Review 4:The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable and the staff was friendly. It was only a 10 minute walk to both the central square and Viana's waterfront.
Review 5:No proper lounge. Problem when weather was poor. No air conditioning or hairdryer in bathroom.
Review 6:extremely clean, good breakfast. Proprietor very helpful.
Review 7:The room was in cosy traditional style. It was clean and warm. The people who run the hotel are extremely open and nice and will make your stay enjoyable. It is also set in great location if you want to explore the city.
Review 8:The location was excellent close to the main road into Viana and an easy walk in to town which is a lovely town to walk around with nice friendly people. The host was a very nice man who spoke good English and was very attentive. We ticked the box on booking.com for quiet rooms - which we got but really don't think there could be much noise at the front rooms. There are also rooms with balconies / terraces for smokers. Very comfortable.
Review 9:Right on the outskirts close to a main road and railway station-be sure to get a room at the back-we did, so slept very well.
Review 10:Very small hotel but with a charming host who spoke good English and advised us on what too see(actually there really isn't much) Very good value
Review 11:The size of the shower in my bathroom was so small that a overweighted person would have problem taking a shower.
Review 12:A god hotel with a very nice owner. He could give answers to everything about the town.
Review 13:No air conditioning which was difficult as could open windows at night to sleep as near a main road and a train track. But would still recommend it.
Review 14:Good building and very clean
Review 15:The staff was very friendly and suggested some places to see in the city. They gave us a nice room with a balcony where you can spend some time relaxing.
Review 16:Quiet room (at the rear). Easy parking.
Review 17:Noise from road in some rooms.

Review 21:No remarks
Review 22:The rooms were excellent. Friendly owners. Nice terrace. Good breakfast.
Review 23:Having to set off in the pouring rain in the morning where there was a cobbled road outside. Also not being told, as we had just travelled over from Spain, that the clocks go back an hour.
Review 24:Very friendly and helpful staff. Let us park our motorbike outside front door where it could be viewed by the night reception. Lovely room overlooking the train lines but noise was not a problem. Within easy access of town centre with a lovely walk by the river. The receptionist recommended a fish restaurant which was excellent.
Review 25:Good location close to tourist attractions. Very kind host, explained must be and must see places, help to print out air plain tickets. Good breakfast, fast internet. Parking place for car. Good value for money.
Review 26:Nothing.

Review 28:Don't know.
Review 29:Very friendly staff! Any questions he will help you out and he speaks his languages. Good internet connection! Clean and tidy rooms with balcony. Very comfortable!
Review 30:Friendly host with lot of tips about the surrounding, a few minutes walk from the centre of Viana. Easy to find, parking near the hotel. At the back of the hotel quiet and clean rooms.
Review 31:It can be somewhat noisy. Trains, cars, church bells. We were there during the festival (noisy anyway), but as soon as a quieter room was available, the proprietor moved us.
Review 32:The hotel is clean, in a good location, with parking and breakfast etc. Extremely helpful staff, that made a big difference. We enjoyed it.
Review 33:We were offered a quieter downstairs room but chose to take an upstairs room which had better light. We knew it would have some road noise which didn't bother us but if you are a light sleeper you would be better off with the rooms away from the road.
Review 34:The staff were helpful, good wifi connection, good breakfast and convenient for catching an early morning train.
Review 35:Right on a busy main road with the railway line just beyond. Howeverwith the shutters closed the noise was not a problem as it was not hot.Perhaps it would be more difficult in high summer as there is no airconditioning.
Review 36:Good value for money, easy car parking and close to the town centre. Wehad requested a balcony and when we realised the hotel was on the mainroad and might be noisy they immediately offered us a room at the back.
Review 37:Breakfast was very basic. It could have been improved just by providing 2 types of cereal and some fruit or yogurt
Review 38:The personal service provided by the manager/owner?.He was happy to try and help with anything we needed while staying at his hotel.
Review 39:Hotel was not in good location. Not 24 hour front desk. Rooms smelled badly. It was like walking into 1978. City was beautiful but for 40 euro a night in Portugal this place was definitely not worth it.
Review 40:Not much. All right breakfast.
Review 41:The ability of, after running Viana's half marathon, under heavy rain and wind, make a late checkout and have the possibility of having a nice hot bath under a strong 3bar shower. The free wifi available all over the place.
Review 42:Nothing
