Review 1：It's a unique experience. No English so the stay felt very authentic. The rooms are not fancy but clean and comfortable. Very mom & pop and it's a family run business. No sandy beaches it's all rocky. We were the only English speaking guests and tourists in the area during late September. We would definitely return.

Review 2：Didn't like the location - but this was mainly due to the construction work outside. Is it construction or just hiding the pebbly beach, crane and excavators? Shame as it is not helping this hotel. Taxi from the station cost 10euros which seemed a bit excessive compared to other taxi journeys in Italy -but felt uneasy walking to the main part of the town.

Review 6：They are building a new marina in front of the hotel which will be fabulous when finished . It wasn't noisy at all when I was there but it's something that detracts from the view.

Review 7：It is handily placed for the old town and the new part over the pedestrian bridge. Friendly staff. I would have stayed another night but the police were arriving the following day for the migrant crisis there.

Review 8：Very clean and modern. Excellent staff. At this writing, this hotel and Ventimiglia is family- and pet-centric with only a hint of foreign tourism. No buses, no ships, no trains, no tours. Come, relax and enjoy real Italian hospitality. The town itself is a little shabbier than my lovely wife would like but the quiet charm more than compensates for the sparse paint. The Sole Mare hotel is the perfect home base to discover the area.

Review 12：Ventimiglia is a pretty and interesting town. The hotel is on the end of the promenade looking out over the Mediterranean. The room had a balcony with a great view. Friendly helpful staff.

Review 13：The morning attendant was not friendly and he didn't offer the cup of coffee that had been agreed to in advance via email. While we left too early to have the breakfast that is included in the rate and we paid for, we were disappointed not to be able to have at least a cup of coffee.

Review 14：Our train from France was delayed and unfortunately, we arrived at midnight. Gino the overnight attendant welcomed us with great professionalism. As per our request, Gino had reserved in advance a taxi for 6:00am to take us to the train station. The room was impeccable and the bed was excellent. Convenient location if traveling by train.

(A new passagiata along the sea is currently under construction, so the beach is a short walk down the street); great bed, large room, terrace, beautiful view in room from Italy to France, nice bathroom, very clean, excellent breakfast and very nice staff.

Review 16：Very misleading sea view and balcony photos. Faced old and a bit rusty. Owner cribbed about late check in They promised a sea view room but gave one where we could only see trees! When asked no good response. They asked for extra 50 euros through booking.com for a room with a view which was originally booked in any case Dump yard in front which you won't see in their photographs. No facilities in room not even a kettle. For everything u need to go down to ask the chatty but not so helpful owner who makes rude comments about how you take your coffee! Review 50：Sole Mare was a pleasent new hotel across the road from the sea, with every room having a water view which was great, although at the moment a marina is being built across the road so there are areas closed off. We were catching a 6.33am train to Rome so were unable to enjoy the "breakfast included" in the booking fee. The night porter made us coffee before we left. The boulevard along the foreshore is nice to walk along and there was an excellent nearby.

Review 54：Отдыхал с семьей в Sole Mare в начале августа. Заказал двухместный номер с видом на море. Номер очень понравился. Он светлый, просторный, удобный, большая ванная, с балконом. В номере есть мини сейф, холодильник, небольшой ЖК ТВ, письменный стол, шкаф, две тумбочки, место для чемоданов. На балконе столик и два стульчика. На втором этаже балконы больше по размеру. Окна выходят на море и на строящуюся стоянку для яхт. Стройка идет медленно и вообще не беспокоит. Персонал в отеле очень дружелюбный. Номер хорошо убирают. На ресепшене можно бесплатно брать карты различных городов. Завтрак классический: напитки (очень вкусный кофе варят), бутерброды, йогурт, фрукты, джем. Море рядом с отелем просто замечательное. Галечный пляж, очень чистое море, лежаки платные (8 евро за лежак и 4 за зонтик на день), если брать на неделю, то дешевле. Два лежака и зонтик – 20 евро. Недалеко есть песчаная бухта. Не забудьте взять пляжные полотенца или покупайте на месте в городе. Отель расположен в старом городе, что делает его более привлекательным по отношению к другим отелям. Вокзал в 10 минутах ходьбы. До городского рынка с фруктами и большого супермаркета 8 минут. Рядом с отелем есть два ресторана в которых очень прилично можно поужинать. Средняя цена ужина на 2х человек – 50 евро. Нам очень понравилось наше пребывание в данном отеле. Спасибо большое!I’ve spend my summer holidays with my family in the Sole Mare hotel in early August. I booked a double room with sea view. The room liked me very much. It is bright, spacious, comfortable, large bathroom, with balcony. The room has a mini safe, a refrigerator, a small LCD TV, desk, wardrobe, two bedside tables, space for suitcases. On the balcony we had a table and two chairs. The second floor balcony is larger than on the other floors. The windows overlook the sea and marina which was under construction. Construction is slow and did not bother. The staff at the hotel was very friendly. The room is well cleaned.

Review 55：Very small roomsize, staff at breakfast incapable of cooking an egg(either raw or rockhard) fried eggs not on breakfast menue. Extra moneyfor seaview outrageous since the sea has been replaced by a buidingsite for a new harbour. Very noisy because of traffic coming out ofadjoining tunnel

Review 75：This hotel was located in an ideal position for our visit, the facilities at the hotel were as expected, the presentation was of a high standard. The staff were friendly and helpfull with good communication skills. Whilst there is a marina development opposite the hotel, the standard of cleanliness was exceptional, and disruption to the locality minimal, with virtually no noise disturbance, indeed watching the construction was of significant interest. There are good restaurants within walking distance serving local dishes. The breakfast at the hotel was included in the rate, and whilst there was not great variation, the quality and quantity was substantial. We enjoyed our stay and would visit again if in the area.
