Review 1：The owners were very kind and helpful. Very clean and well decorated property. Walking distance to the town and market. Our room was very comfortable. One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Would go back again.
Review 2：The only really unfortunate thing was that the soundproofing between the floors was less good which could conceivably be a problem if you have noisy co-guests.

Review 7：We stayed at the Porta Marina for only one night on our way to the Cinque Terre. The hosts were welcoming and accommodating. Our room was immaculate and the bathroom was right out of a magazine – beautiful. We enjoyed our day in Ventimiglia and would love to spend more time there. If we do, we’ll definitely book a room here. The Porta Marina was a great little place.

Review 11：Beautifully, stylishly and freshly renovated. Very pleasant and helpful owners. Fantastic location close to the sea and old town.
Review 12：the heat in the rooms. No air condition, apparently we came during an unusual heatwave. It was almost impossible to sleep, it was a bit better with the windows open, but the noise was also pretty bad. The fact that breakfast didn't offer ham or salami, but the host explained that.
Review 13：The friendly hosts, free water bottles in the fridge. Breakfast was sweet only, but as a b&b they are not allowed to serve ham, cheese and eggs. Got a bowl of fresh strawberries on the first day. Very stylish rooms.

Decorations very tasteful mix of new and old. Owner very friendly and helpful, available for any concerns (not living at the property). Easy walk into either old or new town. Makes a great stopover during travels.
Review 17：We arrived incredibly late at night due to train delays but were received well and made welcome. It's up a hill, so get a taxi from the station if you arrive late like us. Otherwise walkable. The views are stunning. The owner and his family were so very pleasant to meet. A big thank you.
Review 18：Paula has a beautiful sytle of seamlessly incorporating the old building with modern. The rooms are beautiful and spotless. Breakfast was very nice and we had fun trying to communicate with the host as she speaks Italian and French and we do not ( very well). We were very pleased with our stay.

Review 24：The place was a bit hard to find and parking is on the road about a block away, though spots always available. The staff were wonderful, helpful and genuinely nice people. One small problem was that they only spoke French and Italian, with a touch of English; however, somehow we got through everything important.

The food was excellent and the hosts were unbelievably helpful and generous. We would definitely stay there again.

Review 71：This place is a little gem and well worth the short walk uphill. The design and decor of the rooms and the breakfast area are exquisite. Very friendly multi-lingual staff who got up at 6am to get us breakfast before our very early departure.
