36:Very small room. Don't know how two people could possibly stay comfortably in so little space. If you plan on driving, you MUST have GPS; I didn't and it took me 3 hours from the airport to get to the hotel (18 km)!! Add 15 Euros to hotel cost per night, if you have a car that needs parking space. Noise from other guests can make sleep difficult as it did for me on third night...very frustrating.

Review 37:Good location for seeing Porto on foot and by bus and metro Breakfast was good; staff were pleasant

Review 38:room is not as pretty as from the picture. buffet breakfast doesn't refill, finish is finish. safety box charges 1.5 euro per day in order to have a key to lock it. What a kind of 4 stars hotel !

Review 39:good location, walking distance to city center, close to metro station

Review 40:Porto's hills made getting back to the hotel from the river very tiring hotel interior a bit dated

Review 41:Peacefull and safe staff very helpfull good breakfast

Review 42:We got twin beds instead of a double bed, despite asking specifically for a double bed. The twin beds were side by side so it wasn't a big deal.

Review 43:Very clean, nice room. Staff is very friendly.

Review 44:Breakfast room opened at 7.30am. Food not replenished quickly enough. Hotel was very clean, good beds but very tired looking.

Review 45:Stayed 3 nights to explore Porto. Loved every minute. Great value for a reasonably good location at top of old city. 10 minute walk down to Plaza de Liberdade.

Review 46:The hotel although very clean was a little tired and would benefit from some decoration.

Review 47:Staff on reception were most polite and did their very best to help us make the most of our stay.

Review 48:Broken air conditioning, but being spring meant that opening a window solved the problem. Fixed by staff for all of 2 hours - but same staff slightly condescending, so didn't wish to complain again. Jamming curtains, mini-bar door needed lifting to close correctly, basin plug chain slipped a rivet.. . Was afraid to touch anything after a while!

Review 49:Excellent breakfast, with superb service. Comfortable beds, very clean, main bar tender very obliging, Very impressed with the language skills of most staff who were using English, French and Portuguese by turn.

Review 50:Nothing really, but tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been perfect but this is hard to find in mainland Europe.

Review 51:The location is fairly good in a quiet square but walkable to the main attractions. Porto is very hilly so the walk back to hotel is uphill, however taxis are reasonably priced. Our room though dated was very clean, we had a sitting room and a balcony, unexpected but very nice. Breakfast included was the usual continental style but very good.

Review 52:Great hotel - we were given the room we wanted (top floor, not facing the street), it was clean and quiet at all times. Great comfortable bed, very good breakfast from 7:30 (eggs, bacon, meats, cheeses, pastries, yoghurt, fresh fruit etc).

Review 53:Although other comments say wifi not smooth, it was quickly. Very nice reception staff, especially John. Very good beds, bath too small. Great breakfast.

Review 54:Room interior is really ancient, but overall room is very clean and in good condition. Pillows are a little bit too hard. Complimentary toiletries are provided (no hair conditioner, only shampoo).

Review 55:Really convenient location - short walk to the city center, a lot of restaurants around, all opened late. Breakfast is very decent. Parking garage is next to hotel (15 euro a day).

Review 56:The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms although a little dated were clean and tidy and cleaned on a daily basis. Breakfast was great, plenty of variety and lots of it.cereals, cooked, continental etc The bed in our rooms very comfortable.:-):-)

Review 57:-

Review 58:Generous breakfast, helpful and polite staff, roomcleaning every day, central location, but in the same time very quiet, metro station Trindade - 5 min, the hotel design is a bit oldschool, but everything else is just perfect!!!

Review 59:Breakfast. coffee terrible, fruit juice watered down. Asked for shower,( after hip operation). Got shower over bath. Bath was rusty around plughole. Whole place was depressing.

Review 60:position was ok.

Review 61:Carpets, I never like carpets. It looks a bit like a fancy old hotel that was adequate for the 21st century. It worked, but carpets are still there

Review 62:Bed, breakfast, location. The square in front is a perfect parking place, free on weekends

Review 63:It was a bit cold in the morning in January, but we had air conditioning heating. Perhaps a couple more blankets would also be helpful.

Review 64:The staff were very polite and willing to accommodate our needs.

Review 65:Breakfast is very good with a nice mix of western and European to suit all tastes. Room at back of hotel was quiet with a nice view of the sunrise over tile roofs. Close to metro and bus, great small Portuguese family style cafes and restaurants. A short walk to most tourist spots

Review 66:I checked out on Sunday morning and still haven't received any form of invoice. Paper, post or electronic?? The lady at the desk got confused when I questioned the bill do that may be the reason. However, if I am being charged for something then I would appreciate an invoice

Review 67:. Apart from that, hotel was good. Free wifi which is a bit tempremental. 5 min walk from the night spot which is great and a little place called candelbro round the corner was great for wine.

Review 68:Very noisy. Instead of one big bed - two small side. For young couples - is not terribly convenient. Very small number.

Review 69:Excellent breakfast. Very friendly and nice staff. Clean. Five minutes walk to the center of Lisbon.

Review 70:Friendly, very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Close to metro, buses and good local cafes. Easy walk to all tourist spots and shopping. Stayed 7 days, good wifi

Review 71:Very good location, easy walk to the river and the old town. Helpful staff, and tasty breakfast. Hotel, and room were clean, the only 'complaint' was, that we had an ant-family in our room, next to the window.

Review 72:Noting

Review 73:Fine beds so slept well in a quiet area. The breakfast had a good selection for all appetites. Easy access to sights. Some bargain eating places nearby.

Review 74:Small entrance lobby and tiny elevators reflect the age of the property. 15 Euro charge for parking is ridiculous, although there is a public parking lot across the street that is free overnight. The paid parking starts at 8 a.m., so you need to get up early and buy a ticket and get it in your car - the cost is minimal (50 cents an hour). Wi-fi service is spotty and practically non existent in the rooms - I had to go to the lounge to be able to accomplish anything on the Internet. The a/c unit in the bedroom was wall mounted over the doorway to the bathroom, and it leaked badly so we had to dodge water drops every time we went to the bathroom. We eventually had to turn it off and put a towel on the floor to absorb the water.

Review 75:Registration desk staff were attentive and very helpful with information. Room was adequate but dated. Great view of the city from our 6th floor room, and even better from the 10th floor lounge. Breakfast, buffet style, was magnificent with plenty to choose from.

Review 76:Traffic noise - so triple glazed windows had to remain closed overnight. (room on 4th floor). No outdoor space to sit. Bar underused, possibly due to its limited choice of food or drink.

Review 77:Bed very comfortable. Air con,(tho' bit noisy),room had ample storage space and very clean. Breakfast varied and plentiful. Staff helpful and friendly. Hotel is dated but not without charm.

Review 78:It's a bit far from the main attractions in Porto. The building is not charming, but again, its clean and the staff are friendly. Also, its in a nice neighborhood.

Review 79:Able to purchase parking easily, a must if you drive a car to Porto. Breakfast was better than the 5 star hotel we stayed in in Lisbon. The place was very well-maintained.

Review 80:Rooms are very outdated with old smell. Beds are very very hard. Internet was not working. Very basic 1960s hotel.

Review 81:Location was good as long as you did not think you were in the tourist area near the water.

Review 82:The decor was a bit dated in the bathrooms.

Review 83:Just about everything, staff very helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast was very satisfactory with a lot of choice and of good quality.

Review 84:Having to pay 1.5 euros a day for a key to the safe in the room. Bit of a rip off.

Review 85:God breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, short walk to main street for restaurants and shops.

Review 86:lack of maintenance of equipment: A/c of principal room dropping water... taps ... the price of the age!

Review 87:location , parking and breakfast. The room was large and with one anexe small compartment... 2 TVs...

Review 88:Everything in the hotel is very shabby. Wifi was not working in the room, and was very very slow in the lobby - it's easier to find free wifi in the city, than to use this one.

Review 89:Location in the city centre. Surprisingly good breakfast

Review 90:Location could of been a little more closer to the river. If you want right in the centre of everything, get as close to the Luis bridge as possible. Transport is not great, if you want to walk to the river like we did, it will take around 15-20 minutes. Porto is pretty safe at night we found, so don't worry about walking back late in the evening.

Review 91:I am 22 years old, but I have been lucky enough to travel the world. Porto was on my list for this summers Europe Trip with my girlfriend and I was slightly skeptical about the reviews of this hotel, but even though the hotel is a little out dated, it is perfectly fine. The staff are lovely, the rooms are suitable for a weekend in Porto. Porto is that good, we just slept in our room and ate the good breakfast they provided. Porto really is beautiful and is up there with Rome for me. The hotel provides a decent bed for the night and is in a pretty good location onto of the hill.

Review 92:Not a 4 star hotel, maybe a 2 or 3 star due to quite outdated interior, really in need of renewing.

Review 93:The staff was helpful and spoke good english. The room was very clean. Very good breakfast. The location and neighborhood is ok, 15 minutes walking to Ribeira riverside, 7-10 minutes to/from Trindade Metro Station and 10 minutes walking to/from São Bento Train Station.

Review 94:Slightly outdated interior, ugly building from outside

Review 95:Good location near Aliados (main square in the center), decent rooms and breakfast, helpful receptionist

Review 96:Double bedroom with a small single bed. Old old furniture. Air condition need a lot of time to work. Wc is bad.

Review 97:Breakfast only

Review 98:Old fashion. Poor comfort. Poor equipment. Far from deserving 4 stars. unacceptable.

Review 99:really old room and hotel

Review 100:breakfast room clean

Review 101:Location area is not the best, but the place is definitely worth it.

Review 102:Staff and breakfast

Review 103:Hotel was quite basic and decor a little tired

Review 104:Staff were wonderful and location was very good for access to all the sights and restaurants

Review 105:Convenient location (night life close), really great breakfast.

Review 106:Nice comfortable room

Review 107:room a but old

Review 108:nice staff,reasonable price.

Review 109:A plentiful breakfast, but not what I would choose.

Review 110:quiet, with friendly and helpful staff

Review 111:Tired building and decor

Review 112:Location friendly staff

Review 113:The very best hotel reception staff you could wish for. Extremely helpful and pleasant

Review 114:Furniture and interior of hotel quiet old.

Review 115:Good breakfast. Very helpful staff. Good location in center of city.

Review 116:Shower pressure not good

Review 117:Easy walk to old town

Review 118:This is not a 4 star hotel by any means. Very outdated furniture and decoration. Poor wifi connection. Breakfast too basic for 4 stars.

Review 119:Location

Review 120:breakfast

Review 121:none

Review 122:flexibility,friendly staff

Review 123:Nothing.

Review 124:Helpfulness of all staff from Front Desk right through to Chambermaids, everyone was only too anxious to make our holiday memorable.

Review 125:Hotel is conveniently located to tourist attractions. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was large, clean with tv and access to wi-fi.

Review 126:The staff were friendly and the breakfast good. Hotel was well positioned in a quiet area.

Review 127:no dislikes

Review 128:the buffet breakfast was very good and included in the price

Review 129:There were quite a few staff at the front desk, but none of the were very helpful.

Review 130:Not a 4 star hotel.

Review 131:Rooms a bit small

Review 132:Malos olores en hall y baños de cafetería

Review 133:Buena ubicación

Review 134:The breakfast room
