Reviews for Hotel Fujita Nara
Review 1:I chose the hotel because of the location and early check in time. Check in was written as 13.00 and we only had 1 day in Nara so we planned to check in and immediately go sightseeing as the temple closes at 17.00. We arrived at 13.30 and our room wasn't ready. We left our bags and went sightseeing - the only thing which was good is that they delivered our bags to our room while we were out :-) Only 1 plug socket in the room, in the hallway but later we found an extension cable.
Review 2:The hotel was about 5 minutes walk from the train station. It was very easy to find! The room was small but practical and clean. There was a kettle, fridge and toiletries.
Review 3:electric outlet number is ONLY one !!! that I can't charge my phone ,camera at the same time !!
Review 4:Good location, close to park and railway station, nice employees, always friendly and helpful
Review 5:Overpriced for a very average hotel. On the female only floor there was no yukata available (robe) I had requested one a couple of times, the pajamas were way too small for this westerner. When i had to change rooms I discovered that the hotel did have robes in these general rooms.
Review 6:Excellent location .
Review 7:Discreet service and high comfort level of rooms. Also, Reception staff were very obliging and had excellent English. We enjoyed staying on the 'Women's Only' floor.
Review 8:You could smell the cigarette smoke from the smokers' rooms on the floor.
Review 9:Very professional and helpful staff that speaks English. The hotel provides everything you could think of. Good price.
Review 10:- carpet in the hallway needs cleaning or replacing. Our room carpet also needed exchange otherwise super clean. - low exit signs in the hallways, it hurts when you hit it as europer
Review 11:- great location, just 7 min from Second main Nara station. In center of pedestrian street. - we were upgraded from double room to suite for free - clean room, spacious - amazing location! - very quiet hotel
Review 12:I guess the hotels in Nara are small therefore bathroom is small too.
Review 13:The place is a few minutes away from the train station. Its a few walks away to the tourists information center, you can also walk to the 5 Pagoda Temple, etc. Park. Staff are friendly. There's Lawson's near the train station and some restaurants nearby.
Review 14:Very basic room. The interior of the room was very old, for example the sofa was worn and dirty. The breakfast buffet was included in our room price, but nevertheless it was by far the worst breakfast of the entire trip with few breakfast items for Westerners and a 70's interior. From the pics and the description on booking.com this seemed a good place to stay, but unfortunately we were disappointed by the low standard.
Review 15:Central location. Good beds. Silent.
Review 16:Internet was very slow even the web surfing took a long time to load. Rooms were old (especially Toilet) and bit Dirty. There were smell of Cigar in the room. Moreover, Air Conditioning was not working properly.
Review 17:The hotel is located approximately five minutes walk from the JR Nara station and also close to other attractions such as Todaiji Temple. It had restaurants nearby as well.
Review 18:We lived in the 2nd floor, very close to the cemetery. There was a street light outside the window and it lighted up all night long, which was too bright to sleep.
Review 19:Clean and tidy, helpful staff, very close to the station and reasonable price!!

Review 25:big room for japanese norms, nice breakfast and location close to everything: museumes, temples and shrines, shopping, restauarants and transport
Review 26:Felt that the breakfast was a little overpriced for what was offered from a Westerners point of view, even with the discount.
Review 27:Comfortable, well appointed rooms, spotlessly clean. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great location and pleasant ambience.
Review 28:Bed a little small but okay. That's my only bad point

Review 32:The hotel doesn't offer any laundromat facilities like other hotels do. No Onsen (Bath House). Staff don't have enough English to go that extra step.

Review 42:The location is petfect. It's almost in the middle between Nara station and Nara Park. 5 mins from the station to the hotel and 6-7 minutes to the park. The lobby is really pretty and the breakfast was also sufficient and a wrstern style buffet.

Go out the left of the hotel & walk straight all the way, it brings you to the souvenir/ shopping street leading to the 5 story pagoda, Nara Park & other attractions. The small side streets were also full of shops & restaurants. The hotel room was of a decent size (most hotel rooms in Japan are tiny), clean, with a gown, slippers, kettle, dehumidifier, hair dryer in the room.
