Review 1：no flexible hose in shower, two tabs in the sink - too hot and too cold, it is not comfortable.
Review 2：We liked a lot of green plants, it is like living in the garden; children's playground, swimming pool, the feeling you are alone in the motel though there are lots of other guests.

Review 4：As some people wrote before the appartment is quite old-fashioned, but it didn't bother us at all. The room was very spacious and it was clean everywhere. We especially liked the private little terrace looking into trees and the green Garden. It was a quiet location, the owners are very friendly and had good tips what to do. Its a very nice place to stay.

Review 10：Loved the setting, cosy warm rooms. Use of spa pool was awesome after a busy day. Rob and Lynn were fantastic, very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

Review 23：Simply said, it's a well run, 'old style' (in a good way) facility. The owners were friendly, helpful and accommodating in every way. I especially appreciated what seemed like an extra 'sparkle' on everything. Also a very quite and peaceful setting.

Review 31：Rob and Lynn were so helpful in picking me up, suggesting things to do, arranging tours. The unit was spotless with everything I needed. I booked for 1 night but ended up staying 4 as it felt like a second home.

Review 33：Rubbish was in my pantry from last quest, we were situated where the main road was so loud, owner took forever to check me in , bacon was not cooked properly for breakfastt and only selection of spreads was jam , pretty poor

Review 36：Accommodating proprietor, informed us on facilities available to us while we stay at the hotel. The room was comfortable and adequate. Very quiet and peaceful just what the doctor ordered. Nice stay.
Review 37：The home cooked food in the motel restaurant. The landlady takes your order over the bedroom phone and tells you what time to arrive at the restaurant for your food which was fab. We had steak and lamb chops and both were fantastic with lovely veg and potatoes. Would highly recommend.

Review 42：Upon our arrival my family and I felt unwelcome instantly especially when the old lady at the reception said we paid more booking via booking.com but wouldn't tell their rate . The motel is no way close to its name "paradise". bathroom is very small, toilet smelled, no new rolls of toilet paper. Rude owner( we were told off because we moved and joined two very small table to have family dinner) and unhelpful when we told them our shower had cold water as i stood there in cold with shampoo. He claimed we used up all the hot water and after discovering that the pug was out he blaimed the previous guests must have been playing with it, hence i had to walk over to the next room in cold to finish my shower. No compensation was offered. Spa old, dirty not in a usable condition but yet it was open for guests. Pool wasn't heated as well. Wifi doesn't work. Never going back nor recommending to anyone.

Review 44：There wasn't enough hot water for two showers. When we expressed our disappointment/surprise, the response we got was "There is sufficient hot water for 18 minutes". And no apology. What the? We have never stayed in a motel where the hot water was limited so precisely. One of us has Parkinsons and therefore takes longer to shower. A little heads up would have been great! Won't be back sorry.
Review 45：The grounds were nice and the location was good. However $117 for one room and bath seemed a little high compared to other motels we have stayed at in the area.
Review 46：We stayed in a studio unit which was the perfect size for a couple on a weekend fishing trip from Whakatane. The one night stay cost less than $110 and the owners very kindly let us check in early and check out late as they had no other booking for the room. The big bed was very comfortable and the kitchen, though small, perfectly appointed. The room was immaculate. The motel is conveniently located within a few minutes' drive to both the little town center of Turangi and the river. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to recommend Anglers Paradise-
Review 47：3 people room, max. shower went cold after 1.5 people. Owner tested water, not up to range but wouldn't turn cylinder up. Made excuses & implied we must have long showers! 3 min each & still went cold. 3rd person no shower after a day on the snow. & no spa as was broken.
