Clansman Motor Lodge sells fast on our site. Clansman Motor Lodge is a boutique-style accommodation set in a beautiful and leafy private ground. It offers a licensed English-style bar, an outdoor pool, and a guest lounge.
The heated guest rooms features 32-inch flat-screen TV with satellite channels. All rooms also offer a microwave, plunger coffee, and a toaster. Free toiletries and a hairdryer are a standard in all en suite bathrooms.

Review 1：Things just a little tired and dirty in kitchen and bathroom which wasn't reflected in the photos when booking

Review 3：We were unable to use laundry facilities as whole afternoon the machines were in use for unit cleaning. Only had one day to be able to use laundry facilities as were travelling following day. Visited room many times unsuccessfully to find machines either going or stopped but full of facilities washing. Found rooms very old style low chairs not suitable to sit on due to small size and height.

Review 7：Clean and secure with friendly, helpful, cheerful proprietor. We stayed here last year also when passing through Hastings and enjoyed our stay so were happy to stay here again.

Review 8：The noisy fridge - cutting in every 30 minutes or so made for poor sleep. Seemingly replacements are on the "to do" list. The attractive looking bar/dining room portrayed on your website was conspicuously dark & quiet - presumably only available on request ! We didn't follow it up as we have only seen it open once in all the years we have been there (it was very nice on that occasion). We were unable to see any smoke alarms in the unit - would seek reassurance before booking here again. Are they not mandatory?!

Review 12：It was perfect for us. Six adults attending a celebration in Hastings. Beds comfortable could have done with a couple more seats and a larger fridge for the number of people staying. However absolutely fine for the one night

Review 13：As soon as we arrived Leigh had us all sorted into our room and we were made to feel relaxed and comfy just like that. Our room was really spacious and it had everything we could need. Brilliant experience, would stay again and I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone. Happy ladies !!

Review 14：Noise between units not good, and was rather high for what you got. Floor flooded under fridge and room a bit tired. Pretty close to train tracks and room shakes :( and noisey when train passes. A tad expensive - as Motel down the road half the price?

Review 22：The room was tired and out dated for what we paid. There was sticky glass marks on the drawers in the lounge. When addressed with owner they apologised but didn't seem that worried.

Review 24：Such a lovely cute motel! Our room was super clean, comfortable and warm. Nice kitchenette style option. Hosts were just so kind and friendly and it has the cutest 'old English' style pub!

Review 25：Fantastic customer service, it was raining and after being shown to the large family room we were offered help unloading our car. It can be difficult to find comfortable accommodation for a family of six, but the Clansman offered space and we were able to sleep everyone comfortably. Also, due to the weather, we did not feel like going out, the kids went down and sourced some board games for us :)

Review 26：Both rooms that our family stayed in were terribly hot and uncomfortable. There was a floor fan that you had to point straight at yourself to get any benefit from. There are no screens on the windows or sliding doors. When you open them to try to get some breeze through, insects come in. Therefore, you could not leave the windows and sliding door open through the night, so we all woke up with headaches from the fans blowing on us all night. There were cockroaches in the kitchen. The rooms are old and showing their age. The kitchen was very old but clean. I feel bad making negative comments because Lee is so wonderful but you go to a motel to stay in the rooms. I would not stay here again.

Review 27：Lee is an extremely friendly and helpful host. He is willing to do anything he can to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. The rooms were very clean. If the hotel was as wonderful as Lee, I would not hesitate to come back. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

Review 28：Hated not having a sink at the bench. Carpet was dirty in the kitchen. No stove in the kitchen. Far too many cushions on the bed with duvet and another duvet, so no room to put them on so had to leave them on the floor. Someone was using our table outside to smoke their cigs instead of using their own table. No fly spray in unit. Very old. Light in bathroom was terrible.

Review 33：The staff and owners were true blue typical Kiwis. The cleaning staff were friendly and courteous! I wouldn't hesitate booking again! I didn't even realize that they had a pool. I will use it when I stay again!

Review 34：The noise from the Train going past in the middle of the night. The brightness of the morning (5:30am onwards) in the rooms with curtains drawn.

Review 35：The simplicity of the Motel. The trampoline and playground was perfect for our toddler to have fun. The wireless was great too! The little kitchenette was great for everything we needed and wanted to do.

Review 36：No table and chairs to eat at had to clean down outside table/chairs & bring them in.(Only a 'workstation' with one chair). Lack of drawer space. Only 2 coat hangers. Hanging multiplug for TV and microwave in kitchen a worry crackling when touched (i.e. trying to plug in jug) had to remove it all when using other appliances. We have stayed her before but had a larger and better equipped unit. Everything seemed minimal this time - soap/crockery. More like provisions for 1 person only sleeping there.

The accommodation itself suited our family very well and it was nice and clean. Bed sheets and towels were changed every day which is really good. Loved staying at Clansman Lodge and will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere nice and quiet to stay. We will definitely be staying there again in the future for sure! Review 39：Door lock not operating correctly, was repaired after being unlocked for a few hours. The orange stain on the carpet. The black stain on the ceiling above the bed.(looked like mould growing.) The dirty bed throw, this needed a good clean before being placed on the bed.
