Review 1：Very difficult to locate the entrance - the picture on Booking shws the mall scene, the entrance is around the back. Reception lady loves to talk, which can be an issue if you really need something done NOW - like check in. Breakfast was great with very good service.

Review 3：Everything, the Hotel is a classic with large comfortable rooms and in the center of Town. Guimaraens is where Portugal was born. It is a 10 minute walk to the famous Castle of Guimaraens and its neighbouring Palace. On route you will find amazing sights and old Cathedrals. Execcelent.

Review 10：It reminded me of Soviet hotels in the 1970s, originally well built and good but now very tired. It was badly in need of a make over. The bedside rugs were bath mats! Breakfast was an odd experience as it was uniquely in our experience not a buffet but served by a waiter. He was friendly but a control freak, it seemed food could only be eaten in the order he decided. He endlessly rushed from table to table and made breakfast a very unsettling experience.One of the few hotels I would never go back to.

Review 19：All of the staff were friendly but the staff member who served us breakfast was exceptional. We had the usual breakfast fare and then she brought us fresh orange juice, fresh fruit salad, cooked us eggs and baked us a fresh orange cake. Outstanding.
Review 20：Good parking out the front with a very helpful reception. Loved the breakfast with fresh orange juice and a wide selection of homemade bread and cake. We overlooked the main square but the sound proofing was excellent.
Review 21：Large room, good breakfast, free wifi, extremely polite and helpful staff without any exception. For that service the price of 60 Euros was very reasonable, I have stayed in worse, but more expensive places quite often.
Review 22：- The staff is fantastic: Susana at the reception and Sr. Gentil in the breakfast room were great, as was everyone else. Make sure you have a chat with Sr. Gentil about local legends and traditions - he'll tell you a lot of interesting stories! Also, my mum forgot a top in the bedroom and one of the cleaning ladies came running to find us by the car and give it back - simply great. - The room: incredibly spacious, with a sofa area separate from the very comfy beds and overlooking the gorgeous Praca do Toural. - Breakfast: is perfect! Just as I remembered from the last time we stayed there about 13 years ago! Make sure you try the orange cake - it's divine. It's continental breakfast and also includes a lovely fruit salad and Portuguese custard tarts. - The location: close to shopping areas and right in the middle of the historic centre - where Portugal was born!
Review 23：After having stayed at 3 other hotels previously, this one beats them all. The staff are excellent ( a vallet parks your car for you if needed; the breakfast waiter is very professional). The building is a curiosity in itself and right in the centre of the old quarter. Our reception on a freezing cold New Year's eve couldn't have been better.

Review 80：The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. They let us park our motorbike right outside the entrance which was most comforting. The location is ideal just round the corner from the old town. The rooms are very big and clean and the air conditioning was perfect. The breakfast was superb and waiter served, thank you to the waiter who was very friendly and spoke very good english. I would highly recommend to stay here and will most definitely return.

Instead of the usual buffet we were served at the table, which was a lovely touch. The reception staff were really helpful even letting us park our motorbikes right by the entrance. Fantastic Hotel.

Review 97：Bed mattress was a nightmare, old, squeaky and painful, so only got two hours of sleep. The size of the bed for two people is way too small. The building structure is not so good, we could hear all neighbors all the time during the night, using the washroom, talking, packing.
