Review 1：This motel is basic. Rooms are small; toilet and shower areas are very small. No air conditioning was a major biggie, especially as the temperature was around 27 degrees Celsius; and the fan in main room was ineffective.Not sure if the tens of small house flies that kept company with us could have been controlled by the owners, but whatever, it was something we all didn't like. Did not see any swatters or fly spray, not that we would have used any sprays as the area was too confined.One of the single beds in the small bedroom was not comfortable. The two adult daughters who occupied this room are both of very small build and one reported feeling the springs in the mattress where she slept.All appliances and furniture were pretty basic. Appreciated the free milk 500ml, but for 4 adults, 1 litre would have been better. Fortunately, there is an awesome service station just across the road and it provided just about everything travellers might need if they arrived anytime of day or night.In summary - we stayed at this motel because part of our family had booked here earlier because of its convenient location to a tangi we were attending. We all travelled from the Far North, Bay of Islands, Auckland and Hamilton. Our group took up 4 of the family suites at $150 per room. Unfortunately, one of our families had to purchase 2 standard rooms for the parents and their two adult children, and paid $220. It is a business, granted, but for the sake of one night, a positive report and possible future patronage, might an offer of a slight discount been a good gesture. The owners seemed very nice people. Perhaps if we had asked, they would probably have considered it. To any future travelers, it may pay to ask if you are faced with a similar dilemma.The pool and picnic area was primo and cool. There was also a big playground for the children.
Review 2：Location suited the purpose for our visit ie supporting mourning family who lived in the area and our family all stayed together. Five of our families occupied 4 family suites and 2 standard rooms and the swimming pool and cool picnic area under the trees next to the pool, provided welcome relief from the hot sun and non air conditioned rooms. The pool was a definite plus! and was accessible well into the night, by arrangement, I believe. Free Wifi. The double bed was comfortable and sheets were clean and crisp. Appliances and furniture were basic. Awesome service station across the road which provided everything a traveler could need like hot food, dairy stuff, toiletries, etc.

Review 16：The bathroom had an old stale urine smell even after the owner cleaned it. Carpet need a shampoo . Whilst cleaned doing exercise on the carpet it smelled dusty. I have a strong sense of smell unfortunately which men often don't have.

Review 18：Room 10 How do you fill the jug when there is only the hand basin?? There was no Milo or Chocolate which means if you drink tea and coffee you are okay.

Review 25：Carpark markings were unclear, the wifi access instructions were a hassle, no air conditioning or heatpump, limited shade outside the unit, no sky tv, everything was dated, opened bedroom window and noticed rolls of toilet paper outside the neighbouring units toilet window, ants and flies were a nuisance due to the weather, access to fly spray would be nice
