Reviews for Hotel Sea Gull

Review 1:Check out staff, wind blowing in the bedroom and right on top of our heads from the window screen overhead box, which altogether with flimsy walls and rude hotel guests contributed to an almost sleepless night, central heating that was sparely used, price too high for the service. definitely not a winter hotel.

Review 2:Nice location, nice welcome, good euro breakfast, free parking, cleanliness, comfortable bed, warm staff, view

Review 3:The original setting must have been stunning when it was just pine groves and beach. Unfortunately they are building a leisure marina just outside the hotel. Luckily we stayed over the weekend so there was no construction work going on. Otherwise I imagine it could be quite noisy. Once the Marina is finished it will be a bustling, lively place, but also more expensive than now.

Review 4:The hotel was easy to find and an easy walk to the beach, good restaurants and bars. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is situated just under the most ancient part of the town. I would happily stay again. Breakfast was good and the back ground music in the lobby (classic jazz and big band) was great.

Review 5:Only thing to be considered today(2015-2016) is city port (leisure) consttruction infront and aside of the hotel. usual complications like car parking, noise, traffic jams etc

Review 6:Friendly and helpful staff. Good location and getting into superb in coming years. Rooms & facilities are modest but reasonably priced.

Review 7:I'm not used to old school toilets however I can't say there wasn't anything we didn't enjoy

Review 8:Staff was friendly and helpful. Accommodations were tight however we were not there to enjoy the hotel. Location was perfect for us to go into Monaco and other places around the area . This hotel serves the best cappacinos

Review 9:Area immediately outside the hotel (the promenade) is currently under renovation, so views of construction equipment and constructions boards not the best and certainly not the views of the seas we were expecting to see during our stay. In addition, this hotel and the hotel opposite were being used to accommodate the numerous police required to oversee the current immigration crisis they have in Ventimiglia, which isnt the hotel's fault but made us feel a bit uneasy as guests. Finally, the "free wifi" was not that fast and usage was restricted by the hotel with passwords/log ons etc having to be constantly renewed all the time, which was quite frustrating.

Review 10:Friendly staff, especially the night team! Lovely looking hotel and exceptionally clean.

Review 11:Forgot to ask for wifi code so unsure on how wifi was.

Review 12:The view from this B&B was incredible :)!! We got given a massive 5 bedroom room even though there were two of us Amazing lovely man at reception Showed us the wine cellar and we purchased two great bottles Was easy to find Well sign posted from street and then down drive Yummy breakfast too

Review 13:Be aware that they charge the first night 6 days before you arrive. The room is very small and there are still construction works in front of the hotel. Is is difficult to find, you must enter the tunnel to Marina San Giuseppe to get there.

Review 14:Good breakfast, and nice staff. The city is small and within walking distance. You walk near the sea and it is very beautiful. The restaurant "Vecchia Napolis" near the bridge is good (pizza, and good pasta).

Review 15:The ocean view wasn't really anymore. The trees and bushes have grown up since the photos were taken.

Review 16:The staff was very nice and helpful. It was a bit of a walk from the train station but out of the main part of town and was quiet. It looks like a new marina in being built in front of the hotel but it looks to be year or so until completion. It has an elevator which was a nice break for my knees.

Review 17:The internet was difficult to access with passwords. We didn't have a room in the main building so it was dark, small and not particularly nice. The front desk staff seemed to have a chip on her shoulder, but trid to be helpful.

Review 18:The room was fine and the breakfasts were sumptuous! The area was located within easy access to the town and interesting historic places.

Review 19:at the moment view hidden by work site once finished the hotel will provide a tranquil spot to stay with a spettacular view over the new port.

Review 20:staff friendly and helpful, rooms clean and comfortable

Review 21:nothing

Review 22:Situated in a pleasant and quiet environment, The hotel is full of "Italian" character, with an attractive reading lounge. One is greeted with a warm welcome. Bedrooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast above average

Review 23:poor breakfast room without balcony very small. Shower so small! in both rooms

Review 24:good wifi, car parking very useful and necessary. air condition worked well

Review 25:I don't think we disliked anything. The marina is still being constructed but there was no noise or disturbance.

Review 26:The whole ambience of the hotel was very calm and friendly - tucked away in a corner, overlooking the sea and marina. At night all you could hear was murmuring of others guests on the terrace and the cicadas. Room was extremely clean and had everything you could need.

Review 27:A nice room in a well kept hotel right across the road from the beach. Appreciated reading on their site that there were works taking place across the road. Friendly and informative staff made for a pleasant stay.

Review 28:The wifi was poor, unable to send a simple e-mail.

Review 29:The staff were very friendly and the room was good, comfortable with a view of the garden. The hotel is located at the foot of the old town and at the end of the beach, the blot on the landscape being the construction work opposite the hotel.

Review 30:This was our second stay at the Sea Gull and enjoyed it as much this time. We had a room with a balcony which was pleasant. The hotel is situated in the more 'sophisticated' area of the town and although the Marina is still under construction this doesn't really detract from a stay here. The owner is charming and helpful and public beaches are close at hand with several restaurants on the promenade. The breakfast was good with lots of fresh fruits and delicious breads etc.

Review 31:location nothing special, sea view advertised, but there is a new marina under construction, so you will have a view of contstuction site. Too expensive for what you get.

Review 32:clean facility, friendly staff

Review 33:No

Review 34:Staff brilliant. Rooms spotless. Fresh breakfast

Review 35:Location close to beach and restaurants

Review 36:Great breakfast table and staff always made sure we were well taken cared of. I also love family businesses!

Review 37:Well equipped room . Friendly staff

Review 38:We have often been to Hotel Seagull. The staff make it now feel more like a home.

Review 39:location

Review 40:Had a great feel to it

Review 41:sea view blocked by work outside the hotel

Review 42:Clean hotel and friendly staff. Stayed for one night at the end of November and were the only guests. Breakfast good choice

Review 43:Lovely spot with hospitipal staff. When the marina is completed we hope that hotel seagull has great success.

Review 44:good breakfast, comfy beds, very friendly reception staff, pleasing walk to town. Nice family hotel. will certainly use again. Mark, Deborah and Amy

Review 45:Marina work spoils otherwise beautiful view of ocean.

Review 46:Quiet location easily walkable to City and lovely restaurants nearby.

Review 47:Relaxed but very helpful service in a great location

Review 48:The variety of food items of breakfast, included in the room price, was the same every day.

Review 49:Really nice hotel. Few frills but everything required available. Very friendly and courteous staff. Located on the seaside near a number of restaurants on the beach. A few minutes' walk to the center and shopping are of the town. A few minutes' drive to major roads and autoroute A8.

Review 50:Bathroom shower in the Garden View room is very small

Review 51:Convenient and beautiful location about 10 -15 min pleasant walk(about 1 Km.) from the train station. Unfortunately the great view from the hotel blocked by the dock construction that might still last for a few years. However the hotel itself is cozy, extremely clean facilities, and an inviting terrace where breakfast was served or just to enjoy a drink in the evening.

Review 52:They advertise a sea view but trees obscure this and unfortunately a new marina is under construction which detracts from view When it is finished it be much nicer

Review 53:Very friendly staff clean andeasy to get to from train station in a 10 minute walk Balcony smal but adequate

Review 54:There was some construction in front of hotel as mentioned on the site, but never heard a thing, so no problem at all...

Review 55:Just loved it here - booked for a night and ended up spending four... My kind of hotel, friendly staff, unfussy place, good espresso in the morning. Super clean, goodness. Someone has mentioned temperamental wifi, but never encountered that. Will be back for sure.

Review 56:The corridor is a bit smelly The front of the hotel is underconstruction They did not replenish the breakfast half an hourbefore the end

Review 57:Decent if you have no other choice

Review 58:Sea view is temporarily obstructed by new port construction. Hotelcharges for internet connection.

Review 59:Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was quite small but clean andcomfortable. Nice seaside location and easy, leisurely walk to town andhistorical center. Strong wifi reception.

Review 60:The near road is a bit noisy and the sea-view is just a view on a big workspace for the new habour. If you want to go for dinner, don't take the stella marina at the beach. We were 5days ill after eating moles and spaghetti carbonara in this place.

Review 61:Room is big and clean. Bathroom too. staff is more or less friendly and helpful.

Review 62:The new marina constraction is going on already several years just infront of the hotel, hiding the see view and, possibly, making somenoise. Now it's going on with almost no activity, just fewworkers are doing something, but nevertheless it might create somenoise, not enduring

Review 63:Nice location at very quite part of the sea-front It has agreement withnearest private beach and you can swim and stay there free but shuoldrent chairs and other stuff, 16 Euro per day/person Personal is verycourteous Breakfast is excellent ..fnd quitness.. When you hear in themorning just cooing of local pigeons..

Review 64:The town empties out every afternoon - completely dead and there is very little else to do without a car.

Review 65:Close proximity to township and the lovely walks

Review 66:The hotel is lovely, and the staff are accommodating. While there isconstruction right outside, it isn't terribly noisy, and there isstill beach close by.

Review 67:construction in front on marine but new water front will be beautiful and great for visitors with boats.

Review 68:beach and seaside walk. fantastic location especially after Marine is finished. Short walk to shopping and park. Located on the quieter side of the river inlet

Review 69:We had a room with a balcony and a sea view, unfortunately overlooking the construction of a new marina. There was some noise the first few days and then construction ceased for the August holiday so it was fine. The breakfasts were very good and the garden terrace was very pretty and very pleasant when it was too hot to sit on the balcony. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Review 70:What I missed so much that we didn't have a fridge in the room what would have been very useful in the hot weather. The Wi-Fi is not free!!! It is for 3,5Euro/ hour. The breakfast was nice but boring on the 3th day. It were always the same foods.

Review 71:Nice staff, very clean and neat rooms. Yes , there is a construction site opposite the hotel but the noise of it was not disturbing only 1 or 2 times during our week. I think it is calmer then a hotel in the centre of the city. The hotel is very close to the city and the beach and there is a sanded beach not far from the hotel what is perfect to the children.

Review 72:May be very noisy until the new harbour is built.

Review 73:This is a very nice hotel - clean and neat. We stayed in June 2012, andat that stage they were building a new harbour right outside our window!Fortunately we were there on a weekend so there was no noise, but Isuspect that the harbour-view rooms would be noisy until this iscomplete. Of course when the new harbour is built, this hotel will havea wonderful position, right on the edge of the water. Worth checkingwith them to see just how much noise you might expect.

Review 74:Construction nearby

Review 75:Good breakfast.

Review 76:The very unstable and "weak" WiFi

Review 77:The friendly and helpful staff The nice decoration and selection of colors

Review 78:Area in general waiting for the marina to finish.

Review 79:Friendly staff, clean rooms and good breakfast.

Review 80:Breakfast a little bit small

Review 81:The hotel is nice, the room was clean as a bathroom.

Review 82:No mini bar. Parking very squeezy

Review 83:Breakfast and general ambience was good. Lovely gardens. Good location.

Review 84:Traffic exiting from the tunnel near our room

Review 85:Right near the water

Review 86:Receptionist very helpful.

Review 87:Good location. Friendly staff.

Review 88:Great little hotel in a lovely harbourside location

Review 89:internet was limited to one person at a time

Review 90:breakfast was great!!

Review 91:very friendly staff, quiet place and good comfort.

Review 92:Very friendly staff

Review 93:Very attractive and very clean with a very nice breskfast

Review 94:It was a great experience......they need to update their wi Fi to useapple devices

Review 95:Lovely location right on the beach, lots of restaurants nearby. Staff friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable woth a great view.
