Reviews for Hotel Costa Caddu

Review 1:its about 10 minutes drive from central San teodoro

Review 2:We loved the bar man Pasqualino!!! he was so nice and made us feel so welcome. All the staffs were excellent, nice place with good view and nice swimming pool. we had such a great time there!

Review 3:Diner plan was expenive.

Review 4:Nice little comfortable rooms in a cottage setting all ground floor. Perfect location, near beach and San Teodoro but still in a quiet area.Beautifull landscaping, well kept.

Review 5:Basically no wifi except next to the reception.loading pages could take for minutes and checking emails was quite a challange to the connection and to your nerves. no phone connection mostly possible from inside of the room although i had an italian mobile. then one of the biggest issiues for me was breakfast. if you are a vegetarian like myself u might not be pleased with the fruit selection. for example melons were completly missing and eventually some exotic fruits aswell. there were grapes some plumes and peaches. ah yeah and from time to time some strange bananas.

Review 6:Very nice Staff, always helpfull although the language barrier could sometimes be a problem.either way excellent staff all around. especially the cook was fantastic and excellent food all around.very clean facility towels get changed each day even if you do not request that. also the room is constantly cleaned and if you are a messy person your stuff will be placed in a orderly way easy for you to find :) we also lost one day our photocamera and about 400 euros in it and we were starting to panic but the next day it was found by the staff and not even 1 cent missing. also due to the positioning of the complex (it is quite a bit away from the village center of San Teodoro) every second night there was live music from a very talented lady.

Review 7:There is no wifi at this hotel. It worked once in 5 days for 10 minutes. They shouldn't advertise wifi and I got a sense that was normal. The restraurant wasn't the best especially for the price you pay - antipasto was good but the entrees weren't made with fresh ingredients. Since it was very expensive for Sardinia I would have expected better quality. You'll need a car also, which was no problem for us.

Review 8:Nice beach close by, clean, nice pool. Staff were very nice.

Review 9:The free bikes on offer were all mens mountain bikes ...which lead to an uncomfortable ride for women! The hotel is quite a way out of San Teodoro, so a car is essential. Not easy to find in the dark , either!!

Review 10:The pool is beautiful and quiet - not a water chutein sight!! The grounds are beautifully landscaped. Beautiful views from the dining area. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice including fresh fruit. Excellent beaches within walking distance.

Review 11:entertainer in the lobby singing until 12 in the night. reception refused to stop him arguing it was weekend (we had tuesday). we couldnt get any sleep. very noisy gardening on the next day for 4 hours in the morning. with the exception of the bartender, the staff felt demotivated and unfriendly.

Review 12:The hotel is well maintained, got a nice pool and nice relaxation area. rooms all have a garden.

Review 13:Possibly slightly too far out of San Teodoro but if you have a car, which I would always recommend in Sardinia anyway, it's not too muchof an issue unless of course, you want to drink. We loved the peace andtranquiliity of the place but we were only there for 4 days, otherpeople may find it too quiet. There were two wedding receptions on whilewe were there and I did get the sense that guests were slightly pushedto one side when these events were taking place. Breakfast was adequatebut a bit too much white bread for my liking and no wholemeal options, just a bit of rye bread. You can order eggs but I saw no option forbacon, sausage etc which some British visitors may like. Cereals onoffer were a bit refined for my liking but I have come to expect this inEuropean hotels.

Review 14:Well maintained, peaceful hotel. Low rise with the rooms all being onthe ground floor with a very pleasant garden and patio area for eachroom. Rooms were a generous size as were the bathrooms. Not high endluxury but perfectly acceptable. Fresh pool/beach towels providedevery day which is a nice touch and saves on packing. Excellent standardof cleanliness. Gardens very well maintained and add to the pleasantatmosphere. Reception staff were really good - we had a Finnish ladymanning the reception for the duration of our stay and her spokenEnglish was excellent and she helped us sort out a few issues whilst wewere there. Hotel has lovely views but would probably be a bit quiet ifyou were staying for more than a week with teenagers for example, so Iwouldn't recommend it for families with older children necessarily.Great beach just 2 minutes drive away with a car park and super beachbar and sun beds to hire which are worth paying for as they are verycomfortable and you are not bothered as much by the hawkers if you arein that section of the beach.

Review 15:We were unable to get any useable wifi access.

Review 16:We really enjoyed our stay and would visit again. Rooms were spacious clean and comfortable with a lovely outdoor patio area. We had a sea/pool view The gardens and pool were beautiful and immaculate, with lots of shrubbery to maintain privacy. Beaches nearby were really busy in August, but we had a car and were able to explore and find beaches further afield which were less crowded. Staff were really friendly and evening meals were a highlight. A delicious traditional buffet followed by a good choice of 2 further courses and a dessert.

Review 17:Nil.

Review 18:Everything!!! You can see why it was voted in the top 100 hotelsin in Italy.

Review 19:Beautiful pool area. Very well kept and attractive gardens. Loads of outdoor space. Lovely terrace and public areas

Review 20:The wifi was very slow

Review 21:Excellent staff and facilities

Review 22:lovely hotel with great rooms.

Review 23:The beds were awful - very hard, even my husband who is easily pleased didn't like the bed

Review 24:We loved the location, the friendly staff

Review 25:Excellent all round. Good food, lovely staff and impressively well kept gardens, in spite of high summer temperatures. Highly commendable.

Review 26:Clam, pool

Review 27:What a gem, not sure I want to share the secret! Beautiful grounds, fantastic staff, excellent food.

Review 28:The location (you need a car) and the breakfast

Review 29:The views, the pool area, friendly staff

Review 30:Wifi was slow or not available, which is disturbing sometimes, if you want to check out a few things online. The hotel is a bit remoted from San Teodoro, but the road is a good quality one (with speed bumps however). The child seats were not 100% safe in our oppinion (possibility to slide out), so we had to use a sling to fix him in the chair. These type of chairs we have seen in a lot of restaurant in Sardinia. No mosquito net is installed in the hotel rooms, however after sunset there are lots of them around, so we could not keep open the door after 9 pm.

Review 31:The staff was very friendly and have tried to help us every time we needed help. We have travelled with a 11 month child for 2 weeks in June and we were very satisfied with the accommodation overall. The breakfast was great (mainly sweet things however - Italian style), the hotel lobby and around the pool offers a lot of space for kids, especially with the very well designed beautiful garden. We were provided with extra tovels every day also for the pool extra ones. The rooms are airconditioned. The dinner was great as well and very tasty, but we could not enjoy it so often, because our son was too small for the dinning at late times (the dinner time started at 7:30 pm). The San Teodoro beaches are great and not far away with a car (rental is a must here). And again the staff was very-very kind, espescially to our child, which was a great plus for us. Thank you for the great time once again!

Review 32:The approach to the hotel can easily put you off. It is down a long, unkempt road which had various stray dogs wandering about on it when we arrived.

Review 33:The staff at the hotel were absolutely fantastic and couldn't have been lovelier to us and particularly to our baby son. The Sardinians love babies!

Review 34:A little bit remote from the centre of San Teodoro so a car was essential to get to all the local beaches, attractions etc.

Review 35:The hotel was spotlessly clean, staff very friendly and the quality of the food was excellent.

Review 36:Staff in restaurant speaks very very little English (neither German, nor French). With the dinner already too late (at 19.30), the restaurant opened sometimes half an hour late. Serving at breakfast is sluggish. Beautiful location but a car is a must. Slow wifi.

Review 37:Hotel area is beautiful and well-cared for. Good atmosphere, calm, excellent for relaxation and with children. Swimming pool is great. Beautiful views from roof terrace and the swimming pool area. Food is nice with great variety. Restaurant is very nice with great view over the sea. Spaciaous parking area. Good children's playground.

Review 38:No internet available in room, wireless access only available in hotel lobby.

Review 39:Fabulous! Room with a sea view was fabulous; comfortable, clean, nice outdoor patio w/furniture. All staff friendly and helpful, spoke very good English. Pool and bar/patio area excellent, nighttime entertainment was a plus, very kid friendly, lovely landscaped grounds. Local beaches rent chairs and umbrellas, get there early in season. Very convenient to San Teodoro and superb, crystal clear water beaches, very convenient to restaurants and shops, easy drive (car recommended) from Olbia, easy drive to visit Porto Cervo in the north of the island. Highly recommend this hotel! Room 102 had the best sea view in my opinion, easy access to lobby, bar, pool, dining room. Breakfast buffet was very good, eggs cooked upon demand, excellent coffee, restaurant was clean and lovely view of the sea. Did not eat dinner there but menu was very complete. Recommend nearby Salsero pizzeria and restaurant just before entering San Teodoro on the left.

Review 40:In the evenings we found the shower water not hot enough.

Review 41:We took the halfboard option. Food was varied and of very good quality. The accommodation was set in spacious grounds and the pool/pool areawas clean and well cared for. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room wasspacious. Would return again.

Review 42:The location is remote. You need a car to go somewhere else. San Teodoro is a nice place to visit once. I did not like the presence of the gardener big dog at the property. It did not bother me before the dog came to our terrace, sticking his head into the room, looking for either food or company, just did not feel safe. I heard other guests did not like the dog too because of the kid's allergy.

Review 43:The white sandy beach 5 min down the road. The food, the pool, the service. Good place to be for 4,5 days to see around the area. A lot of nice beaches around. 40 min from the airport.

Review 44:no air con in our room as broken - v hot, only got fan on last day. with 2 children very difficult for naps in the heat!

Review 45:lovely surroundings good food

Review 46:Nothing to go at a town at 5km, only used and only for men bicycle.

Review 47:the quiet place, ground floor room, nice garden

Review 48:reception staff not always friendly or helpful.

Review 49:quiet child friendly location breakfast buffet

Review 50:the time where you could not get a coffee/water/food - between 10am and 12noon.

Review 51:beautiful views, great layout

Review 52:Location although hire car essential. Friendly yet professional service Good food

Review 53:lovely friendly staff, very relaxing, very quiet and superb food
