Pension Sky View sells fast on our site. Pension Sky View offers affordable Western-style accommodations. Guests can sit out at the benches in the spacious terrace, which overlooks the Miyanoura area. A free shuttle is available from Miyanoura Port, which is a 5-minute drive away and from Yakushima Airport, a 15-minute drive away.
The air-conditioned rooms feature a desk and a flat-screen TV. Japanese Yukata robes and toothbrush sets are provided for all guests. The en suite bathroom comes with free amenities.

Review 2：Close to Miyanoura Port. Owner is also very helpful. He picks us up at the port and also organises car rental for us. Car rental can be anytime you want and calculated by 6, 10, 12 or 24 hours block. Owner is very accomodating. On the day we joined a hiking tour at 5am, owner also kindly swap our breakfast into a bento box. Highly recommended.
Review 3：Location was a bit problematic but with the free rides and the nice view it worth it
Review 4：The hotel manager was great, we got a free upgrade to a nice Japanese room with sea view as soon as we arrived. Our two young daughters got a lot of attention from the staff and also a lot of treats. Beside the yogurt, sweets and toys, they even went and bought her Hello kitty slippers to match her size :) The manager was very helpful with providng information about transportation and even drove us to the bus station. In the last day after the checkout, he knew our departure ferry time and came to meet us and return my daughter's lost plastic ring we forgot in the room. This was definitely the best service I got in Japan so far!
Review 5：(More like advice than a complaint…) They made a lovely breakfast for us but it would be amazing if they offered a light dinner, as well, even at an extra cost. Many of the local eateries are not very close by and they stop serving food promptly at 9pm, making it difficult to get back to the Pension after a day trip and still get to food, as the Pension is up the hill a bit and not in the center of town (buses can be accurately timed but sporadic in the evening, up to an hour apart). The lady at the Pension is a lovely cook and we would have happily paid extra for a dinner if offered.
Review 6：The staff were so sweet and thoughtful. The owner drove us to the port for our ferry and many good suggestions for food and things to see, also providing local maps and info on bus passes. Their traditional homestyle breakfast was ample and nourishing. The owner also organized a viewing of the Tanegashima rocket launch from the patio and provided access to bento boxes for our day trips. They were very kind!
Review 7：There was a little cafeteria which serves breakfast and dinner. The food is good but do remember to make a request or you would have to walk quite a distance to the next restaurant

Review 11：Very nice owner, who tries to be helpful where ever he can, despite limited English. Bus stop is less than 10 minutes away by foot - considering that many people come to Yakushima for hiking, this is absolutely fine, and this small distance to the busy road makes the hotel very quiet and relaxing.
Review 12：The beds are a bit old you can feel the springs abit not enough to not go. it's still worth it, especially if you're hiking.

Review 17：The owners were amazing and super helpful. The room was absolutely clean and we had nothing to complain about.
Review 18：We stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed it. The room was new, very clean and had a bathtub. And the host couple was very friendly. They made us feel like home. The owner helped us a lot in booking our "one day group tour." He even took us back to the ferry port when we left. You can overlook Miyanoura Port directly from spacious roof terrace with great views over the sea. On a clear night sky, you can see stars from this rooftop terrace at midnight. Pension is right on the bus line which is the way to get around Yakushima Island. It's about 10 minutes walk to the bus stop. (called "High School Front") Also, it's less than 10 minutes walk to two convenience stores, and 15 minutes walk to a large supermarket. (called "A-Coop") We had breakfast and dinner, and it was very yummy and healthy; we highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back again soon for sure.

Review 20：The owner was very friendly and helpful. Alhough he speaks only little english he tried to communicate with us. He explained us about the japanese eating culture. He organized our lunch boxes and when we left he drove us even to the port. Also the room was big for japanese standard. We enjoied our stay very much!
Review 21：They have their own restaurant in the hotel and provide plain japanese food which I liked much. Shy but kind baldy owner ^^. You can see star dust at terrace if weather is fine.
