Reviews for Hotel Alpin Scheffau

Review 1:The pillow wasn't comfy

Review 2:The hotel was very cooperative and didn't charge me for the first night I missed, because of flight cancellation. The breakfast was very good

Review 3:Double bed was two singles with a solid wood strip in the middle. Pillows also hard to sleep on for us. Wi-fi patchy in our part of the second building.

Review 4:Good location with fine mountain views and nice facilities. Friendly staff. Tasty and varied buffets for dinner and breakfast. Evidently a good choice for families with young children, though a little noisy if you don't have kids yourself.

Review 5:We slept with the balcony door open, so therefore we could smell cigaret smoke inside our room. We were missing the aircon

Review 6:Short distance to the highway. Nice nature

Review 7:I didn't like that the road that the hotel was on was noisy and that the area was very small not a lot going on , was glad we had a car

Review 8:I liked that when we arrived I found the room a bit small as traveling with two teenagers , I asked at reception if we could upgrade as we where staying for 2 weeks it could be a bit tight and they where very helpful and gave us a much bigger room and at no extra cost

Review 9:Really expensive, room not big enough for 2 adults and 2x teenagers. First time skiing & it seemed we were the only ones ? Hotel was a bus ride away from our lessons,

Review 10:Food was good, the staff were lovely.

Review 11:- smaller bed comfort (subjective view) - larger breakfast choice would be nice

Review 12:-friendly staff -everything for a perfect winter holiday not -far away -nice austrian style -dinner incl. drinks (you can choose between bufet and pizza) - small welness area -big family room with nice view

Review 13:No bad experiences. The cost was a little high - we stayed for 1 night because our usual Ski Welt hotel couldn't accommodate us for our week's stay until the following day, and the Alpin's rate was €300 versus the other hotel's €240 for a family room and while the other hotel doesn't have a pool that isn't important to us.

Review 14:We stayed here for 1 night in a family room. The hotel was comfortable, the staff friendly and the generous food was very good. The afternoon tea was particularly welcome. It worked well for us that the family room unusually had separate areas with a door between them.

Review 15:NOTHING. WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO FAMILY & FRIENDS.

Review 16:EVERYTHING !!!! HOTEL, STAFF & FOOD ALL EXCELLENT. NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE.

Review 17:The village is beautiful, the mountains are spectacular. The Hotel is very good, staff are great, food very good too. Rooms are comfortable though far from new. Peaceful and quiet on a night. Nice pool to cool off in too.

Review 18:Very loud local entertainment during supper Rather crowded dining room

Review 19:Large bedroom Good views Good food

Review 20:Almost nothing to fault and exceptionally good value for money.

Review 21:Hotel staff so friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful and delicious. Really good value for money.

Review 22:Lovely Hotel, very Clean, very Friendly Staff

Review 23:Food, customer service, convenience for skiing

Review 24:Close proximity to plenty of activities Good family dining

Review 25:The fact that some of the staff weren't as attentive as in previous years, which spoiled things somewhat.

Review 26:The food and the relaxed atmosphere around the hotel in general.

Review 27:Not used to the level of heat everywhere in the hotel. Dining room staff facilitated us by serving us wherever we choose. Very small issue. Offered and took up the hotels offer of a special taxi return rate to Furstein of 40 euro. Tried to have it all included on the account but failed. The hotel farmed the return trip out to a local company, costing €35. Just a very small glitch in an otherwise well oiled machine. All round comment Brilliant.

Review 28:Excellent hotel, Brilliant Hosts, Superb food, Great Facilities, Excellent Location in the heart of the Village at the foot of the slopes, excellent frienly ski shop in hotel, Room 408 was what just as required, Balcony etc, great en suite facilities and comfort, extra pillows as requested etc. No request went unaddressed.. Can't see how they only score 7.4 it was a 9 in my mind. My best recommendation is that we will return and hopefully with children and grandchildren. It is a superb family hotel .

Review 29:Very slow wifi and distance from slopes but very efficient ski bus

Review 30:Everything, especially the choice of food

Review 31:Lovely hotel, large room and nice indoor pool. Very nice friendly staff. Food was excellent. Set in a quiet village with stunning views all round.
