Reviews for Villa La Castagnola
Review 1:The breakfast was very poor!! They did not even have enough bread!! The did not have any kind of cheese or delicatessen!! We also asked for late check out from the booking.com and the lady there, told us that she did not know about that and she told us we could not have a late check out.
Review 2:Very nice place, cool and quiet. But if you do not have a private car is very difficult to get there.
Review 3:Nothing except it was very difficult to find and you need a car because of its location.
Review 4:Beautiful location, spotlessly clean and the owner was lovely. The swimming pool was amazing.
Review 5:We loved it all
Review 6:Perfect stay! Rooms and house are absolutely perfect. Everything is so neatly done, lovely design and quality. Immaculately clean. Our two kids (7, 11) had an amazing time in the great pool. Highly recommended
Review 7:This area near Rome is not touristy not a lot of English spoken and the area is slightly run down.
Review 8:The villa, and the suite was huge with its own terrace balcony. Very rustic but lovely. Very nice pool and garden. Pizzaria next door served pizzas to die for. Not ala carte restaurant.
Review 9:We were very close to lake Albano and I missed having a view and access to the water. (Obviously that is no fault of the owner)!
Review 10:Friendly owners. Particularly nice breakfast on sunny terrace with home made fresh Italian pastries. Swimming pool (we didn't have time to use)
Review 11:Everything was awful. The owner was not at all pleasant as described by previous contributors. The room dull, cold and awful. Heating did not work. Inernet hardly worked. Very poor breakfast and had to squeeze anything more than some cookies from the owner. The area, although they advertise being near the lake, in reality it is in the middle of nowhere and the lake is a far drive and more than that, nothing worthwjile seeing.
Review 12:Nothing
Review 13:Light bulbs varied in lamps and were missing Very little English spoken but we managed Few electrical sockets
Review 14:Service Room with terrace Garden Room interior
Review 15:The pool was freezing and full of bugs, seems to be just for show. Hoped more English was spoken since they have an English website. But basic Italian would suffice.
Review 16:The setting, scenery and location was great. Car recommended to get around. Local train station went straight into Rome. Perfect romantic restaurant across the lake. Room was amazing.
Review 17:The place was very challenging to find at night as the sign is very small and next to a turn on the road which is quite dark. Search it with Google maps under its name and use the route feature, then use the bar-pizzeria as a reference to locate the villa. Language can be an issue.
Review 18:The villa itself is beautiful, peaceful and extremely comfortable, the suite is gorgeous and tastefully decorated, and the grounds are beautiful. Danilla the owner is extremely welcoming and makes you feel at home. She prepares a killer breakfast. The pizzeria a few meters away is excellent.
Review 19:Nothing really
Review 20:A fantastic B & B in touching distance of ROME
Review 21:dim lighting; usual poor Italian bathroom - none of three plug held water
Review 22:Quiet
Review 23:The WiFi didn't function properly, but may be it was the problem of my iPad
Review 24:The look of the room and the house.
Review 25:The swimming pool - bliss on a hot day! And a delightful garden.
Review 26:Having to leave.
Review 27:The relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and friendliness of the owner.
