Review 1：All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is ideal - right in the centre of a lovely old town. Reserve parking in hotel recommended as nowhere locally.

Review 2：Excellent family-owned little Hotel, right in the centre of the beautiful old town of Viana do Castelo. The well-designed and perfectly considered small room was quiet, very light and spotlessly clean. Wifi was excellent. All staff incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful giving great advice about local attractions and places to eat. Same family ownes a nearby restaurant, which was a good choice. We pretty much enjoyed our stay in such a perfect place. Thank you for that!

Review 7：In the city center, with nice breakfast (served). If you don't book a parking place at the hotel - no problem, you can park in a garage 5 minutes walk away. Modern room, just the walls are thin, so we heard the neighbor talking. Very nice welcome and help every time we asked for an advice or a nice restaurant. He recommended a great restaurant in the city center where we had a wonderful fish dinner. We talked about this city and about this hotel for days!!! Thank you :)

Review 9：Small budget hotel. Rooms weren't large and there wasn't a lot of storage. Shower room was in the bedroom itself and was made of glass. However the staff were all very friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us.

Review 10：The showers were a very clean but difficult to keep the water from going everywhere. Think they may have issues in the future. The coffee was not up to Portuguese standard!

Review 29：This is a family run business and the staff are so incredibly kind and helpful. We were hiking the Camino and were even shown how to get to the route out of the city for the next day. The hotel is exceptionally clean, rooms are small but modern and functional. Breakfast was delicious. Great value for money.

Review 30：My family and I stayed at Hotel Laranjeira for 14 nights in two adjoining rooms. The hotel is very central to the to the town but not at all noisy. It's modern interior is kept extremly clean. Staff were very hospitable and polite and nothing was too much trouble. John and Eduardo spoke excellent English. Breakfast was good and fresh but slightly lacking in variety for a two week stay. Staff at breakfast were generous almost to a fault. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and will be back whenever possible.

Review 31：Ok for 2 day stay but We stayed 12 days and breakfast was exactly the same each day. Would have been good to vary the breakfasts. For example different breads, different meats and cheeses, offer eggs, offer local meats/ cheeses. Coffee was not nice at all.

The toilet was adjacent to the door to hallway, so if somebody was using the toilet and another wanted to get inside...! We used the toilet in the lobby more than our room.

The location is terrific just a block away frm the historic center on one side and the commercial strip of Viana on the other. The breakfast was very nice and the lady that served it so polite and attentive. The cost was also very reasonable. The room was on the small side but well commensurate with cost plus impeccably clean and well serviced.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast more than adequate with friendly staff to welcome me at 8.00 when each morning I was the only one - although the hotel seemed busy.

Review 54：The room was a bit tight, and the bathroom had no real walls, just glass and naturally, completely see through. Didn't bother me at all since I was alone, and I don't know if that room maybe is only used as a single room, but if you are in two, it might be bit too much.

Review 55：When the lady supervising the breakfast (she seemed to be either the manager or even the owner) comes to your table truly worried you didn't eat enough and tries to pour you a bit more of this and that or give you a piece of home made cake, it feels almost like you are visiting with family, and not staying at a hotel! Also, fantastic location, just behind the main square but quiet, and very nice views from the rooms. Room a bit small, but very clean and had a nice balcony with chairs. Private parking also a bonus, and bargain for 5 euro a night.

The staff was extremely friendly and when we arrived we were given a lot of useful information what to do/ where to eat etc. in Viana do Castelo. The view from the balcony of our room to St. Lucia was amazing! The room was bright and comfortable! The breakfast was very tasty and a lot of food was offered- a variety of bread, fresh fruit (!!), cake...it was a pleasure to stay at this place.

Review 66：Compared to other (mostly cheaper) hotels in Portugal the rooms wererather small. One also needs to like the modern bathroom where one canlook at each other from the room to the toilet... The wifi signal wasmostly absent and poor at most. People serving breakfast were friendly,but that can not compensate for the poor quality of the food items andjuice. Expensive parking.
