Review 1：The hotel itself is excellent with convenient parking, little unlucky because got a room with a small narrow window, a bit dark. The historic center far away 10-15 minutes relaxed walk
Review 2：Above my room was very noisy and dogs outside barking. Also called for an extra blanket and it never arrived.

Review 6：The bed was AWFUL. Did not get much sleepl. (Important when walking alot). Bed was very hard (along with the pillows). Also the plastic mattress cover was very noisy, so we kept waking each other up when we moved. There was no hot food at breakfast.

Large en suite rooms well equipped and with a/c, good sound proofing and the best black out curtains we have ever had. Slimline TV with various language channels. Reasonable if rather bland continental buffet breakfast.

About 10 minute walk from Medieval centre and all sights of Guimaraes. Reception staff charming and incredibly helpful and knowledgable regarding sights to visit.Many restaurants and bars close by if you do not wish to walk into the old centre.Breakfast very good with choice of fresh fruits , breads , pastries , cheese ,ham etc. Also hot option of bacon and scrambled eggs. We had absolutely no problem with WiFi whilst we were there.

He quickly checked us in and gave us our room key making a note to call us early in the morning to ensure we had adequate time to be ready for an appointment. The following morning a very pleasant receptionist greeted us on checkout. The staff at the hotel were very personable and polite. The hotel was spotlessly clean with a very nice bathroom. We will return when we are next in town as we were shown around the town by car before heading off for a meeting. what a lovely town it is.

We tried everything but it kept coming onspontaneously eventually taking the temperature to 30 and rising. At 4amI roused a half dressed night person who after various experiments saidthere was a fault but he could not correct it. At my suggestion (andonly at my suggestion) he gave us another room and told us all would be'sorted out' with us in the morning. He could not have been morewrong. On check out there was no apology - just a demand for the fullprice of the room. When we challenged this the receptionist startedshouting and pointing at a Booking.com certificate showing 8.7. We askedto speak to a supervisor - we were told there was none. We asked for theManager - we were told he was at a reunion. We offered a part paymentfor the two hours sleep we had had - it was refused. We left withoutpresenting a credit card, entering a pin, or signing and yet behind ourbacks the full amount was still deducted from us. This is againstBooking.com policy. In the room move we also lost some possessions whichthe hotel now deny all knowledge of. We have complained to Booking.comwho asked the hotel to give us a refund but they refused. We have had noapology or even a gesture of goodwill whatsoever. You have been warned.

Review 114：This modern hotel is a short walk to the center of historical Guimaraes and the train station. The rooms are relatively large and even if you have a room facing the busy street, the double glazed windows and air con keep the noise out. The room and bathroom are contemporary, except for the small, old TV (but there is so much to see and do in Guimaraes that I doubt you will watch TV very much). There is underground, free parking (it is a bit hard to go down the ramp) that is great to keep your car out of the hot sun in the summer months. The staff es exceptionally helpful and friendly. We originally were going to stay only one night, but decided on two and went to Porto by train the second day. That is a great option as the station is not far, the tickets are cheap, and you avoid the hassle of driving and parking in Porto. I would stay here again for sure. Be sure you take the time to visit the old city.
