Review 1:Not really a minus, but: I had my towels changed every day, which was not really necessary (even if I left them on the towel rack as suggested). Same for the towel for the swimming pool area. The hotel is a little outside from Lisbon, so travellers should be aware that they will need a car or a taxi to reach the city (about 20 minutes). Same if you want to go to the beach (5 minutes by bus).

Review 2:Nice and comfortable room. Varied breakfast with some good ocean sights from the club area. Superb swimming pool, very clean and fully functional. Staff friendly and helpful, very well prepared for all kinds of requests. Staff at the swimming pool is amazing! The reception staff was helpful with giving information on local transport, sightseeing ect.

Review 5:The bathroom need a little update, especially around the bathtub , bathrobe are most welcome in the rooms , specially when there's a Spa&swimming-pool to enjoy . I stay 5 days in this hotel with half-board pension , but will never do it again . BF was fine ( nothing special) but the dinner meal was a catastrophe. Very poor choice for the starter and every single night we had porc & frozen fish for main course, only thing that changed was the sauce ... terrible. Impossible to stay more then 30mn at the swimming-pool due to a terrible smell of clorium and more (???)... my kids were very unhappy with the situation .

Review 6:The staff of the hotel were very polite and helpful . Even if most of the time they're over stressed with the amount of clients . I was promptly answered when asked for some reparations inside my room .

Review 11:I have never met more worthless, ungracious, incompetent reseption staff!!! It seemed like I had to beg them to do their work! I've spent here 7 days, and only once my room was cleaned up. And I personally asked maid about this. The hotel really far away from the ocean beach, and we payed aprox 6 euros for the taxi in one way.

Review 13:Very poor room soundproofing - the lady on the next room had a cough for the 3 days we stayed, and we could hear her loud and clear in our bedroom. Very loud DJ in the pool area in the afternoon made it impossible to stay in the room and rest. Very loud housekeeping staff in the morning, woke us up at 8h30am, but our room was only cleaned by 15h30.

Review 26:Everything in the hotel is worth a four star. But the price is only 60 euro. That also includes dinner and breakfast. Don't you think the food is not good? Yes, it's great! Full dinner with servant and various breakfast breads, sausage, yoghurt, drink, etc. the environment is good too. Ocean view with fresh air.

There is no dark bread, not a lot of fresh fruit, no low-fat, low-sugar anything... No plain yoghturt, no skim milk... A lot of pastry though...

Review 37:The air conditioning noise on the 5th floor made it so that it was impossible to sleep. The furniture inside the bedroom was somewhat worn out and the rest of the hotel needed refurbishing and several commodities were closed for maintenance. The bathroom could have been cleaner, we could tell the bathtub had not been washed properly. The corridor leading to the restaurant wasn't heated and it felt as if we were walking outside the building.

Review 38:The desk employees were very helpful. The sauna and swimming pool were very nice. The food was to our taste.

Review 39:- completly dirty. They upgraded us for a suite because the first room was very dirty and at the check out, they wanted to charge us... I was a bit chocked with so much desorganization. Its a bit overpriced overall. I don't recommend. I can't imagine the chaos during summer time.

Review 41:This is not the first time I have stayed here. This is a very nice place. Clean and modern, and great staff. Food is good and the breakfast included is great for the price. It's only a few minutes from Caparica, one of my favorite beach places, and only about 15 minutes from Lisbon. Easy access to all the freeways to go North or South. I don't think you can beat this place for the price and convenience.

Review 42:The food is not from a 4 stars hotel. At dinner the buffet could have more variety but the worst was the breakfast: the fresh cheese was bad. Also, the service at breakfast was bad (it took around 30 minutes to replace clean glasses).

Review 44:In the bathroom, the place to put the shower fitting was broken, so had to hold it instead of showering under it. In the washbasin the water did not flow out properly. In the Diamonds restaurant, the use of staff seemed poorly organised - all trying to help with everything, rather than each assigned a particular task (serving drinks, clearing tables, checking what food was running out). Quality of food variable. Mushrooms far too salty, Orange juice very watery, Bacalhau à Braz much too dry; other things excellent, such as Lulas recheadas, quiches and cheeses; melon underripe, pineappple perfect.

Review 45:It was very convenient since I was attending a conference at Capuchos. It was clean, I liked the room, kitchenette and bathroom, and generally felt comfortable. Staff were professional and courteous.

Review 48:Reception staff is very chaotic, ignores you while you want to solve the problems they caused with your booking. Is generally captured in their own processes and limited decision competences, e.g. a friend's room card regularly failed and she was refused a new one without the "main" booker of the room being present (which was 2h away). Strangely you could just go at the reception, tell that you needed a new access card to room number X and get one without passport confirmation, so getting into another room would have been easily possible.

Review 49:Nice atmosphere at the pool, nice buildings. Breakfast is ok, but nothing special.

Review 50:reception always understaffed so checking in always takes ages - also, some problems cannot be dealt with without the main manager of the hotel being present (and who is not there every day) so that can be a problem. no minibar in some rooms. they also take full payment on arrival so be prepared for that!

Review 60:Last year my boyfriend and I booked the all included package and found that the lunch and dinner was not worth it. Much cheaper and much better to dine outside of the hotel in the wonderful Portuguese restaurants. In regards to the breakfast: the food and drink selection is good, standard, however the lines to enter and be seated are a real turn off. We waited 10 minutes in line everyday with about 4-5 families in front and sat at the table that was still empty since we arrived. It was a shame to see that the hotel still has not resolved a continual problem that really doesn't put the guests in a good mood from the early hours. Also the music in the pool area from 9am to 7-8pm does become quite bothersome - especially if have a room close to pool area and you want to take a nap.

Review 61:This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend and the closed off section only for hotel guests of the beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas is by far the best and most under promoted part of this hotel. Secondly the pool is great to spend the afternoon after a morning at the beach. Location is great but a car is fundamental when staying at this hotel - 5 minutes to the beach an 15 minutes to the cente of Lisbon.

Review 62:It was the second time, we stayed at this hotel. Three years ago, it still belonged to the MELIA Group. Service, client-centricity, cleaning and comfort was 4 stars. Today, never ever again! Also having booked one 3-bedroom for 3 adults, we got a double room with an additional bed for a kid - not an adult!!! Spent 1 hour discussing with the reception staff - which was very unfriendly and telling me that they have only this kind of 3 bedrooms. I asked him several times whether he would have a bigger additional bed for an adult - but he declined. By insisting to speak to the Hotel Director - guess what happened - they had bigger beds and we get one!!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN! Please also note that they do not belong to the MELIA Group anymore, also still having it on their building!

Review 63:It's very big and impersonal, and it's quite isolated from everything. Only for tour groups and golfers. The main areas are nice but the corridors are narrow and dark...a strange design.

Review 64:I was staying there out of necessity, not my choice. It's far away from Lisbon and the beach of Costa da Caparica is really run down and touristy. The hotel itself is more for tour groups not travellers. The facilities are all there, and the breakfast is good, but it lacks the character of Portugal. We caught the bus to Cacilhas and then the ferry to Cais do Sodré, and had a great day in Lisbon.

Balcony furniture, you wouldn't even use, they looked filthy.

Review 104:- Not clean: our room was never really clean, even when we arrived we had sticky fluid in the fridge, hair in the bedroom and stripes on all mirrors.- bad information at the reception - very unmotivated staff - every day waiting in a line for 20 minutes to get breakfast. there is enough staff, but the management is not working. you feel the stress they have and then you get stressed every morning from the beginning. - always the same breakfast menu, no innovation at all. - i was to A LOT 3 to 5 * hotels in europe, middle east, the US and carribean, but we NEVER spent our money worse and had such a bad and stressful service in a hotel.

Review 116:LOCATION. We booked this hotel to go to the optimus alive festival as it was one of your recommended hotels for this 3 day event. We booked based on price & the distance advised on your website from the hotel to the festival was 3.5 miles. It is in fact around 13.5 miles / 20 minute drive which cost around 25 euros (which included a toll charge) one way by taxi. You therefore, need to ensure your info is right regarding distances as we would not have booked this if we knew the correct distance as the money spent on taxis could have gone towards a more expensive & local hotel. In addition, we booked a twin room but ended up with a double so my friend & I had to share a bed as they were fully booked. The staff advised that apparently our room was upgraded & they offered to set up another bed in the room however, we declined this as there wouldn't have been a lot of space left in the room. This hotel is more suitable for passing coach trips or you need a car as there are no local attractions, restaurants etc.

Review 118:I really didn't like that we had to ask 3 times if the oven and induction could be fixed. And after those 3 times the oven and the induction were still broken. So we gave up. But it was very tiring. And there are 2 restaurants in the hotel and only 1 was availble for non-groups.

Review 120:Not enough shade by the pool, more was being installed while we were there, but it was still insufficient. Guests mark pool chairs with towels, this is typical, but the hotel should not allow it. When trying to have a meal at the Al-Madan restaurant, which faces the pool, we were told we couldn't and had to go to the Diamonds Gourmet restaurant, which wasn't what we wanted. Breakfast was a little hectic on one of the mornings, with an unending line which made us wast over an hour before we could actually eat.

Review 122:We chose a room with a kitchenette but the kitchen has never been used before (no plates, knifes, pan, water boiler). Therefore the hotel is not really suitable for self-caterers. The staff brought us some things but it is better to eat at the hotel (if you have the money for it).

Review 130:It's a little bit out of town, and hemmed in by the motorway,meaning you have to get a taxi/bus everywhere.But a taxi to Caparica is only 4/5 euro. Taxi to/from Lisbon city centre around 25 euro.

Review 131:Wonderful staff. All around the hotel, but, particularly, the alwaysfriendly and helpful front-desk staff.Recently built, everything is clean, modern and comfortable. We had a double room apt for €50 per night in May, excellent value.
