Reviews for Tagus Village

Review 1:Super friendly and professional staff, there to take care of all your needs. Amazing ambience. Unbelievable views of the North Bank of the Tagus River (Lisbon). Had spectacular sushi at Sushic, the restaurant located in the premises. Breakfast in the morning was also excellent, with fresh, quality products and good variety. Since this is a small hotel, it feels cosy and intimate. We felt really well taken care of. 10/10, would stay again.

Review 2:A bit hard to find, but worth the effort. We had to ask a taxi driver for directions.

Review 3:Staff were great! Sushi fabulous in the dining room!! Wonderful views and of course spotless.

Review 4:Everything in Tagus village was first class and the location was ideal for us but if you want to spend most of your time in Lisbon itself then be aware that Tagus village is on the other side of the river.

Review 5:The view from the property was just magnificent. The staff were so welcoming it was more like staying in someone's home. Fabulous property and fabulous staff. If you stay here you MUST try the sushi restaurant. It was wonderful

Review 6:There was nothing bad about our stay.

Review 7:Everything about our stay was outstanding! The room was beautiful, lovely big comfortable bed, immaculate bathroom and fresh fruit and water. Aircon unit was a bit noisy but no problem for us. The breakfast was amazing, fresh orange juice, lovely coffee, pastries, egg, bacon! The grounds are beautiful, pool is saltwater and view is unbeatable! Little dogs running around which were sweet. Evening meal was delicious, puddings were fantastic, no complaints about anything!

Review 8:The location opposite to Belem/Lisbon is perfect. Just take the boat (when you do not have a car) in the morning and you are in Lisbon/Belem. The boat is perfectly easy. The breakfast is one of the best we ever had.

Review 9:Second visit and not the last, few changes since last year. SUSHIC restaurant moved in, great food. Beautiful location, friendly staff and owners, small scale, personal approach, nicely decorated

Review 10:Locks on the doors need to be updated as it was a little difficult to open some doors. Directions to the resort are a little sketchy. Needs to be signed better.

Review 11:The staff there are simply amazing and extremely accommodating. Couldn't have asked for better service. Pool is great, helicopter ride was fantastic and the view of Lisboa is stunning. Great place, great people!

Review 12:Location = perfect > quite and view at Taag and Lissabon = marvellous !!! Breakfast = high quality and much !!! Swimmingpool = magnificant !!! Owner = very sympathic and helpfull !!! Staff = excellent !!!

Review 13:The distance to lissabon village was to far. To expensive.

Review 14:The breakfast was good. People were nice, but they couldn't give us good advice where to go to have dinner in lissabon city. They advised us to go to the tourist area. Sushi is good!

Review 15:picture in the room, too much dogs (3)

Review 16:perfect location with wonderful view on the tejo and the bridge off 25.April, , very friendly staff, pool and garden, very good breakfast and dinner on the terrace, very quiet, an oasis of peace, calm and luxury

Review 17:Bad wifi coverage and very low internet speed (this will be improved though). Without a (rental) car you can not do much, but there is public transportation quite close.

Review 18:Very personal service by the owners, e.g. transport to train station, specific meals, etc. Excellent view, excellent food.

Review 19:Impossible to find without telephone directions of owner. Make sure you have their telephone number at hand! No closet in room (Ocean Suite) to put your clothes in. You have to ring at the main building for every question you have. When we checked out it appeared that the pool towels we had used during our stay were not free of charge. Food & beverages were relatively expensive.

Review 20:Personalized service, pool facilities, very good breakfast, friendliness of owner and staff, the cataplana (local dinner dish) they serve. Location is 20 minutes drive from centre of Lisbon. Very quiet.

Review 21:Only a minor gripe, and probably our own fault! We struggled to find the house several times during our stay. But the trouble taken to find the location is worth it for the peace and quiet once arrived!

Review 22:The house is located overlooking the Tagus river and Lisbon. The views are lovely. Owners and staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The pool area was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and the owners even offer dinner as an option (provided by a local restaurant).

Review 23:Amazing views of Lisbon, owners were brilliant very friendly and very helpful would definatly not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to others. 10 out of 10 easy

Review 36:Absolutely the most wonderful haven I have ever stayed in. It's a real treat.

Review 37:Since it is a true getaway, getting here would be best with your own caror by taxi. Local transport is doable but you need some time and ittakes a few transfers (metro, boat, tram) - definitely worth it though.

Review 38:A perfect setting for a perfect getaway. The villa has the mostincredible views of Lisbon from across the river, and as the sun set thescene was even more spectacular. The family who owns and runs the villawas very warm and welcoming, we felt like we were apart of the family! Our stay was so relaxing, lazing by the pool and soaking up the sun. Forthose who need something to do, the beach/ocean is nearby. I wouldsay this place is truly a hidden gem.

Review 39:I didn't like having to leave! I am not sure what one could not like of this awesome Quinta. The only obstacle is that a car would be best to go to and from the Quinta. However if you wish u can use a Taxi or even walk to the local tram and make it to the main train services.

Review 40:The comfort and tranquility within reach of the city of Lisbon. I had business in Cascais one late evening and returned to my haven within 22min. It provides a home like environment away from home. The views are spectacular and stars are within reach in the evening as you wind down after a busy day with glass of wine or even a meal if you wish to stay in and order. Overall my young teenage daughter loved the grounds and could spend the day with ease using the facilities. I will most definitely make this my home away from home when in Lisbon.

Review 41:Wifi reception good be better, only available in breakfast area.

Review 42:Really friendly people, great breakfast, good beds, amazing location and view. Really quiet site, but just 15 minutes from Lisbon by car. Nice spacious room and bathroom. It's a small accommodation with a few rooms available. A location to go back to!!

Review 43:Difficult to find at night. Car essential. Noisy air con unit

Review 44:Very peaceful. Total escapism. Breathtaking views across river to Lisbon city. Breakfast first class. very friendly owner. Bedding top quality and spacious room

Review 45:We lived in a 12 square meters room with two-story bed, air conditioning was very loud, we had to turn it off, so at night it was very hot and stuffy.

Review 46:The amazing environment of the hotel, swimming pool, garden, river, nice view. Very helpful friendly staff. Great food for breakfast, and if you order dinner. Convenient to departing Lisbon Old Town.

Review 47:Unique location has a downside in finding it from the address details provided.

Review 48:Very attractively designed rooms and facilities. Lovely grounds and pool with very impressive views across Tagus to Lisbon.Unique location. Authentic local meals. Very helpful proprietors .

Review 49:Nothing within the control of the hotel or hosts. There was a rockconcert in Belem across the river on the second night and the music wasvery loud till 3 am which disturbed my night quite badly and it was ashame because it had been such a peaceful place the night before.

Review 50:The location is stunning - fabulous views over to Lisbon, beautifulhouse and rooms, gorgeous garden and swimming pool. Wonderfullywelcoming, friendly and supportive hosts and staff. Couldn't havewanted a better first night in Portugal / Lisbon. The dinner theyprepared for us was absolutely fantastic and it was a fabulous privatedining experience looking across to the twinkling lights of Lisbonacross the river.

Review 51:There was nothing to dislike

Review 52:Wonderful, welcoming, family run, stunning location, overlooking countryside and Lisbon.(only a 10 minute car and 10 minute ferry ride away). Overlooking garden and Lisbon, the breakfast was excellent, using local produce.Attention to detail overall was first class..
