Reviews for Strandhotel Duinheuvel
Review 1:that you had to pay separately for breakfast, which doesn't agree with the value for money you expect for a 3 star hotel
Review 2:the vicinity of the beach, the good breakfast and the comfortable bed
Review 3:The only one thing that wasn't 100% was the wifi connection, which seemed to drop quite often.
Review 4:The overall atmosphere of the hotel was exactly what we needed. Nothing too fancy but very smart, fresh and innovative. Great location and very helpful staff.
Review 5:Breakfast was not included in the price and was charged at an additional 15 Euro's per person per day. Thought that this was too much to pay for breakfast each day. No tea and coffee making facilities although you could hire a Nespresso machine at a cost of 5 Euro's and they also provided 5 Nespresso capsules.
Review 6:Parking included. Comfortable beds & nice size bathroom with both a shower and a bath. Great location. .
Review 7:The chaircase is fairly steep, so you have to be extra careful. The breakfast is fine but rather expressive especially when you have young kids.
Review 8:The location behind the dunes and easy access to the sea. The two bedrooms on the first floor were fine with a large terrace to the south and a garden table with four seats to sit outside.
Review 9:We ordered a family room which was actually a top floor house two doors down the road in what appears an old peoples' home! A run down apartment with old equipment and a very grotty terrace. For the price (145 euro + breakfast per night) they need to decorate and renew.
Review 10:The location right next to the beach and the staff were nice.
Review 11:We felt 15 Euro for breakfast was expensive. If it had been morereasonably priced we would have eaten there each morning instead ofwalking into town.
Review 12:We were able to get very good information about bus transportation, restaurants, and bike rentals from staff at the desk. They were alwaysfriendly and helpful. This hotel is in a great location near the beachand the centre of town. We loved that!
Review 13:-hard to find phone number for night staff. I had to ring the main hotel number and listen to a recorded message to track it down
Review 14:+location +charming staff +breakfast in lovely dining room
Review 15:The bed is rather small for 2 people.
Review 16:very close to the beach, nice wooden floor, great breakfast, very good Wifi, friendly staff, parking
Review 17:We had a nice relaxing time, gorgeous beach lovely hotel and exceptionel breakfast, very friendly helpfull staff.
Review 18:Dekens zijn te warm, synthetisch
Review 19:Prima kamer en leuk openbaar zitje. Zou hier zeker terugkomen
Review 20:big painting behind bed small tv
Review 21:friendly staff. location
Review 22:Hotel seems to be halfway through a refurbishment, lots of incomplete areas and our room was unfinished.
Review 23:Amazing breakfast, good location
Review 24:Breakfast in Domburg village was better & cheaper ( "Verdi's")
Review 25:Room was good
Review 26:Everything. We had a Comfort Plus room and it was outstanding!
Review 27:If you do not like noise ask for a room upstairs or away from reception area. As the rooms next to reception you can hear everything.
Review 28:Location excellent 1 minute to the beach and few minutes walk to village and the staff very nice and helpful. Hotel also has it's own car park.
Review 29:Breakfast was excellent but a little expensive for a family when €15 per person.
Review 30:Excellent location, private parking at side of hotel, directly by beach for easy access and modern clean room. Recommend the comfort plus for space and bathroom layout. Friendly staff who speak a little English.
Review 31:The balcony/terrace (including the furniture) was DIRTY when we arrived. Street noise at night can be disturbing. Not enough parking spaces for all guests & the hotel does not inform you about that beforehand, just says "free parking on site, no reservation needed"!!!
Review 32:Good location, decent breakfast and free parking.
Review 33:Very friendly, happy and helpful staff. Spacious rooms in 'beach' style, white blue and wood. Excellent breakfast buffet. Good parking facilities and perfect location.
Review 34:For a double room, I'd expect a bit more soap and taking into account the room's price a shaving kit or a comb is to be expected. Though not the hotel's fault at all, it would be great if the many germans in the hotel would educate their kids at least a bit more.
Review 35:Very spacious and clean room and very friendly and helpfull staff. We had a very nice stay, I'd surely come back!
Review 36:The architecture of the hotel is weird and their price policy. We got asmall room for apparently the highest price possible. Did we make amistake or was this on purpose?
Review 37:Location and Breakfast
Review 38:I found it expensive. The hotel has no facilities - no bar orrestaurant. The room we stayed in was in need of a lick of paint, andthe carpet was stained. I expected a bit more for 150 euros a night.
Review 39:The location is good, very near the beach, and close to the centre ofthe village. Breakfast is excellent, with a very varied buffet.
Review 40:Having commented positively on the size of the shower I have to say thatoverall the bathroom was rather small and cramped. We had to ask forEnglish tea bags every morning at breakfast which was a bit frustrating. But, these are minor niggles compared to the positives.
Review 41:This was our second stay at this hotel and it was just as good as weremembered. We had a room (17) on the top floor with balcony and seaviews. The room was very spacious, the beds were comfy, the shower washuge and there were armchairs to relax in. As the weather wasn't greatwe appreciated the thermostatic radiator which provided heat when weneeded it. The breakfast wasn't hugely varied but there was plenty of itand perfect for the speciality tea drinker and the brekfast room doublesas an art gallery so plenty to look at. If you can get a space in thecar park it's reasonably secure. There is no bar (although plenty ofchoice within 5 mins walk) but the rooms do have minibars.
Review 42:The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely. Something to look forward to every morning. Rooms clean and tidy.
Review 43:Parking very tight
Review 44:The staff Location Town
Review 45:Bathroom (too) small, though functional and clean
Review 46:We stayed in a superior room and liked everything, extremely good breakfast!
Review 47:De kamer was voor de prijs aan de kleine kant.
Review 48:Breakfast Quiet room Shower design
Review 49:Because we complained about the noise of dog in room next to ours they upgraded us which was very nice!
Review 50:Friendly welcome, nice atmosphere, sumptuous breakfast.
