Review 1：The temperatue of the hot shower is inconsistent but still bearable.
Review 2：The bus stop to Seoraksan is just about 5 minutes by foot. Conveniet stores are also within walking distance.
Review 3：The male staff in the night is not very helpful. The dustbin in my room was missing, when asking him for it, he is not willing to leave his TV, he just point to the direction asking me to look for it myself. I can't find it and give up as he is so into his TV programme, end up I have to throw my rubbish into the plastic bag of my own.
Review 4：This is my 2nd time staying here! Love the Korean style room, sleeping on the warm floor feel very comfortable in the cold night. Futon is great to sleep on without any backache waking up in the morning after whole day walking. The female lady boss in the day is very friendly, always smiley and all wiling to help, she even let me choose the room I want. The cleaner lady was very helpful too.

Review 11：Good access to the center by frequent buses No. 7 - just 3 stops from the express bus terminal. The same bus go to the park. Lot of grocery stores and restaurants around. Room is fine and clean. Well equipped kitchen and free breakfast.
Review 12：I really like the ondol room, we were there when the wheather is extremely cold, we were thinking we can slp well, but they provide the warmer below the ondol room, so even you slp on floor, you will feel warm. I like the kitchen area,it so beautiful with full of reviews there. We felt comfort to stay there. The owner also very kind, he tell you where to go to or from by bus. Very convinience We enjoy travelling there. Thx so much marine guest house

Review 16：The breakfast. Although we had to cook ourselves, the food stuff provided by guest house were quite plenty. We had bread, egg, butter, jam, coffee, tea and milk for the breakfast and there was no restriction in the quantity we took.
Review 17：The staff of the hostel was very friendly! Although there was a pretty high language barrier, they helped us a lot by suggesting hiking routes & spots in the Seoraksan national park. They also offered maps for the city and the national park. The location of the hostel is also very nice, directly next to a small port, where you can buy every kind of fish. Perfect for spending a relaxed evening.

Review 20：As we booked a private room (korean style) for two, it is sooo great !!! TV, hair dryer, big mirror, table, refrigerator, etc. All you need is well prepared !! Female staff in the day time and male staff in the night time. No need to worry whenever you need a help !! Both of them are helpful and kind !! And especially the kitchen, we love it soooo much !! It is so lovely and have fresh milk, coffee, juice, sausage, cabbage, egg, bread provided !! Also the location is so great, just 1mins to the seafood market !!

Review 25：There was not a large variety of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and none of them spoke English. The majority of restaurants were sashimi-style, but we were able to find one that grilled the fish.
Review 26：We got a quadruple room for my husband, myself, and our 2 toddlers. We had 1 double bed, and a bunch of korean mattresses (which my 4 yr old slept on) and plenty of room for our play pen. Plus the kids had extra room to run around. We were less than a mile walk from sokcho beach, and about a 10 min drive from Naksan beach.
Review 27：The bathroom does not have enough ventilation, so that there is mold on the ceiling and a musty smell in the room. There are no sheets on the beds or pillowcases, and the mattress cover and blankets are not routinely washed, causing an odor of stale sweat and creating a health concern. The mattress is a bit hard.
Review 28：Location is easy to find, on a major transit route, and around the main attractions. The price is good for the area. It is nice to have private bathrooms in the dormitories. The kitchen is well equipped. The breakfast food is adequate and the cafe is handy and pleasant. Water is readily available.
Review 29：There was a musty smell in the guesthouse, I'm guessing cos the place is kinda old. Bathroom ceiling was leaking a little. Bathroom shower runs water of the opposite temperature of what's indicated.

Really convenient to get to the Seoraksan National Park; walking distance (if you enjoy walking) to the Seorak Sunrise Park, Oeongchi Beach and Sokcho Beach. Provides towels and bottled water. Breakfast items included chicken franks, eggs, onions, toast, coffee and more.

The location is great, cause is 10 minutes from sokcho beach, but is on a harbour, which is really nice to watch the boats and all the fishing culture.
Review 33：We are an american family who have lived in korea for almost 2 years but this was our first visit to Sokcho beach. We are easy going and this hotel was fine by our standards. We have a 3 and 6 year old and stayed in the quadruple room. It was spacious enough and exactlyas described. Having lived in korea for awhile now we knew the bed would be rock hard.. that may come asa surprise for others but we expected it. We drove our own vehicle and sokcho beach was less than 5 minutes away and easy to find. Our children enjoyed the location of this hotel which is right in the center of the fish market. The staff was kind, helpful, and spoke english. We would definitely recommend this hotel. You can't beat the price.

Review 65：The bathrooms haven't been updated in forever and the ventilation was poor so the bathroom was never not damp. The ceiling dripped water the whole time and was a little moldy. Other guests were incredibly noisy around 5-5:30 AM.

We liked the location...it's a newly developed/re-developed area so there were many places to check out (loads of fresh seafood, a new cocktail/coffee place, and a yummy bunch spot.) The front of the guesthouse has a new little coffee shop connected to the front (discounted coffee prices for guests..and they serve draft beer in the evening) Our room (4 person dorm) was clean and it had its own shared bathroom just for that room, which was nice. Could use some updating though in the rooms/bathrooms. The kitchen was really the saving grace of this place. Very big and homey. Nice place to just hang out in and eat.

Review 68：I loved that Marine Guesthouse was by the sea. It was a very comfortable and clean 4-room bunk dorm with shower attached. I also really appreciated the breakfast area, in which they guesthouse provided eggs, sausages, toast bread, jam, butter, onions and other utensils you could use to cook. The guesthouse is also comfortably located both near the sea for a stroll to watch the sunrise (only a 10 min walk to the pier and lighthouse). Bus stops were also just a 5 min walk away that could take us to Seoraksan. I had an excellent time here, and the staff were very friendly and willing to help. Definitely value for money, and I'd come back anytime.

Review 76：The location was just opposite the fish market where we caught fresh fish and had it cooked! The kitchen was decorated homely & although breakfast was simple, it was good enough. Wi-fi was available throughout so no issues even if you had to do office work for a short while.

The location is prominent, we could enjoy the seafood and the sea view by just crossing the street. Really excellent stay!
Review 78：In a city with no subways, this place is considered easy to find because it's near the bus stop and just by the side of the road with big signage on its premise. Only 15-20 minutes drive from the bus terminal. 7Eleven is just next to it with an ATM that accept any global cards for cash withdrawings. Plenty of seafood restaurant and the nearest is just next to it too! A minutes across the street there's a harbour with breathtakings views.. The daylight staff is helpful, although she's not local but fluent in english. During my stay, i'm lucky to met the owners husband & wife, he even gave me a lift to the bus terminal. He's a mountaineers so you might get lucky to follow him hiking Mt Sorak!
